Lakers: 1) Dwight Howard - Defense, defense, defense, putbacks, rebounds. It'll be fun to see such an athletic center in play. 2) Mike Brown - Now that he has an actual training camp and the strongest defensive tools he's had, I'm expecting a #1 defense. Anything less is a let down. I want to see what he can do. 3) A second unit!! I'm hoping they don't let down. They have a lot of potential. NBA: Andrew Bynum - He has something to prove. Golden State - I like watching their progress, and hopefully Bogut pans out. Expecting John Wall to break out. Linsanity to Asik all day A rise of a second contender in the East? East is almost looking boring again with the exception of MAYBE Boston or Chicago. The New York teams will be exciting, but I wouldn't say they're contenders.

Seeing as how uncharted 2 is my favorite narrative in a video game, I'm pretty hyped for this. I'm expecting a lot

Metta World Peace loses weight in offseason
Lemon replied to Warren2ThaG's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
Post all star game and pre elbow, mwp was playing like an all star. He contributed it to him recovering from injury so hopefully he can be great again this season. -

Black Steve Novak is the best case scenario for Meeks. Kapono is the worst case. Two completely different comparisons hah. Adding to the topic - The X-factor is obviously Wade. It doesn't matter if he comes back 80% or 100% if he doesn't defer to Lebron. People overlook how much of an impact Wade had as a roleplayer in the Finals. Defensively he was everywhere and offensively he finished what Lebron sets up. If we see that 2011 Finals mentality where Lebron handled the first 3quarters and Wade handled the 4th, Miami won't repeat.

LAL/PHI/DEN/ORL 4-way discussions
Lemon replied to NomarFachix's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
I can't stop thinking what all this means for the lakers. Steve Nash n Pau means a fluid offense all season. Dwight means a top defense. All season. Mwp and Kobe means high intensity all season. A decent 8 man rotation means not having to worry about the bench losing leads like all last season. I'm trying not to get my hopes up but every game looks to be a must watch. win or lose, laker fans have to enjoy this season. -
So glad you posted this. Rock the bells is this weekend and I wasn't looking forward to that other cudder

So....the Sixers get Andrew Bynum
Lemon replied to Need4Sheed's topic in Philadelphia 76ers Team Forum
Chandler actually plays bynum well. Also, Denver matches up well against him as well not only because of their front court butbecause they double on the catch. Doug Collins' pass first offense will be great for him -
I'm not too big a fan of one dimensional players. hopefully Mitch has his eyes on a Michael Cooper type swing man

Yeaaa and they haven't even gotten a piece of melo yet

Crazy, didn't want to post until it was official, but Mitch is a crazy good GM. He got Bynum for Howard, a decent 3rd string center, and an okay back up PG. Best thing about it is Dwight doesn't have to pretend to be the leader. He's deferring to Kobe and Nash. The trade doesn't make Lakers favorites though in my eyes. They still have to prove they can actually beat OKC and Miami. Funny thing though is that the only thing preventing that is chemistry and health.... and maybe Kobe. BTW, I'm pretty sure Yugo doesn't like it when anyone uses "we" when addressing their favorite team. -
Wow, magic messed up. They didn't even get rid of Hedo. At least they made three other teams look a lot better.

It's pretty crazy if you think about the last olympics and where you were or what you were doing at the time. Four years ago I was just entering college as an ignorant freshman. now I'm entering a whole different liminal phase. In four years I hope to be somewhere. Like now, I want to say that I've made strides in my life four years from now in the next olympics..

Collison-West Oj- Roddy Marion-Dahntay Dirk-Brand Kaman - Brand I'm sure I left out some other ppl, but that's a very deep team. It'll be more competitive than the nets for sure especially since the nets will need to improve their front court. And yeah I left out Vince Carter on purpose.

I felt pretty heated in the first half with all those calls and missed shots and allowEd shots. I guess the team felt it too. Now I can't wait for the semi finals. They'll come out for sure. It's been a while since I've seen a whole team show anguish for the other team in this way.

Lol! that melo shot is wet!!

Slam: 5 teams expected to make significant jumps
Lemon replied to The Regime's topic in General NBA Discussion
I agree, I expect less from Hornets and Kings. Kings don't have much leadership or coaching on that team. It lacks direction. As far as Hornets go, they've lost a lot of players. They're missing Okafor, Ariza, and Landry. Adding Davis won't add up more wins than those losses. I feel though that Eric Gordon will have a great season after being cut from the USA basketball team. He has a huge chip, and he'll play to his potential barring injuries. A team that I expect to make significant jumps is the Wizards. They've got a solid front court with Nene, Okafor, and Nene . They've got some good, young scorers in the back. With this roster, it has to be Wall's year to make a significant jump. -

What makes a person smart, or smarter than another?
Lemon replied to YugoRocketsFan's topic in Off-Topic Discussion Forum
My idea of a smart person is someone who can easily interpret ideas and apply them to real life. The smartest profession to me is engineering. Those people you are talking about can be annoying especially when you feel that they are just trying to sound smart. -
Just watched this thing and it was a great ending to the trilogy. Bane was a decent villain, but he wasn't going to live up to joker. No way. part of it was because joker was captivating for the whole movie. It didn't help that I couldn't hear what Bane was saying for most of the movie. I also thought the last movie was much less predictable, maybe because joker was so twisted. Miranda seemed like an obvious villain just because she was trusted way too easily. The ending was pretty cool. I didn't mind robin just because it provided Batman with closure. there's nothing after credits right?

Anyone who has had Ronny on their team can appreciate this signing.
