Putting my fandom of Boston aside, I would have said he'd sign in Boston if he doesn't sign with the Devils if you asked me at the beginning of the season. However, I'm not sure how much money he'll be looking for, and I really don't see him as a true game changer. Also, I'm not sure how the Rangers would be able to afford him either. I'll be conservative, and say he asks for about 6mil/year. How would the Rangers possibly fit him in? They'd have to move Dubinsky or Callahan, and more pieces. Then, you have McDonagh, Del Zotta, and Stepan becoming FA's soon, although they are RFA's. I'm trying, but I don't see how the Rangers can fit him in without moving some significant parts now and in the future. Would the Rangers really be willing to let one or two of their good defensemen go? I think that's what it would take..........

I highly doubt Parise leaves New Jersey now. They will have the money to keep him and they are now in the Stanley Cup Finals. If they didn't make the Stanley Cup Finals, I'd say there would have been a good chance for him to sign elsewhere, but I think the Devils success so far in the playoffs means he'll be staying in New Jersey.

I've never mentioned Mara in anything other than this particular case, and there's a very distinct reason that he was singled out here.
