  1. Its the exact opposite actually. He needs a guy like Calipari to be successful. Cousins' production is pretty remarkable considering he's only getting 28 MPG.
  2. Absolutely, but its the coach's job to have them playing at a high level all game long. Spo needs to step it up. We've seen these types of things happen way too much.
  3. This is why I have such a love/hate thing with Spo. How are you not constantly on this team to keep up the pressure when they've repeatedly shown that they stop caring once they have a big lead. You can't take your foot off the gas when you have a lead like that. Now they're sleepwalking through the game.
  4. Those are different than dudes getting blatantly hit on drives and on the offensive glass. As for the foul difference..Miami's been attacking the basket much more while the 3 ball has gotten Indy back into this game.
  5. So true what you just posted. LBJ and Mike Miller got absolutely hammered under the basket the play before that and no call whatsoever. The Wade gets fouled by Hibbert with the body and somehow he didn't get touched on that dunk attempt. All those were obvious fouls. As for the Foster play, usually contact like that, that happens above the shoulders is considered an offensive foul.
  6. When has a me-first point guard ever been great? Statistically? Maybe. But when you're talking about the whole package he simply not in the same category as Carmelo Anthony. He's arguably a top 5 player in the league today.
  7. How does the ref miss that call? Rush clearly tipped it out.
  8. Indiana fans cheering at Wade getting elbowed in the head...real classy folks up there. That should be a flagrant foul, without a doubt. Sucks for Indiana, because now Wade is gonna be pissed.
  9. 3 ball is keeping the Pacers in it right now.
  10. Lol, trust me I know how good Marbury was. But he's not even in the same league as Carmelo Anthony and that's not even debatable.
  11. And that's what happens when you let up.
  12. I just think missing out on a deal like that because you don't want to give up some regular NBA role players is a bad move and something that the previous regime would do.
  13. That was a legit full court alley oop...holy [expletive].
  14. OMFG..this is ridiculous right now.
  15. I think the lack of defense comes from not facing the same type of speed and athleticism in Europe like they do in the NBA. A lot of defenders today rely on their athleticism to make them good defenders, that not the case in Europe because they have inferior athletes in their leagues.
  16. So wait, are all these problems a result of him playing in the playoffs last season? If so..then I hate to say I told you so.
  17. NY was never a contender like their fans thought they were. The NY media made them think they were. Anyone who was looking from the outside knew he wasn't going there. Miami was never an option until we signed both Wade and Bosh and still had enough room to sign him. Miami blew up their roster because they knew they could re-sign Wade and then sign another star in Bosh. LBJ was the icing on the cake for us. The deals that we made left us in a much better position than NY's did, that IMO is undeniable. Is it really asking that much losing players that are a dime a dozen in today's NBA in order to get a premier player? We've seen in recent years that the whole build around the young core method doesn't exactly equal a championship. Look a the Lakers, Celtics and Heat. All 3 are elite teams and their teams weren't built around a young cores that they drafted and developed. The Spurs are the exception to that rule recently. That's a great deal for you guys. We've seen how stingy Denver has been with their demands in regards to Melo and if that's all they were asking for..then you have to make the deal.
  18. Well this is the same front office who put all their eggs into the LBJ basket even though it was known for a good year in advance that he wasn't going there. The fact is, they should've jumped at this deal when it was on the table. Your front office is falling in love with average players that you can find throughout the league and could possibly be blowing their chance at him. You have to jump on a deal like that when its on the table.
  19. We traded Beasley for 2nd's to make space for these guys: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_p-z7v-UCfEg/TQw1Rhf-byI/AAAAAAAAADA/K7qUgSc3BXc/s1600/miami-heat-big-3.jpeg I think we made it out ok in that deal. The Heat also had nothing to do with this thread until you 2 brought them into it. Fact is, the Knicks front office has been a joke for the past decade, and I don't think you guys can disagree with that.
  20. I like him a lot. After watching his highlights last year I thought he was a shoe-in for the top 10. Now he should be a top 5 player. IMO he'll play on the wing because of his athleticism. He needs to develop a more consistent jumper from what I've read but that can be done. He'll be one of the better international players to come over in a while if he indeed makes the jump.
