The Mets are a joke so what's the problem with all these big name guys going there? You beat them every year regardless of who they sign to a ridiculous contract. The Yankees made noise this offseason for the first time in a while honestly but they were moves that were absolutely necessary. The Marlins choose to rebuild because they have the best farm system in the MLB. They pump out studs like nothing. Money obviously didn't buy their 2 titles. The Royals used to be one of the best franchises in baseball. The Rays made it to the World Series last year so idk what the problem is with them? A salary cap would be very bad for baseball as it would absolutely cause a strike from the players.

This signing gives them the option to let Benson fully heal. They are a playoff team and that defense looks as good as any in the league right now. Let Benson heal up and let LJ and Scott take the carries for now.

While you're right on the elite teams, there's always one team that comes and surprises everyone like the Marlins in 2003, White Sox in 05.

Some teams don't have a big enough market to spend big money on players and then make it all up with revenue. There already is a luxury tax in baseball and a salary cap would never work because the players association would shoot that down instantly. The way the game works is just fine. I think the biggest issue in baseball is the length of the game and getting more inner city kids involved in the game at a young age.

Sometimes they have to be greedy because you never know if your career could end in the third game of the season. Then you have to ask yourself, is he worth the complete max that Wade, LeBron and Bosh are going to get? Donnie Walsh isn't dumb. He'll give JJ a big offer but not the max. No team can offer 2 maxes, not even the Nets. He's an idiot for wanting out of Phoenix because he isn't going to be the same player without a dominant PG like Nash. Chicago fits him best because of Rose. No team will give Amare a max deal if they know what they are doing. As for Bosh, I think the only places he'd go outside of Toronto would be Miami, Dallas and New Jersey.

If you want a great recruiter then he definitely fits the criteria. I just think its going to be hard recruiting in C-USA though. Its tough to get kids who have offers from schools in the Pac 10, SEC, ACC etc do go to a C-USA school.

Honestly, why would anyone want to go to the Knicks? That place is a mess and its gonna take more than Joe Johnson to fix it. They can't afford both JJ and Amare either. If Amare should do anything he should stay in Phoenix or go to Chicago. JJ's best options are Chicago and Atlanta IMO.

Well actually I always thought Rubio was overrated as we had many discussions during the Olympics and leading up to the draft. Yes, I would've taken Jennings because I don't think Rubio is going to be that great. Obviously I couldn't watch his games but I've seen plenty of highlights of Jennings so don't even try. Rubio decided to pu$$y out and go back to Europe because God forbid he has to play with Minnesota. Brandon Jennings is on the fricken Bucks. THE BUCKS! What Manning has done in Indy on a team that usually has a middle of the road defense is amazing.

Look out for Chicago in terms of landing JJ next year. They should have enough space for him if they make a deal or 2 and he's exactly what they need. Not to mention playing with Derrick Rose is an enticing situation for anyone wing player.

I think it depends on how the Raptors do this season. Right now they are 5-5 and its still very early but there is no reason why they shouldn't finish 2nd in that division in front of Philly. If they struggle like they did last year then I think you'll see Bosh leave to Miami or New York.
