- We have a bunch of new players on the roster. At least 7 new if I recall correctly. Some of them are a huge improvement from what we had last year. (JJ, Teletovic, Watson) - Deron and GForce have only played 12 games together so saying that they were under .500 with both of them is pretty unfair.

You're living in a fantasy world. It takes a ridiculous amount of luck, excellent scouts, and an elite GM to follow the OKC or SA model. Tanking is easier said than done. The team will lose a ridiculous amount of revenue, the fans will turn their back on the team, and there is no guarantee that the team will actually get better. You might get lucky and turn into an elite team like OKC but more than likely the Magic will end up like the Bobcats, Kings, Bucks, etc.

And what if they tank and still don't get great picks in the lottery?.....

I don't see it happening. Dirk was never compared to Jordan, Magic, Kobe, etc. It is hard to imagine that Lebron is satisfied with one ring.

KD and Kobe have been playing extremely poor D so far in the Olympics. Kobe needs to step it up guarding Manu in the next game. Obviously the FTs and 3s weren't falling tonight so that didn't help but the defense today was the reason this game was close. Lithuania had a bunch of uncontested layups.

The biggest thing that Favors could learn is the ability to properly execute the pick and roll. If Malone can teach him how to roll correctly, when to pop for the elbow jumper, etc. Favors has the talent to become a solid player in the NBA. I don't think Malone will teach him how to be a back to the basket player tbh. Favors still needs to bulk up more if he wants to be a force down low imo.
