  2. He said it, but he wasn't reporting it as a deal that was on the table.
  3. I disagree. Calderon is a great compliment to Wade. He can hit the open 3, doesn't command the ball and will hit FT's. Anyone who comes here will become a better defender, its just how things are so he can improve defensively. I would to that trade in a heartbeat, although I still prefer Foye to anybody we can sign at the PG spot.
  4. Except he didn't say that. @RicBucher Twitter brevity raises its dangerous head once again. There is no trade between Mia + Tor. Sorry for any confusion/raised blood pressure.
  5. If we can end up with a roster somewhat like this opening night I'll be beyond happy: PG: Randy Foye/Carlos Arroyo SG: Wade/T-Mac SF: Q/Dorell PF: Bosh/Udonis C: Haywood/Anthony
  6. We were scheduled to meet with Raymond Felton Wednesday but I think we're pushing it back until after Wade announces his decision.
  7. LMAO this is a comment from Ira's blog: Tony says: July 6, 2010 at 1:59 pm Time: Thursday, July 8, 12:03 AM. Location: Henry Thomas’ office in Chicago, IL. Dwyane Wade looks over the final page of the contract, admiring the Bulls logo in the letterhead. He takes a deep breath, looks over to Henry Thomas, and prepares to sign the contract. Just as his pen touches the paper, the window behind him shatters. The culprit: a mouthpiece. The mouthpiece, embossed with a fiery basketball, wedges itself between pen and paper. Just as Wade and Thomas gather themselves, they notice a towering figure before them. Its Udonis Haslem. In one deft move, Udonis slings another mouthpiece at Henry Thomas, knocking him unconscious. Another figure silently floats into the room. Is it Magneto? No! It’s Pat Riley…and he’s wearing an Armani cape. He cocks his head down, imparting a cool, yet slightly annoyed gaze at Wade: “You’re coming with us, Dwyane.” Just as Wade begins to protest, Udonis knocks him across the jaw with an elbow: “Quit jiving us with your diva [expletive], fool!” Wade, smarting from the blow, begins a half-hearted plea, citing his children. Riley, now growing impatient, motions over to the conference room door: “I’m sorry that it’s come to this, Dwyane.” The door suddenly swings open, with Michael Beasley stumbling into the room. Mike takes a minute to gather himself, and scans the room with his bloodshot eyes. He then stumbles over to Wade and exhales a large cloud of smoke, rendering Wade unconscious. Pat Riley nods his head at Udonis: “Tie him up and throw him up into the burlap sack. Find out how Alonzo is doing with Lebron. Come, Michael. It’s time to pay Chris a visit.”
  8. Looks like we're talking to Dallas about a trade for Haywood. Jul 06, 2010 4:02 PM ESTBrendan Haywood is reportedly the subject of trade discussions between the Mavericks and Heat. Miami would send free-agent big man Jermaine O'Neal or Michael Beasley — or both - to acquire Haywood. The Heat could also be interested in Rodrigue Beaubois or J.J. Barea from Dallas. Read more: http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/67897/2 0100706/mavs_heat_discussing_haywood_beasley_trade /#ixzz0sw2C5Ous FWIW, I've also heard Caron Butler's name mentioned quite a bit as well.
  9. Also, I'm not sure why Toronto would want anything Cleveland has to offer. I'd think they would prefer Beasley, $$ and their pick back over Verejao's absurd contract or whatever other terrible contract Cleveland would offer them. Unless they're trying to screw over Miami and Chicago.
  10. Bosh has made it clear he doesn't want to play in Cleveland even before this. Also, If I'm LeBron I'm definitely signing a 3 year deal. Give Cleveland this last chance to get you some players with a pulse and if not gtfo once the deal is up. He's gonna get another max deal afterward so IMO that's the best move he can make rather than be stuck in a 6 year deal.
  11. Here's how I look at that rumor. We don't have enough to trade for both of those guys. IMO, we're gonna pair one of those guys with Bosh in the frontcourt.
  12. And so it begins: http://a1.twimg.com/profile_images/118089462/twitterball_normal.jpg @ wallacesports Heat having backburner S-&-T talks with Utah & Dallas - offering J. O'Neal and/or M. Beasley - targeting Boozer, Haywood 2 minutes ago via web
  13. Favors looks excellent going up against legit NBA players from Philly's squad.
  14. IMO, this current Atlanta squad has reached their ceiling. They're not going to be better than 3rd in the East. IMO, a Bosh/Wade tag team in Miami will be better than the Hawks and the Bulls, depending on what they do could be better as well.
  15. Chest and Tri today: 3 sets of bench: 135 lbs x10. 3 sets of incline: 95lbs x10 3 sets of flies: 90 lbs x 10 3 sets of cable pull down for triceps: 100 lbs x 10 3 sets of skull crushers and then 10 bench reps with the bar 3 sets of the dips machine: 140 lbs x 10 3 sets tricep extensions: 35, 35, 40 lbs x 10 3 sets of sit ups with a 25 lb weight x 15 3 sets of the crunches machine with 80 lbs of weight 15 reps
  16. Well in Miami I think it'll be either Haywood or JO who plays C. Then I think Q will be our SF and Felton running the point. Chalmers will come off the bench and then fill out the bench with low price veterans.
  17. From Ira: Also, Riles and the rest of his team are back in Miami meeting with each other now. They're gonna meet with Dwyane on Tuesday.
