  1. The Roots Gangstarr ATCQ Pete Rock & CL Smooth De La Soul No other groups made me feel as good as these cats PERIOD!
  2. These three gentlemen are young entrepreneurs that embraces the fact that the league is just a corporation and they're the employees. The grunts that make the entire billion dollar operation run. They know that they want to financially set up their respective families for generations to come, but they want to leave a legacy and be mentioned in the same conversations as greats of decades ago. They're not "Bad Boys" in any context, they're the present day professional athletes.
  3. Why did #83 at :19 get up like he didn't get blended up? And that Earl Campbell chest bustin at 1:11 was NICCE!

  5. I thought that K.G. had the more impressive performance. But before you make assumptions, I want to say that I am far from some new school NBA fan that knows nothing about the golden era of the 1980-90's (and it's players). In short...Charles Barkley was, and still is tha man! He's one of my favorites of ALL TIME. But here's why I thought KG had the better performance: Now I remember that 1993 very well. Who wouldn't? Given the style of both the Sonics and Suns of that day it was a very up tempo game. Back and forth, back and forth. Neither team played well on defense and the main reason why Barkley's rebounding numbers looked so inflated is because they were. High tempo=More shot attempts. And the Suns pretty much sprinted back down the court to allow Barkley to snatch em all. Barkley also had a relatively easy game at the four position (facing Shawn Kemp). Kevin Garnett not only faced a tougher matchup in Chris Webber, but they also had a much more mobile Vlad Divac to be concerned with. The most compelling stat is that in that '04 game the T'Wolves held the Kings to 39% shooting the whole night. The Sonics managed to shoot over 50% on the '93 game. So on account of Barkley facing a much less talented matchup in Kemp, and a faster game, Garnett had the better performance. The T'Wolves forced Mike Bibby and the uptempo Kings to a slower, and more erratic game, and K.G. was the anchor of it all. The Barkley performance still was amazing. The NBA still uses his footage from that game in their marketing campaigns.
  6. Great article, dude. Informative and worthy of chuckles. As for that Cleveland tourism ad, did you make it? Because I can't wait to share it for ya.
  7. :o Man, that wasn't even right! I have officially been mentally scarred. I would've rather seen a job on a Monday morning than see that. Anyway... Is it me or did the interviewer look a little like a young Damon Wayons?
  8. Lebron James had the better rookie year of the two. Similar stats, yes, but Evans didn't have the pressure like LBJ had on him. The Cavs made a major improvement from the previous season and short from NBA experience I thought LBJ should've took league MVP that year.
  9. Yea, Burress gets out in roughly 3 weeks due to good behavior. He's eligible for a work release program. This was from an ESPN source that I heard early last week. I also think that the Giants should just worry about grooming Sinorice Moss and Manningham and just forget about Burress. The Bengals don't have room for that dude, either.
  10. Man, all uh you guys are brutal! The Dark Knight isn't no where near the greatest movie ever, BUT it was very VERY good. The score was amazing and the action rivals with the most of the comic book movies, if not better than all of em. You just gotta watch TDK with a great surround sound set up. You change your mind then.
  11. As a fan of the blocked shot I am going to say Oden. The Blazers have a really nice young roster and Greg Oden maybe the final piece so that all this talent doesn't go to waste. Besides, I really wanna see the Lakers catch hell with them in the Pacific. I'm tired of overpaid NBA busts and it's really time for Oden to shake this off. Hopefully he can get his game together and start an NBA rival with J. Noah, if not pay him back for the NCAA embarrassment.
  12. So glad to be able to get Spiller into practice now. Source
  13. 3. Howard 2. Kobe 1. Lebron I've said it before and I'll say it again...you can't knock LBJ's versatility. He's the best player in the league pound for pound. Forget championships and how people usually equate it to greatness. Yes, Kobe is great but even if he didn't have any rings (at his skill level) I would still place him in the top three, even to this day! I mean would Robert Horry make the top three in any of the past 6-8 years? He's a champion. Also, don't sleep on Dwight Howard's ability to make an offense think twice about going his way. He changes games and alters shots. Defense is highly slept on...Howard is the best at it...and heck, he'll still get you at least 18 pts each night.
  14. Not really important but its good to hear from Chuck Person in this day and age. I remember when this guy easily got you 18-20pts per night for the Pacers.
  15. I'm not an A-Rod or Yankee and I hate to say it but it still is a feat. Celebration or not.
  16. ...and whover else preparing to put out a full page ad to the city of Cleveland.
  17. Its's about marketing and promotion NOT talent. Been that way since the begining of time.
  18. What it's missing is a pic of him hanging from the rim!
  19. Point well taken and I agree with you. I too would rather have Boozer but think Amare is not only better, but the type of big man that most teams would want due to his ability to sprint back and forth. Boozer, though...oh boy...that man is solid. I like a half court (traditional) style of play and Boozer can back anybody down with force. It seems like the methodical, half court teams in the league have more success. With that said, i'd rather have Boozer. Besides, he's a Duke boy!!
  20. What a shame, man. Injuries sure can get the best of an athlete. Remember the hype back in '03 over this guy. He was supposed to be a 30-15-5 type center with at least three MVP trophies and two titles by now. -_- Yao Ming Calling it Quits?
  21. Thank you. I was about to go off on dude...calling BROY overrated. Must be nuts.
  22. Hometown or not, the right offer and a terrible enough season and Rose would be outta there!
  23. Why not? Everything in sports changes, and trends always sway. The pitchers will take the back seat after a while, just like they did transitioning from the 1980's to the 90's.
