WOW... Landry??? I don't know if I'd trade Landry for Martin straight up. Landry has been an absolute beast for them, he's a warrior. Kevin Martin is very one dimensional and he can never stay healthy. Maybe Houston knows what they're doing, but this is a very stupid trade in my opinion.

Deals won't happen because Buss can't afford to take on such salary. At least Sasha is expiring next year, I bet we can find some takers for him next trade deadline. lol Anyways, Kobe-Pau-Ron-Drew-LO, with the emergence of Shannon Brown. The talent is there on this squad, but our point guard position is an absolute joke. That will be the downfall of the this team, and everyone knows it. It sucks that we cannot get Hinrich (highly unlikely we'll get him), because the Cavs will be very tough to beat, and Mo will torch us. Guaransheed.

Amare is a big name. He stands out for casual fans, but there's a high risk factor involved, because his ego is so big. Not to mention I don't think he's a good fit for the team to begin with. Jamison would be the ideal fit for Cleveland, IMO. I would absolutely hate it if you guys got him for expirings.

Amare can be the man in Philly though. He can put up as many shots and score all the points he wants, without playing defense. No big pressure to win either. Seems like a win scenario for him. Going to Cleveland means sharing the ball with Lebron/Shaq/Mo, with the added pressure of actually playing defense to win a championship. Amare seems like the lazy type, so I guess he'd prefer the Philly scenario.

Like Brandon basically said, to get respect you have to earn it. What have the Cavs done to garner respect? Winning in the regular season? Been there done that. Many consider Cleveland to be the best team in the league so far, or amongst the top, so I don't know what the whining is all about. If you want your opponents to respect you, don't whine about it, get out there and get it. You think you'll gain respect dancing on the sidelines, acting like an idiot? Refusing to shake hands and walking away like a poor sport? You think you'll gain respect of others when you have someone like Shaq on the team, calling out Dwight, whining because he supposedly "took" his nickname? You don't gain respect acting like a 5 year old. Forget it. Cavs certainly won't garner any respect acting like clowns. The only other way to gain respect is to win it when it counts (like Boston), and they haven't done it yet. Cleveland is widely seen to be the best, or one of the best teams in the league this year. That is about all the "respect" they deserve, since their team obviously doesn't show any respect to their opponents.

I think the trade raised some eyebrows, but I doubt it causes a domino effect like the Gasol deal did. As for the Lakers, I'm almost positive the Hinrich deal won't happen. If the Lakers make a trade, it'll be one that comes out of nowhere. Whenever a Laker rumor is out about a potential trade, especially one like this, which has been out for this long, it NEVER happens. Maybe this time it'll be different, but I doubt it. This isn't how Mitch operates (see Ariza, Gasol, Brown/Morrison trades, and the numerous rumored deals that never went through)
