  1. LOL trash talking in January? You sound like a Cavs fan right now dude. You beat us after our second best player got pushed by Turkoglu and got injured. Congrats you're sooooooo much better than us.
  2. Miami having a ton of big name guys visiting as we speak including Seantrel Henderson who brought his family along which says a lot. I really think Miami has a shot at landing him as he's hung out with Ed Reed all weekend and Bryant McKinnie.
  3. How does this affect Chicago in the 2010 market? Seeing that they're the only team I'd see Dwyane leaving too.
  4. This starts a really important home and home against Milwaukee and if we can win both we might be able to regain that 5th seed.
  5. Great win tonight. Udonis really stepped up tonight and Wade didn't need to do anything crazy for us to win. Very solid game overall. The bench has been HUGE.
  6. No Beas and 2 early fouls for Skip means time for the effect early on. Hopefully the rest of the team doesn't sink too low while he's on the floor.
  7. No question he's a first ballot HOF'er. Probably one of the best success stories of all time too. Congratulations to him on such an amazing career.
  8. The Bush excuse is getting really old. How bout getting on Clinton & co. for the whole Fannie Mae debacle and lending mortgage loans to people who couldn't pay them back? Of course not because everything is Bush's fault according to the left.
  9. Derrick Favors would be the ideal choice for you guys assuming you don't get Wall.
  10. Poe, I was definitely skeptical about Tracy but once you said Tim Grover all my doubt was gone. Career loser? He's taken Washington to the playoffs on multiple occasions and gotten to the second round. He's also been an All Star multiple times as well. I wouldn't call that a loser by any stretch. Allen Iverson is a shoot first guy too and I'm sure the Heat front office is kicking themselves for not taking him. Gilbert at PG would be totally ok with me. Felton would be my choice there. Like I said before, this scenario is only if we strikeout on LeBron and Bosh which is very possible. I think we have a legit shot at Bosh though.
  11. Agree on JJ 100% he would be great here but we'd still have a serious hole at PG. The only thing that really worries me about T-Mac is his health. How many games will he be able to play per year?
  12. I can see him in NY but I think they're gonna go all out for LeBron and Bosh. I really do think this scenario could be an option for us though and I'd be totally fine with it.
  13. Marc Stein was saying that a buyout was the most likely scenario.
  14. Well it seems like Gilbert is probably going to have to accept that role because no one is going to bring him in to be the top dog IMO. Which is why if he does accept that role he can really be a threat. He also has the ability to play the 2 at times which is good for us.
  15. I see that argument and its definitely valid but I think Gilbert's perfect role would be as the second option to a Wade/LeBron type of player. I mean, we were seriously looking at Allen Iverson and right now I think we really could've used him considering our PG situation right now. A scorer at PG really wouldn't bother me at all. Especially one who won't cost us the max and give us more options in free agency.
  16. You'd honestly take T-Mac over Rudy Gay for us? JJ is playing his way towards a max contract so idk if we'd go after him. Camby completely skipped my mind. He's definitely a great fit here and I hope we draft either Alabi or Cousins along with either a PG or a wing player. I honestly wouldn't mind bringing in Gilbert though. I think this is one situation where he could really shine playing alongside Wade if he doesn't let his ego get in the way.
  17. Idk Musberger borders on unbearable when he's announcing a Big 10 game. Bobby Knight is great.
  18. MUSBERGER?!?!?! Jim Nantz is awesome, Greg Gumbel is really good as well. Albert and Harlan are awesome for NBA games. Personally, I think Herbie the best color guy in all of sports. And for people who follow ACC footbal games...Rick "Doc" Walker is by far my favorite color commentator of all time. He says the most hilarious things.
  19. Nope. 08 was their last chance to go and get one and they didn't do it. I really think Bellicheck has at most 3 years left in him. He doesn't seem like a guy who wants to hang around coaching much longer and they really lack at skill positions. Not to mention teams like Indy, Baltimore, Cincy and the Jets are all teams on the rise in the AFC. They are probably losing Vince Wilfork too.
  20. Gus Johnson's orgasms towards the end of a close game really irritate me.
  21. Assuming Gilbert gets bought out would it be a bad move for the Heat to bring him in? This is assuming LeBron doesn't come here and we choose not to pursue Bosh as he and Beasley play the same position. Before you completely write it off think about this. The Heat need immediate help at PG and need a legit second scorer besides Beasley. He also won't need a max deal which would allow us to add more depth. Maybe even make a run at Rudy Gay? Then we're left with our 2 first rounders with some very solid players available in the middle of that first round. Draft a center, maybe Soloman Alabi? Then draft a PG. Armon Johnson or Nevada or Sherron Collins would be my choice there even though we haven't had much luck with Kansas PG's recently. Again, this is assuming we have faith that Beasley can handle the full time PF duties next year and that we re-sign JO for the MLE which I think we should do. We'd be looking at: PG: Gilbert/Collins or Johnson SG: Wade/Dorell Wright SF: Rudy Gay/Quentin Richardson PF: Beasley/Haslem C: JO/Alabi/Anthony That's a strong team assuming Wade and Gil can play together and Beasley grows as a player on both ends of the floor.
  22. SMH @ him calling out the Supreme Court. Actually...SMH @ his presidency as a whole.
