  1. I think that they shouldn't expand it. Eventually the 97th and 98th best team is gonna whine about not getting in. Could you imagine the NFL just casually expanding the playoffs to 20 or 24 teams? The strong survive so if that school can't make the top 64 then screw it.
  2. Welcome, bro! This forum is probably one of the best i've been on. If I wasn't a basketball fan i'd probably still be here for the Gen Disc. Take care.
  3. This guy is quickly becoming one of my favorite players in the league. So humble, versatile, and so much upside. The man is a beast and I can only hope he stays out of trouble and becomes the best athlete and role model he can be. Oh, I can't wait to see him play in person. I'd fly out to OKC if I had to! Oh, good look on the video, MoeRoadKill
  4. I like the Rookies because I typically watch them from the high school level. Since ther is hardly any loyalty in sports anymore I watch them early to create my own. Its cool watching them grow in the league. Like the other day I was just in awe at Kobe's Laker feat passing West. I could remember when he rocked that Charlotte jersey. The vets have come and gone. I just want to see the rookies shut all the Jordan is the greatest talk.
  5. Very impressive starting lineups. I don't know which tandem to fear more, Kobe/Carmello or LeBron/Howard
  6. ^^No doubt. Only I wish I could do without a sports game for a few years at a time. I wish they would just charge us $100 or so for one title and give us the options to download yearly patches. Hell, maybe even throw in some superb off season mode.
  7. I could see Mia taking this one. Dem boys too young and active.
  8. Yea, brah thats crazy that Rose is in the top 5. The city of Chicago for ya!
  9. 5. Tomlinson, L 4. Polomalu, T 3. Brown, Ronnie 2. Rogers, Aaron 1. Jones, Kevin
  10. Best 5 Rappers Revisited: 5. Jay Z 4. Nas 3. 2Pac 2. Biggie 1. KRS-1
  11. Every year EA drops a "new" title by making a few "upgrades" and slapping the current year on the cover. The minute the new one comes out, the prior one drops significantly in price. Like yesterday, for example. I have little ones at home so I needed a break from the norm. Way too much Little Big Planet going on in my house. I went to my local Game Stop to find something for my football fix. I ended up grabbing NCAA '09 for $13 instead of NCAA '10 for $55. Now i'm thinkin' how bad can this be? Man, how about I spent hours on that "old" game last night. I played it like it was some brand new s*it that just came out. All i'm saying is I got suckered into this marketing ploy for years, but no more. I'm not 17 anymore and able to spend my life earnings on over priced sports titles. The bottom line is some people just wanna play some damn football, not get caught up in what's new and whats not. PS: For this same reason I couldn't keep up w/ the Madden franchise. Every time you turn around a new one is droppin!
  12. Billups, man! He really does epitomize the PG spot. He keeps that star studded cast in Denver in tact.
  13. The Kings would be a good move. So will the Nets.
  14. Ya, Big Dog. I can see em squeezing one more in. Trust me dude, I cannot stand the Pats...i'm a longtime Bills fan. I think the organization is good enough to put a team together even though they may lose key players. The market in the local area has been spoiled and I don't think the Boston metro area would appreciate being at the base of the NFL again. Only one more, though. Especially with the resurgence of division foes, Jets and Dolphins.
  15. Based on a one and done format: Lebron wins! More strength for James. Lebron is equally as effective in the paint. The more this becomes a perimeter game, however, it'll be Kobe. Yao wins! I can't believe I just typed that. While Dwight is stronger, at this position Yao would have the advantage on the perimeter. More polished and smoother game. If Yao allowed Dwight to score consecutively in a "make it-take it" game, it would be murder for Yao! KG wins! This may be the toughest matchup here. Of the three, this one would go down to the wire. No blowouts here. Kevin has the agility to turn this game in his favor. I see Duncan not playing perimeter defense in this game. The minute he does go out to guard Kevin, he's burned for a drive. Duncan tends to be very flat footed.
  16. What a shame. What happened to Amare becoming the next great big man?
  17. I only joined a few months ago so not enough time to create "great" memories. I did want to congratulate OTR on their level of maintenance throughout its growth. Thanks guys!
  18. Hey, I use Digg. I incorporate it into our marketing. It's also a great news source...gives you a great Twitter presence if you have no real niche.
  19. Right on! I hear ya. I really hope ownership can keep Dwight here and happy. In a few years I may want to retract my vote. I mean, at this rate Howard is going this guy might put southeastern united states on the map in terms of basketball. Still, though. This place was nothin' before O'Neal came. In that region, for sports all they really had was the AFL team and the occasional good bowl game.
  20. Ok, so even though they both have put in 3-4 yrs with the franchise it looks like the overall is leaning towards the Diesel. I still stand by my pick, Shaq, but wait. With the NBA being arguable bigger now in the 21st century, don't you think the Magic will profit more from this Howard guy. After all, its why owners want to opt in this league, right?
  21. I was just sitting back thinking today of how far our central Florida franchise has come. Since their inuagural season in '88(so I believe), the Orlando Magic has managed to make some brow raising picks. They've had their share of lame picks, as well. The battle begins tonight! I want to know who was the more impressive pick by the Orlando Magic. Also, please try not to leave a one worded response. Give us your pick and briefly state why you picked the guy. Now what I mean by impressive is which pick left the more deeper impression on the city and franchise. If you aren't familiar with the city of Orlando then just let us know how you feel. Thanks and I appreciate your support. BTW, I voted for Shaq. I like Dwight more as a player and media figure, but I can remember how the city welcomed him with anticipation. After Walt Disney, he made the world look at Orlando again.
