  1. Nope Have you ever eaten something off the floor before?
  2. ^ What's Chipotle's specialty? I tried their braised carnitas but wasn't really impressed. It was still good though. I wanna know cus you're not the only one who's hyping it.
  3. I understand that he's one of the best defenders on the team, but there are a few things that annoy me some of which were explained in the article. One thing is that he'll give a lot of space to people behind the three point line. This is one is getting pretty obvious. Now yesterday against Atlanta was a good reason that he should've been roaming more towards the paint because, well, we gave up a [expletive] ton of layups/dunks. But when Bynum comes back I think he should make that less of a habit. The twin towers are soft but they aren't the worst defenders, and they have to learn. Another thing is that Kobe himself thinks he's playing safety, roaming and ignoring his man. Dont get me wrong tho, if there's any man who should be roaming, it's Kobe. However, there doesn't even have to be a free safety. I feel that if Kobe actually plays his man, team defense can establish better so that there isn't any defensive lapses. Maybe it's confirmation bias, but many times I see that it's Kobe's or Farmar's man who gets the open shot. Also the thing that annoys me the most is that Kobe will almost never attempt to block a dunk, not even with his offhand. He just refuses to be a on the bad end of a poster. Overall though, our defense is a lot more consistent than last season and i couldn't be happier about it. We regressed a little bit this month, but ultimately we're still identified as a strong defensive team. Now we just gotta figure out the offense...
  4. Kinda, not really. I dunno why Mo Evans started up a double tech with Artest, but I think Gasol was hit hard because Farmar fouled Al Horford pretty hard. Paschulia always plays Gasol well with physicality too.
  5. Atlanta is guarding Gasol pretty well. They're doing well to deny him the ball and forcing him to pass.
  6. Gotta go with Kid Cudi. More of my taste. Drake doesn't seem to stand out to me as much. Agree with HipHopHead tho, both haven't made a big impact. Theyve been getting alot of help from main stream bigs to get out there.
  7. Kobe's defense isn't overrated. He's an intelligent defender who knows exactly where the ball wants to go and can block the direction. He also knows how to utilize his teammates' help defense to his advantage. His jumper is how he defines himself. He resorts to the jumper more than any dunk highlight would suggest. And he never was as efficient as Jordan or Lebron in closing in on the rim. There are times that I recall where Kobe would miss an easy layup. He's no Derek Fisher, but he's not Josh Smith either. Why is he less efficient? Because of his level of athleticism. Sure he can dunk, but it's at a heavier expense and more of a challenge than those mentioned before. My point is that he was never a Vince Carter or a Jordan who can finish really well at the rim and that's why he's preferred his jumper.
  8. I would say that it's a good game. I feel though that it should be played in many short segments rather than few long ones. The dungeons feel less restricting that way. Also, there isn't any minigame that can compare to the mini games from 10 and before. The story is good. The music isn't as good as others but is still good. The gameplay is pretty cool and original for an rpg. If you liked 12 i think you'll like it. If i'm bored enough, I mite write a review about it since i just finished it.
  9. That's what I'm saying about Kobe's jumpshot. He's had to rely on his jumpshot more than other alltime greats due to his lack of a noticeably great physical gift. Jordan had rockets on his shoes and big mitts. Magic Johnson had dominating strength to support his pinpoint passes (like Lebron). The only great that didn't have noticeably great athleticism was Larry Bird, but he was gifted with a Hall of Fame cast throughout his career. As a second option though, Kobe did alot. Like RD said, he defended the best guy on the other team while also facilitating the offense and making plays. Compared to Pippen in Jordan's teams, Kobe was alot more influential because of that.
  10. "Kobe Bryant Wasn’t As Big of a Factor As Perception Makes it Seem" Disagree. Kobe was a great facilitator and playmaker in the perimeter during the Shaq dynasty. He also fails to mention Kobe's defense. "Kobe Bryant is One of The Most Under-Performing Finals Player Ever" This one I would actually agree with if it wasn't so exaggerated. Saying this and saying Kobe plays better during the season than he does in the playoffs is completely different. This is compared to a person like Jordan whose stats increased a lot during the playoffs. That being said, as a Laker fan I'm still waiting for Kobe to explode in a playoff game to break Elgin Baylor's record because he's certainly capable. "Kobe Bryant’s FGP Isn’t Up There With The All-Time Greats" Disagree that this makes Kobe underrated. It's true but he also states WHY his field goal percentage is so low and that's because he's reliant on his jumpshot. I don't see why that makes him overrated though. Out of the all time greats I would say that Kobe was the least athletic or physically gifted. And not too many players are consistently great with their jumpshot. Jordan is the only person that comes to mind and that's why Kobe gets compared to him.
  11. I should make it clear that I mean scoring wise. Even if he is the product of the GSW's pace, he's shown that his offensive arsenal is already bigger than all other rookies. He can shoot off the dribble, create plays, shoot the three, and he's flashy too. And ya, he hasn't proven anything defensively but that hasn't stopped Nash from being great. Tyreke Evans can drive to the basket really well and has a good dribble, but he hasn't developed a reliable shot yet where Curry already has a very deadly quick release. Don't get me wrong though, Evans will be great, but Curry will be right alongside him.
  12. Even though Curry may not get ROY, I feel that he's got more potential than Evans. Judging by his performance in this game, he's got the vision, skill, and shot to be the next Nash.
  13. This is Larry Brown we're talking about. It's not D'antoni who has no idea how to handle egos. Then they got Jordan to teach him at least some humility. But ya he was waived by the Kings.
  14. I don't understand how it's luck when it's happened so many times this season. Maybe he's biased because he played against Jordan himself and doesn't like the idea that someone else is that much better than him. I agree that this Lakers couldn't beat those Jordan's Bulls though.
  15. Michael Jordan is better mostly because of his consistency. Sure Kobe scored 81 but Jordan averaged 30+ in more seasons. Also Kobe sure has the fundamentals down more than anyone can say for any other player, but Jordan had the athleticism. There's a difference between knowing how to do something and how to do something consistent and with ease. I think it was Tex Winter that said something like "Kobe knows the game a lot better than he plays it."
  16. Is the game refd? If it isn't, it's Kobe. Not because refs favor Lebron but because Kobe knows how to play dirty.
  17. I played the demo for this and it was really really gory. Kratos rips out a guys head with his bear hands! It wasn't even smooth either. He ripped it out as rough as he could. You could honestly see and hear every piece of skin separating between his neck and abdomen. That's only the demo though. I can only imagine what comes after that. Sounds fun but this isnt my type of game haha.
  18. I wanna play this but i got finals to worry about till next week friday. i'm not going to be able to concentrate at all lol
  19. Kung Fu Panda or Pineapple Express. Though Adult Swim has some ridiculous shows just for this occasion.
  20. ^Ya I agree it was a very frustrating game from calls to no calls. Lakers in particular have played this horrid the past three games. Also, Finals are getting more and more less likely for the Lakers. It's pretty common for fans to assume that their team were at the bad end of calls and opposing teams are at the good end. In the end, you just gotta enjoy the game and trust that the refs.
  21. Kelly Dwyer So I like this Kelly Dwyer despite him being on the Lebron side of the Kobe vs Lebron thing. He writes pretty good, casual analysis on his "Behind the Boxscore" sections and he says things how he sees them. But recently, there's been a really close game between Lakers and Heat, and well this time I feel he's just plain wrong. Here's the Link. First off, even as a Laker fan, I try to be as unbiased as possible. I just want to get that straight. But here's the thing that set me off as a Laker fan: Now to compare Kobe's Lakers to Allen's 76ers is an insult to my team. However, in this case it would turn to be the other way around. Iverson's 6ers had the luxary of defense. From Snow to Mutumbo they were pretty decent on that side of the court. However during overtime of this Miami v Laker game, Lakers had NO defense in this particular game. From Kobe to Odom, the only stop came after the Lakers turned the ball over. Then Kelly goes on to say that You got that first part right Kelly, but to honestly not attribute the loss to defense more than anything is just writing out of your [expletive]. Instead what I'd attribute this loss to was the much too obvious loss of energy from being in an away court. Maybe it was the Kobe: Allen comparison that set my Laker alarm on, but either way I still enjoying his write ups. Just not this one.
  22. If he would start slashing like he did *once* during that Miami game, he'd be well worth the money.
