Lakers need to focus on adding some depth. Management needs to make an effort to surround the Big 4 with quality role players. For starters we could add a couple solid knock down shooters.

Dwight has expressed interest in playing with Steve Nash. I wonder if this changes anything in our chances with acquiring him.

[expletive] YES! Edit: Sportcenter just reported it.

The Cavs could have still signed and traded him if Lebron knew that he wanted out all along. It shouldn't have come down to free agency. Dwight's situation is annoying as [expletive] but atleast the Magic have an opportunity to get some talent in exchange.

Joe Johnson traded to the Brooklyn Nets

I just don't see it happening. I feel like the Lakers are satisfied with their core and aren't going to make any big moves. Maybe just sure up their bench a little. -

Dwight Howard is going to end up on some random ass team lol. Just watch. -
The situations are different. The Cavs got shafted because Lebron left via free agency, and the Cavs didn't get anything by s&t. If Dwight is traded for some talent, then he won't be as hated as Lebron. Plus Lebron was a superstar, Dwight is no where on the same level. Lebron will forever stay the biggest villain imo. No player of his caliber will pull such a stunt.

Blazers Offer Roy Hibbert Max Deal
The Regime replied to EastCoastNiner's topic in Portland Trail Blazers Team Forum
I would have to disagree with the finesse part. Hibbert is actually one of the few bigs in the league who plays like a traditional big. Solid back to the basket game, and he has a pretty hook. Aldridge is most effective facing up 10-12 feet from the basket, so I feel like they could compliment each other really well. I agree that they have holes at the wing, but when was the last time the Blazers had a good healthy center? It's been over a decade. The fact is that he's one of the best low post defenders in the league, it's really hard to pass that up. Lillard/ Smith Matthews/ EWill Batum/ Claver Aldridge/ Freeland Hibbert/ Leonard If Batum returns, that's atleast a 45 win team imo. They're young, athletic, long, and can score inside and out. -
4 allstars for the Giants, that's pretty sick. I still think Bumgarner or Vogelsong deserved a spot on the roster.

via Woj https://twitter.com/KCJHoop/status/219577320539820032 No way in hell do I see Chicago matching this. Just another example of a average player getting overpaid.

Nets clearly have the funds but that doesn't mean you hand out such a large contract. They would have been better off targeting a younger guy like Nicholas Batum.

Blazers Offer Roy Hibbert Max Deal

Please elaborate on how they aren't compatible? The way I see it, Portland would have one of the most dominant frontcourt duos in the NBA if this went through. -
He's a liability on defense, and we're better off spending our MLE elsewhere. I just don't see a pressing need to go after him.
