Next great international Big man(Predicted to go number 4) This year
Flash replied to Years's topic in NBA Draft History
I understand that he's 19 but he's got a ton of flaws in his game that don't warrant comparisons to Dirk, Yao and Pau all in one lol. He's not a good rebounder, his jumper needs work and he's not a good defender. If he fills out and adds some weight then he might become a very good player. What else am I going to base my opinion on? I have better things to do with my life than watch Euroleague basketball so I use draft.net or Draftexpress to get info on guys coming into the league. I don't hate Euro's either. I just think its wrong to say this kid could be a combination of arguably the 3 greatest international players ever before he even plays a game. And with the Gallinari thing I stand by what I said. Beasley is more versatile that Gallinari and plays with Dwyane Wade so his shot attempts are limited because Wade commands the ball so much whereas the Knicks have nobody. -
Granger Prefers Wall To Turner, Cousins

I agree with everything you said but Turner is just as good. The only thing that puts Wall ahead for some teams is that he's got a higher ceiling than Turner does. -

That was in regards to the Yao comparison. Read the entire thread. -

Not sure why that's the case. Turner is probably the biggest sure thing in the entire draft and is making a case for number 1 IMO. -
Or you could stop being a homer lmao.

On a sidenote, this had to be Jim Lampley's worst boradcast ever. The constant Pacquiao slurping was horrid.
-
True, but what Clottey did was ridiculous. It was even tougher to watch because he actually could hurt Manny but he just chose not to throw and trust in his abilities. A guy like Mosely who isn't scared to trade blows would knock out Manny IMO. As for Floyd, I think he'd handle Pacquiao and win an easy decision tbh.

Like I said in the thread about him in the Memphis section. New York will get desperate once LeBron passes on them for Brooklyn or LA and sign either Gay or Joe Johnson to a max contract or one close it if not both of them.

Why is it not fair? These guys put up monster numbers wherever they are before the NBA and are projected to go high in the draft so they definitely are expected to live up to the expectations. And like I said, busts happen in the US too like Stevenson as you pointed out. The Jordan thing was really based on Stevenson's body type IMO. No one really thought the guy could be MJ and that has to be one of the worst comparisons ever. However, when you have people saying this kid is going to be a combination of Pau Gasol, Dirk Nowitzki and Yao Ming that's crossing the line. The guy isn't 7'5 and has average athleticism and weighs 10 pounds less than Udonis Haslem. I highly doubt he's as good a shooter as Dirk, he won't be able to play in the post as much as Gasol (who's got a good 30 pounds on this guy) and he is 7'0 not 7'5. Draft Express has him as the 12th pick and his comparison is Andrea Bargnani. Draft Express is much more reasonable than nbadraft.net so I'll take them any day. If in fact that's what they think his ceiling is then people shouldn't even try coming here comparing him to players like Pau, Dirk and Yao. And if you want to consider Gallinari efficient go right ahead. IMO he's nothing more than a 14 PPG scorer with limited ability in what he can do on the floor. -
You do realize that Pacquiao landed only like 27% of the punches he threw right? Punches thrown is great but if you're just hitting cloves it means nothing. This guy gave Pacquiao a welt under his eye and was snapping his head with uppercuts WHEN HE THREW. I agree there's no doubt Pacquiao won, but he really never hurt Clottey that much. I absolutely agree that Clottey fought a scared fight and against a guy like Pacquiao you can't fight scared.

The Sixers didn't choose not to score. Clottey chose not to throw punches. Your argument doesn't work there. Pacquiao clearly won but it wasn't as impressive a performance that would make me think he'd be able to beat Shane Mosely or Money.

I have a regular MacBook and it's awesome. Never had any problems whatsoever. I definitely want to upgrade to a Pro this summer though once my birthday runs around.

Paul Could Return In 7-10 Days
Flash replied to The Regime's topic in New Orleans Pelicans Team Forum
Why not just sit him the rest of the year? You guys aren't gonna make the playoffs so why risk further injury during meaningless games? -
The San Antonio game will be huge because they are without Parker IIRC and Wade usually plays very well against them from what I remember. The most important player for Miami down the stretch is gonna be Beasley. How he plays will determine where we end up in the playoffs IMO. Wade is always going to play well so I expect Beasley to step up big time.

I think Cousins is Kentucky's MVP. Wall is their best player but what Cousins does on the offensive glass and in terms of scoring is pretty remarkable for a freshman center like that. They aren't a one seed this year without him even if Orton was the starter.
-
I think Kentucky can win it all but something tells me they won't get past WVU although Cousins and Orton are big assets in that game.

Wade sweats like a monster lol

where do I find my demos?

Clottey hurt Pacquiao way more than Pacquiao hurt Clottey. Pacquiao just threw way more punches as Clottely barely threw anything, but when he did land, Clottey pounded Pacquiao.

Bump... so I just got this thing for my 2k10 on PS3...how the hell do I get to it?

I know the K-State/KU thing but idk why I feel like if K-State can get on a roll they can beat anyone in this tournament.

That team doesn't even reach the Finals IMO. They wouldn't have a bench. Have fun attempting to guard Dwight Howard and the Laker bigs. -
I honestly don't have many upsets in my bracket this year. Not sure why but the at-large lower-seed teams seem extremely weak this year.
