  1. i love it whenever Drew faces Amare. he always seems to make Amare his little [expletive]. that posterization today was sick
  2. it's a good way to start negotiating, driving the price that high;.. they can't be that stupid
  3. [expletive] David Akers Defense was weak Oh well, fun season. I never expected us to win so many games or the division, so I'm not too disappointed with the outcome. Whatever
  4. both phil and ron confirmed that the report was over exaggerated regardless ron sucks this year
  5. Miami: 47 ft Golden State: 16 ft Basically triple. This must be a record of some sort!
  6. 1. Dylan 2. Dylan 3. Dylan 4. Dylan 5. Dylan ok i finally did it
  7. Having Bynum back healthy is a huge step towards the right direction, as it showed tonight. His presence alone makes us so much better defensively. But obviously there are issues that we still have to address.
  8. Drew was the only one who played well tonight. When he gets back healthy, he'll give us another dimension, but he won't be enough if everyone keeps playing the way they are now. Gasol wasn't much of a factor, again. And Kobe once again had a terrible game (I can't remember the last time he played well, to be honest) and kept chucking up shots and ruining the flow of the offense. If his injury is really bothering him that much than he needs to sit out and get surgery or something. We're not getting HCA as it already is, we might as well get him healthy for the playoffs. Because for all the talk that came out of Kobe's mouth, he played like [expletive] today. And if this is honestly the best he can give us we have no shot. I thought that after back to back disappointments against the Bucks and the Heat that we would come out with fire and win tonight, but we ended up getting blown out. Again. Don't know what to make of it. We've made it to the Finals the last three years, there's no guarantee for a fourth trip in a row. Not even the Shaq/Kobe Lakers could pull that off. Hopefully this team puts it together though, way too much talent for them to be playing like this.
  9. Kobe's playing like [expletive] again 4-14 with 4 turnovers and he keeps chucking up shots. Stop it, seriously. We're lucky to be up by 2
  10. If you would've told me that the Eagles would win the NFC East, led by Michael Vick before the season started I would've laughed in your face. I honestly thought we were going to finish last in the division, third the highest. What an unexpected turn of events, for me at least. I'm anxious for the playoffs to start, this team has shown me this season that with the offense we have, with guys like Vick, Jackon, McCoy, and Maclin, that anything is possible and no lead is too large to overcome. I've never felt this way with any McNabb led Eagles team, not even the one with TO. Although this isn't really a knock against the duo, I just didn't witness them score 28 points in 8 minutes to win a game. * hopefully I didn't jinx the game today My only real concern is the defense, which I really hope won't hurt us too much in the postseason. I'm not sold on Patterson starting at CB, and basically forcing two rookies (Coleman and Chaney) with little to no experience to start. I'll pray that they prove me wrong. And am I the only one that has started to feel a little sorry for McNabb? He was our star QB and led the team for 11 years even though Reid surrounded him with basically garbage for most of his tenure here. It sucks to see how he has fallen off and how they are treating him in Washington. Although if he wasn't a Redskin I'd probably feel worse. Just wondering Phightins, before the season started I remember you saying Diesel was going to root for McNabb in Washington. Just wondering how that has played out lol
  11. The Kobe/Shaq Lakers did the same thing during the three peat years... It happens when you make it to the Finals and play into June the last three years straight. As for the team as a whole, obviously there are issues. Pau played terrible basketball, as did pretty much the whole team. But I expect them to step up when it counts. The Lakers were dominated by Cleveland in similar fashion last year on Christmas. The Lakers lost 7 of their last 11 games heading into the playoffs last year. The Thunder came out of nowhere and made LA look foolish in the first round. The same people proclaiming LA done and not championship material last year are probably the same people doing it now. Regular season means nothing when you've won 2 straight championships. Now I am not guaranteeing that LA pulls off a three peat, or that we are that much better than Miami/Boston/San Antonio. I just know that there is an extra gear that this team turns on when it actually matters, and they definitely will play much better when postseason starts. As for whether or not they are going to win the championship? Nobody can know that, but when the Lakers are playing their A game, they are right up top with the best in the league. That is basically all Lkr is trying state. And if you think this reasoning is BS then all you have to do is look back to last season and see the evidence to back up our claims.
  12. Heat dominated the game, props to them. Game means little to the Lakers, as already stated. The same people who put meaning into this game are probably the same people counting us out last year when Cleveland owned us on Christmas. That being said, Miami is going to be a forced to be reckoned with, especially when Mike Miller and UD get healthy. As for the Lakers, there are obviously issues that need to be addressed. Pau's play today was absolutely embarrassing. Hopefully Drew recovers quick because we definitely needed him out there tonight. And Ron Artest cannot make a layup to save his life.
  13. Lakers only have 1 win against a team above .500 so far this year. Just saying. So while it's true we're the defending champs, we've been less than stellar in the regular season so far. Although our record last year, at this time was 21-4, this year? 21-5. I don't put much emphasis on the regular season anymore, because it's obvious the effort is not there. And for a team that's made it all the way to the Finals 3 times out of the last 3 years it's understandable. I can only hope we come out with more energy than we did last night on Christmas so we don't completely embarrass ourselves. Looking at the Laker's track record on Christmas though, I'm not too optimistic. As for the Heat they are playing great basketball right now, and with Mike Miller back they will be even more dangerous. Yes it was enjoyable poking fun at their early season struggles, but I'm sure anybody with an ounce of intelligence knew they were gonna get it together sooner or later. I don't know if I'd consider the Heat the best team in the league, but they are certainly up there that's for sure. None of this matters anyway, they'll get a shot to prove themselves in the playoffs just like everybody else, when it matters.

  15. Nets should trade for Walton to complete the ultimate trio: Ego Ears, Vujabrick, Puke Sasha was 3-10 in his first game, 0-5 from 3. Same old Sasha. Funny how 2 of the 3 most hated Lakers ended up playing together for one of the worst teams in the league this year.

  17. I read Jerry ends up saving 9 million in luxury tax from this deal (more if you include the 1st rounder which we probably would've sold anyways), so financially this was a great move. This probably helps him recover some of the MLE money he spent this offseason for Steve Blake. Joe Smith isn't going to play much, but neither was Sasha so it's a wash. NJ now has Sasha and Farmar I wonder if we could dump Walton on their hands as well.
  18. Lakers have won the past 2 championships and made the Finals the last 3 years. I doubt the regular season brings much excitement out of them anymore, we'll just have to wait for the playoffs to start, like last year, for them to bring out their A game.
