Can't stop wondering what's next for the Lakers so I wanted to write them. I was thinking of a few scenarios, and it seems that the Dwight Howard is taking the top priority. 1) Lakers get DH while taking a leaving a lot of contracts thus changing a lot of of the roster makeup. Not sure what Lakers' position is on taking Jason Richardson because of rumors, but I assume they're not interested in taking Hedo at all. 2) Lakers sign and trade for a good guard/forward, Brandon Rush. This is only held up because Dwight Howard may take pieces that would be used for this trade. Players in mind would be McRobers, Eyenga, and hopefully not MWP (would leave a hole in bench SF). 3) If Lakers don't get Rush, Lakers sign Webster off waivers. That is if no one else picks him up. I don't see why no one would want him though. Pietrus is also likely to be a back up option to Rush. 4) If none of the above, Lakers will have a Blake-Goudelock-Ebanks-Jamison-Hill bench. Which is not bad, but it's not awesome. It seems that Lakers are stuck with Steve Blake as the back up PG and can use Darius Morris as a third string. Blake doesn't seem as big as a problem as the Guard/forward rotation. I'm pretty curious as to how Lakers will solve it. What other scenarios would be likely? What am i missing?

Kobe: Gasol Will Be With Lakers As Long As I'm There
Lemon replied to ChosenOne's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
Hard to understand the message without the context, but I'm assuming he's just stating the obvious. It's way more obvious now than before that the front office is keeping Pau to play along with Kobe for as long as they are contending. There's no way he would say this back when Pau's presence as a Laker was in limbo. If anything, it reinforces Kobe's statement of retirement in two years. -
Jordan Hill To Re-Sign With Lakers
Lemon replied to The Regime's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
Solid, solid bench signings. Now all that's left is a guard/forward i.e. rush, pietrus, Webster. -
Those witness accounts are ridiculously wrenching. I'm just wondering what kind of person does this. He must have been under some heavy delusion. If he was going to shoot everyone why did he even need the tear gas and the gas mask? What in his mind tells him he needs to do all this...

Hearing the reaction from the movie makes me want to watch it so much sooner. Sounds like the ending is crazy and can be spoiled quickly.... So tempted to click on the spoiler thread ...

Berger Tweets on Board of Governors Meeting
Lemon replied to Built Ford Tough's topic in General NBA Discussion
The ads on the USA Jerseys are noticeable but not distracting. I'm okay with that. Replay is ok but they need to sHorten the review process. the cure to flopping is calling less fouls. The recent finals were called decently with the exception of a few touch fouls -
Report: Lakers To Sign Antawn Jamison
Lemon replied to ChosenOne's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
At this point of his career, Jamison is definitely a bench player. I'm happy that it's vet min, but I have a feeling that he's going to be just better than Troy Murphy. Obviously I hope I'm wrong. Id love to see it but rush is coming off of his best season. He won't come cheap. A good question though is who would start in a Nash offense: mwp or rush? -

Felton to Knicks close, Lin to Houston?
Lemon replied to Real Deal's topic in New York Knicks Team Forum
Houston is desperate for a PG, but if they don't get a great p&r center they're overpaying a lot. Knicks would make the right decision by not matching the offer since Lin isn't that useful w/o running a pick n roll. -
Orlando inclined to take best deal on the table now

Is the biggest reason Dwight won't agree to an extension with Lakers because of Shaq? -
UFC 148: Silva vs. Sonnen II
Lemon replied to Built Ford Tough's topic in MMA, Wrestling and Boxing Forum
Lol. That was pretty good. Sonnen messed up bad. -
Lol I would have loved to be at that draft. The boos at stern didn't let up at all. New Jersey was repd well.

Tbh I'm going to love seeing Odom back in a clippers Jersey and I hope he gets the minutes. this gives clippers tons of versatility in the front court but mo was such a big contributor off the bench. I view this as a side upgrade at best for the clips with the talent they already have up front. Nick young, Evans, and KMart had impressive showings in the post season. And you don't know what to expect with Odom right now.

KD may be everyone's second favorite player right now with how passionately he handled the finals. We all saw how strongly the finals affected him both on the court and off, and no one knows that his defense needs to improve more than him. He knows how effective a good post game can be, too. Now Durant is going into the best training camp in the world, Summer Olympics. Before the 2008 Olympics Lebron wasn't really known for his overall defense, and now he is deserving of high defensive accolades. Durant has a chance to learn from the best in the world. He's already one of the best shooters in the league, and I'm pretty interested how he'll improve on the rest of the game during this summer. Can Durant become the undisputed #2 in the league or even the competitive #1 within a year?
-
Congrats heat and their fans. I'm happy with how they won it, def not happy with done calls but no one will be. These finals were actually called recently except for a few parts. Ever since game six with Boston they've played the right way. . Definitely credit okc for their run. I thought sa would've represented the west better but Durant and westbrook didn't let down.

The thunder aren't getting much from anyone besides their big two. And that may be because of home court. But there's absolutely no reason for harden not to show up. He was the reason why I would put thunder over the heat but I've never expected this kind of harden that lacks so much confidence. Credit the Miami defense but harden is choking on his own beard. Also Lebron in the post is all the heat have ever needed to do. Even though his post game isn't great, it's versatile and threatening. If there's ever a season where he stops going to the post or defers to wade, it won't be a great season. This is probably the most valuable lesson the heat learned probably at the end if the Boston series
-
Harden is such a choke
-
Thunder aren't playing at their pace and it shows how uncomfortable they are. Heat are the opposite, but thunder can get themselves back. The refs will give them more calls this quarter and they have to take advantage
-
Harden had decent takes in the third, and I missed the 2nd game which as I look now was a good game by him. But while I've been watching, Harden hasn't been a strong factor. In the matchups of each of the big three, Bosh has had a much greater influence than Harden. Westbrook seemed scared of the moments this game, but he needs to stay aggressive despite how much I hate to see him shoot. He needs to put pressure on the defense. I didn't see that in the fourth.
-
Anyone else laughing or screaming every time thabo shoots? His defense makes up for it but that just says alot about how good his defense is. Also.... Harden needs to show up some time before the series ends
-
Good game. Both teams played real nice d but okc had absolutely no offense in the fourth. So disappointing in that but Durant had the right aggressiveness. West brook needs the same
