  1. Where did I say he had no pure skill? I never said Bron wasn't a great player either. His game just doesn't have the staying power of Kevin Durant or any other player who relies on pure skill versus brute strength and speed. Eventually Bron will lose some of the the speed and won't have the skill to rely on because he doesn't spend time developing it. Sure Bron affects the game. The results are clear. But they won't last into the next decade when guys like Durant,Tyreke, and Roy are relying on skill versus being a brute.
  2. 1.Kobe 2.Chris Paul 3.Dwayne Wade 4.Deron Williams 5.Lebron 6.Pau Gasol 7.Dirk 8.Bosh 9.Kevin Durant 10.Brandon Roy
  3. Melo by far. I've never seen Melo act like a spoiled child and not congratulate someone after getting ran off the court. Melo doesn't show up his opponents and his pure skill is better than Bron's.
  4. Bron is the latest fad. Guys like Durant will be around a lot longer because of his pure skill.
  5. Bron is not 10x anyone. Durant's pure talent trumps Bron. Bron plays off 85% athleticism while Durant relies on developing his pure skill. Lebron has already peaked. You people are saying Bron is going to get better? Well tell me how. Are you guys telling me that in the future everytime Bron shoots he'll reverse damage to the ozone and resurrect the dead? How is he going to get better? His game is his game. Bron can't build on his game because he hasn't even mastered the basic things outside of dunking. Bron can't get easy buckets in the post Bron can't make his FT's Bron can't deny post position Bron can't defend his position Bron can't play with a post presence Bron can't play off the ball Before Bron sets on his mission to establish life on Mars he needs to work on those things above. Guys like Durant have already been putting in the groundwork to help them play for many years. Bron's game doesn't have staying power and you'll see it start to crop up once he loses some speed.
  6. You are right. But I gave that guy 3 times to keep attacking me before I said something aggressive back. All is well though man. I got you.
  7. OH MY SWEET GOODNESS. I HAVE BEEN OWNED. SOMEONE PLEASE SAVE ME.
  8. First, $300 jersey hardly set me back man. I saw it, I wanted it, I bought it. You can just drop that. If you find the list I made to be inaccurate then I don't know what else I can point out to you? I wouldn't expect a Wizards fan to know anything about the finer things of basketball. Has Lebron beaten you guys so bad that you have learned to love him. Has Lebron pull a "Mike Tyson" on you and f$$ked you until you learned love him? One more thing, chasing down players in transition to block a shot is not considered playing man defense.
  9. My clear lack of knowledge of the game? OK man. Done discussing with you. You have failed time and time again to debate with attacking. You are the one who lack knowledge. If you had it you would present it in an argument instead of these weak punches you keep trying to throw at me. The guy above is the one who called out Laker fans. Or did you miss that?
  10. I've spent a lot of time pointing things out to you but you just dismiss them. You continue to hang your hat on the distant possibility of Bron getting a rind or surpassing Kobe. I'm telling you that there is just as information to support Bron being washed up in 5 years as there is Bron being the best in the game in 5 years. In my opinion Kobe is 2x the player Bron is. Bron can't defend his man yet Bron can't deny post position Bron can't play off the ball Bron can't play with a post presence Bron can't score off the block Bron can't get easy pts. Bron can't hit FT's These are things that have been shown to ALL the world. Do I need to provide video and scouting information to back these things up or have you watched enough basketball to understand? I remember when Kobe was young and people were trashing Kobe for developing the fade-away and pull-up jumper so early in his career. That has paid endless dividends for Kobe because it has allowed Kobe to continue to be a dual threat once some of his legs left him. Bron is behind the 8-Ball in that department. There are at least 5 players in the league who are more SKILLED than Lebron. What Lebron does is nice and exciting but it doesn't translate to Championships. You brought up Bron getting close to a ring every year. Well there are a lot of players who get close. Go ask Reggie Miller or Karl Malone if getting close is any consolation in not winning.
  11. There is nothing to support what you are saying. That is just assumption and myth buddy. Bron hasn't shown me any indication that he can lead the NBA into the next decade. What's Bron going to do once he loses a step? He'll have a nervous breakdown because he can't have his way anymore. Bron has proven to be overly dependent on his physical tools while ignoring the finer parts of the game. That's why people are picking Durant. Durant at this time is more skilled than Bron. Durant just hasn't fully matured physically. You must have some type of deep hate for Laker fans. I just call it like it is.
  12. Let me help you out. You don't tell people they have "horrible logic". You need to be respectful and give a solid take. This is your 2nd time doing this in this thread. My logic is perfectly fine. If you can't see the obvious difference between Kobe and Lebron then maybe you should look harder. Kobe is on an entirely different level than Lebron and it all isn't just physical. Most of it is mental. Bron is bigger and faster than Kobe. But Kobe is smarter and more skilled. Like I said before, Lebron has no business in a commercial with Kobe as a rival or peer UNLESS Kobe and Lebron have played in a Finals or Playoffs against each other. There are no similarities between the two players. When and if Bron matures and maybe gets a ring we can discuss it. But since that will never happen you'll never be able to compare the players. I think most of you are assuming that Bron is destined to win a ring. HA HA! Never going to happen. Bron is a cancer and a primadonna. Bron can't play off the ball These two things are going to prevent Bron from ever being properly coached or sharing the spotlight with another star. That means he'll never win a ring. Durant,Melo,Dwight, and Wade all have a better chance of winning a ring before Lebron because they take the game seriously. I'm pretty hard on players and I've seen enough of them to know who succeeds and who doesn't. Bron is a train wreck. His media decline has already began. Once he loses his speed he'll become a tweener SF/PF with no post game and a weak jumper.
  13. You have a point but Shaq is Shaq. It never came off as offensive. The Yao thing only blew up because up Stern's globalization plans. It was still funny though. Bron's whole act comes off as childish. Maybe if Bron did it after he won a ring it would look different. Bron's mind should be on winning a championship. I should see fire in his eye and feel the passion of his game through my TV. But instead he has a team full of young players doing the river dance. Win something first. King this...King that? What is he the King of? The City of Cleveland? HAHAHAHA LOLLOLLOLLOLLOLLOL That's my point!
  14. True. Very true. As goofy as Shaq is he took the game seriously. He's had his moments but I can't remember Shaq showing up another team by dancing at the free throw line or doing the river dance on his bench. Yes Shaq has slapped Ostertag and dunked on the entire opposing team. Yes I know this. Shaq has made funny 'quotables" and cracked plenty of jokes. He even called the Kings the "Queens". But it was still in good taste. Kinda similar to Deion Sanders. Deion was a fool but but it was always in good taste.
  15. The only team that deserve to win a Championship are the Lakers. Everyone else is just playing for 2nd place.
  16. I despise his attitude. I was a fan and even had a $300 jersey until he turned into what he is now. Bron is not bigger than the game. I gave that jersey to a friend and left it alone. They has never been a player with the combination of Bron speed and power. But there have been plenty with his severe lack of maturity. Where have they all ended up?
  17. Real you can't compare the attitude of Rodman or a young Kobe to that of Bron's. Kobe's thing was he wanted to be successful and build his legacy. He had to learn to do it. Rodman never had a bad attitude. He was just very very very eccentric. I loved Rodman's attitude. Bron's attitude comes off like a baby who has been handed everything before he was ready and can't understand why he's failing. As far as Melo... Melo wins a ring last year if they beat the Lakers. Durant has work to do but you can tell that he has the right people in his corner working with his game and mind. I can't say the same for Bron as I can say for Durant.
  18. To me being an A-hole like Jordan is completely different than being perceived as a clown or immature kid like Lebron. Kobe talks big boy trash just like Jordan. Hell Gary Payton talked mega smack. If you do it in that nature it's fine. When you do it like Bron it looks immature. But you have to watch the game closely to see what is going on with Kobe/Jordan/Payton running their mouths. With Lebron all you have to do is watch him on the bench doing the damn river dance. There are young players on Bron's team who Bron is screwing up mentally. Even High School and Collegiate players look at Bron. There is a responsibility to uphold and Bron doesn't do it because the entire Cavs organization is scared to lose him. It starts with their lame duck coach. The entire city of Cleveland has sat back and let Bron run loose. A bigger city with a richer history would never put up with that. I am not saying in any fashion that Magic is the caliber of Jordan. What I am saying is that Magic was a five time champion before Jordan won his first and his first happened to be against Magic. Bron will never reach the heights that most of you expect. We've already seen the best of Bron. He has been ruined by the media and his Organization. He is a train wreck waiting to happen. Going to New York or another big city would be tragic to Bron. His best bet is to stay in Cleveland and be a big fish in a small pond.
  19. I don't recall anyone saying anything about Bron's will to win. It's his attitude and skillset. If Bron's attitude doesn't improve because he loses his speed Bron will end up being a SF/PF tweener. It wasn't about his supporting cast until the Spurs swept Bron. It wasn't about his supporting cast when he was dancing and horse playing through last season to get popped by Dwight. Stop making excuses for Bron. It's peoples constant crowning of Bron that sets him up for failure. Everyone sees the "physical talent". I see it. But until he gets his mind together you'll never see a ring.
  20. They really is no guarantee that the torch gets handed to Lebron. Personally, Melo and Durant have the attitudes and leadership that will put them in position to be handed the torch. Bron has been ruined. It's only a matter of time before Bron starts speaking in the 3rd person. It's getting to the point to where ESPN is having a hard time covering it up Bron's lack of leadership and extreme immature behavior. I've never seen an NBA legend behave like Bron. He will continue to destroy himself and be out the league in 6-7 years. Comparing Magic to Jordan is not a stretch at all. Magic was a 5 time Champion and multiple league MVP before Jordan ever won his first championship which happened to be against Magic. That made them rivals. Jordan beat Magic in a game that counted. Magic was already considered the best PG all-time. Also as far as the Olympics are concerned it was Kobe and Wade who deserved the hype. Bron's game didn't translate. Kobe/Wade commercials would be nice but you have got to capture the essence of Kobe's competitive nature. Kobe/Melo or Kobe/Durant would be more appropriate. You would never catch Kobe doing or saying half of the dumb crap Bron does. I think that is the reason that we've seen Kobe take a liking to Melo.
  21. It's a big deal because the commercials are not accurate. They are not amusing at all and so far from the truth that something has to be said. Kobe is the GOAT and should be treated accordingly. I don't recall seeing Michael Jordan doing commercials with Hersey Hawkins or Vinny Johnson. It's all about accuracy and reflecting the game the way it truly is. Bron isn't a peer of Kobe. So he shouldn't be in a commercial with Kobe in a fashion that depicts them as rivals or even peers. Like I said, TD or KG would be appropriate but they are with a different company. Melo would work but he doesn't sing or dance like Bron so I guess he isn't as marketable. Being a Laker fan puts me in a different perspective. To myself everything matters. That's the mindset of a champion. I'm pretty sure that Celtic fans wouldn't appreciate seeing KG doing commercials with Zach Randolph. I'm pretty sure Spur fans don't wanna see TD in a commercial with Anthony Randolph. There is just a way you do things and a way to not do them. I get that's it about money and marketing but it doesn't make it right. The classic Nike commercials with Jordan/Bird/Magic would look a lot different if they were Jordan/Isiah Rider/Glenn Robinson. You share my view and you may not. That's fine. Either discuss it or don't comment.
  22. The commercials were initially billed as the build up to the Finals. They didn't change to the friendship angle until Dwight confiscated Lebron's dancing shoes.
