Good win by Philly. DJax is a beast, LeSean McCoy, besides the one fumble, had a fantastic game. Celek and Maclin played well too. Love the young weapons on this squad. Btw, Jay Cutler sucks.

Oklahoma City @ L.A. Lakers

Shannon Brown is a freaking highlight reel. Kobe with two amazing, out of this world plays tonight. He is a basketball god. -
There's no way Shannon Brown gets an offer that high. He'll get 3, 4 million max, and even then, if he continues to play the way he has, Jerry Buss will have no problem showing him the money. No team is going to be throwing near MLE money for Shannon Brown. As much as I like him, he hasn't really proven anything yet, and has basically bounced around the league his entire career. I'm not worried about Shannon leaving, he loves LA, and LA loves him. He already turned down a higher offer this summer from the Pacers to resign for less with us, so there's the proof. If it takes near MLE to sign him, then we might as well just use the entire MLE to sign a proven starting PG. The way I see it, Farmar is basically gone, he has no future with this squad. Fish will be back one year max around vet min money, which is a substantial discount from his 5 million this year. AMMO's huge deal will be gone, we have some flexibility to work with. And as Brandon already said, we didn't let Ariza go. He left on his own terms, and we replaced him with a better player. If someone overpays for Shannon, we can just let him walk and find a better PG elsewhere for MLE money.

Shannon Brown is coming back. Farmar, Fish, AMMO will be gone. Fish may return though, but only for vet's min. DJ and JP will either get min contracts or we look elsewhere. I'm guessing one stays and one leaves, not a big deal. Jerry Buss spends to keep a winner, so as long as we keep winning and contending, everything will be fine. Best owner in the league, period.

lol He is also 100Xs better looking than you. Don't get mad, admit it. If I were him I'd walk around the neighborhood shirtless every day. -
Totals for the year so far. Again, I know he was never a great FT shooter, but 25% is still surprising to me. Who is he, Shaq?
-
I know he's not the best free throw shooter out there, but so far he is 4-16 shooting a whopping 25%. What is up? Mechanics? Is he really THAT bad?

Eddie Jordan is a terrible coach. A lot of people knew the move wouldn't work out, some were willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. I knew this wasn't a good signing since day 1.

They need to make Steve Austin GM of Raw again... But yeah, cool that the Rock is coming back. But if it's only a one night thing, it won't keep me interested for long.

bump. just some thoughts... I've been hearing a lot of talk lately after the two losses about ending the Reid/McNabb era. Any opinions on McNabb, and do you fellow Eagle fans want him back next year at QB? I'm personally mixed on this issue. I like McNabb but he pisses me off to no end at times. He also isn't getting much younger and the majority of our core players are youngsters. So I don't really know where he fits into the picture. But on the other hand, just looking around, he is the most qualified QB to win us games NOW. I dunno what to think of Kolb or whatever college QBs in the draft this year. As for Reid, I've wanted him fired for years now and I hope he's gone next year, but I'm not getting my hopes up. Sucks about what happened to B-West. I love everything he's given us and I respect him tremendously, but after two concussions back to back, his career is at crossroads. He's getting up there in age and just cannot stay healthy. The concussions he's been suffering could affect him later on in life as well. It's sad to see how much he has declined, but I think it's safe to say he's not going to be in any future plans. Best of luck to him no matter what happens. So in the offseason Dawkins leaves (and is playing great football in Denver btw). McNabb/Reid/Westbrook all have question marks. It's sad to see an era of Eagles football winding to an end, but it's inevitable. Wish we could've won a Superbowl with these guys, including Reid even though I hate him now. Oh well, should be interesting to see how we close out the year and what happens in the offseason. Btw, Winston Justice has been a pleasant surprise. I'm loving the way he's playing this year. Future starter for years to come?

Who is to blame behind the Sixers' dismal start?
The Artesticle replied to Smitty's topic in Philadelphia 76ers Team Forum
Good point... I'd put the blame on Andre Miller and Joe Smith for winning all those meaningless games to kill the Sixers chances in the lotto. I'd also blame Stefanski for not trading Miller away last year for anything of value (when it was obvious to most he wouldn't be back) and losing him for absolutely nothing. -
Who is to blame behind the Sixers' dismal start?
The Artesticle replied to Smitty's topic in Philadelphia 76ers Team Forum
It all starts from the top. Ed Snider has never cared and will never care about the Sixers. It shows because each and every year he seems satisfied with a .500 record and maybe an appearance in the first round. It's hard to be a successful franchise if your owner couldn't give a rat's [expletive]. -

Watching this game just made me realize how lucky we are not to have Kwame Brown on our team. http://d.yimg.com/a/p/sp/getty/ae/fullj.a25a9b4677614af451d2cdfef6c5c8f8/a25a9b4677614af451d2cdfef6c5c8f8-getty-90040890ng028_det_lal.jpg lol http://d.yimg.com/a/p/sp/getty/61/fullj.075f41cfe46033dc028e51bf7820d3a8/075f41cfe46033dc028e51bf7820d3a8-getty-90040890ng018_det_lal.jpg kung fu ninja teaches [expletive]cat doll how to fight http://d.yimg.com/a/p/sp/getty/19/fullj.ae904f5d11ff9d33735547fc54206f99/ae904f5d11ff9d33735547fc54206f99-getty-90040890ng006_det_lal.jpg just a cool pic, Phil is intense -

Warriors actively trying to trade Ellis
The Artesticle replied to Dash's topic in Golden State Warriors Team Forum
What's wrong with Ellis? He's still very young and very talented. Wouldn't he be a good player to build around for the Warrior's future? I don't see the point of trading him for expirings and picks when he's still young. -
Anyone know if we're going to re-up the core any time soon? Rollins, Howard, Werth, and Lee are all due for new contracts soon.
