Anybody want to make $25 via pay pal writing a paper?
The Regime replied to fish7718's topic in Off-Topic Discussion Forum
^LOL, that has trouble written all over it. -
That was some KG shit.

LOL @ Jason Richardsons reaction after Kobe's bank shot. Hey Rich you didn't think you were going to keep him quiet all game, did you? Kobe's starting to feel it...
-
LOL broadcasters just prasied Jason Richardson for his shutdown defense on Kobe. But the truth is that Richardon isn't doing anything special, Kobe's just missing routine looks. Injury is making an impact on his game as expected, shots are falling flat.

Oh god, just stop giving Pau the ball already. Btw, he has 0 rebounds to this point. He shouldn't be getting bullied in the paint.
-
Make that 10 rebounds (6 offensive) along with 3 blocks. He's single handedly keeping us in the game, Orlando would have blown this game open had it not been for Drew.
-
Pau is having a tough time scoring over Ryan Anderson, what a joke. Bynum has just elevated his game to a whole new level, I'm loving this.

Damn, Miami is starting to roll.

Oklahoma City at Washington
The Regime replied to Real Deal's topic in Washington Wizards Team Forum
Thunder debut for Kendrick Perkins, he only played 20 minutes but grabbed a team high 9 rebounds. Also Ibaka has been on a shooting blocking fiesta, 15 blocks in the last two games. -
I was referring to the Ed Martin scandal in my initial post. Ed Martin was generous enough to lend C Webb the money, but C Webb threw him under the bus during the investigation if I remember correctly. That was pretty selfish of him for a couple reasons. For one, Michigan had to forfeit their their championship banners because Chris didn't cooperate with the investigation and didn't man up for his actions, and secondly Chris did unjust to Ed Martin who was so close to all the players (as Jalen stated near the end). We'll never know if Ed was loaning money to guys expecting for a huge payoff at the end, or whether he was genuinely helping those in need. But C Webb did him wrong. Now I'm not sure if that's exactly what happened because I watched the end on and off, but that's what I understood from it. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

The video doesn't prove shit, how do you know that the skinny kid was the bully? Are you just basing if off the title? And the last I checked its not really bullying if you fight back.
-
Well ever since Spo started running the ball through Bosh more Miami's offense has been a lot more efficient. And Bosh isn't settling as much anymore.
-
Huh? The only reason I was giving him his props was because you rarely ever see someone mess with a guy who's three times his size.
-
That's interesting because I've heard that from alot of women now. The power of being a celebrity. <_<

I tried to find some of the older ones but had no luck, you can watch them on youtube though.

Kobe is a game time decision so we'll see if he gives it a go. Bynum has played well since the all-star break, but this will be his ultimate test. We are going to need big games from our frontcourt and bench today. It's a winnable game even without Kobe.
-
I thought the fat guy was the bully at first. Props to the skinny guy for standing up to a dude 3 times his weight, he'll think twice next time though.

I liked it for the most part. Probably one of my favorites 30/30 documentaries along with Once Brothers. A few things on this documentary: 1) The director sure did his hardest to shed light on the whole Chris Webber controversy without portraying him as the bad guy. I thought all the interviews in defense of Webber were kind of overdone. The man made a mistake, didn't accept it, and instead used someone else as a scapegoat. That was pretty [expletive]ed up of C Webb. 2) I didn't think the team collectively was all that spectacular. Granted that it was a team of five freshmen, and they made it to the national championship twice, I still thought that C Webb was the dominant force on the team and the other four guys were primarily role players. I don't agree with the 'Fab Five' nickname. 3) Is Jalen Rose still friends with Chris Webber?

This is what I had to say about Utah State in another thread just in case you didn't see it. I really like St. Johns in the tournament this year. I'll probably be rooting for them and San Diego State. I wasn't aware that DJ Kennedy was out, but I still think that St. Johns uptempo style is going to give Gonzaga troubles. Dwight Hardy is just amazing, and he doesn't get nearly the coverage that guys like Kemba, Barnes, or Jimmer get, yet he is just as capable of dominating games offensively. I feel like St. John's is talented enough to make it to the Sweet 16.

Perkins calls Pau soft, Phil Jackson arrogant
The Regime replied to AboveLegit's topic in Oklahoma City Thunder Team Forum
He's soft, there is no denying it. But at the end of the day he's a two time champ and that's all that matters. -
They're really overrated if you ask me. People are choosing them as their dark horse pick but the fact of the matter is that they aren't as good as their record indicates. For starters the WAC is just terrible, I would know because I watched UNR play atleast 4-5 games this season. Utah State has one notable win on the season and that was against Saint Mary's. I'm not impressed. The Aggies really aren't battle tested, and haven't played a team the caliber of K State. Pullen and K State are starting to play some of the best of basketball of the season at the right time, so I personally wouldn't pick them in the upset.

Your Final Four/National Champion?
The Regime replied to ChosenOne's topic in General NCAA Discussion
Ohio State, San Diego State, Kansas, Pitt I'm picking the upset in the West. Nolan Smith will probably get his, but Duke often shoots themselves out of games with their inconsistent three point shooting. San Diego State is athletic, well coached, and does a good job on the glass. I just love them for some reason. Outside of that, the other 3 #1 seeds will make it to the Final Four. -
It looked really serious at first, and I honestly thought that it would sideline him for the rest of the season. But Kobe is a tough guy and he was able to play on it so I'm pretty confident he'll be back in a couple games.
