Hmm Melo and Wade together? That would be something to think about if Melo thinks he can win in Miami. Bring in Melo, start Beasley at the 4 and try and sign Jermaine for the MLE. Chalmers/Iverson? Wade/Cook Melo/Moon/Dorrell Beasley/Haslem Jermaine/Anthony That would be pretty amazing. Wade and Melo are very close and I think would be open to playing with each other. Still think we end up with Bosh though.

Sheed won't start though. Perkins is their center they aren't going to bench him. If Boston can make a move for Grant Hill then they'd be even scarier.

Patrick Beverly from Arkansas/Europe and Robert Dozier from Memphis. Both were solid picks IMO especially for where we drafted. As for free agency this summer I think we'll just lay low and see how Beasley and Chalmers develop as they progress into their sophomore seasons. I have a feeling Beasley is going to break out this year.

True that once Jordan won his titles those 2 dynasties were on the decline but after that he had to go up against some very good Knicks teams plus the West was very good and included some great teams including Seattle who won 64 games the year they played the Bulls IIRC. Those Utah teams were excellent teams that were very well coached under Sloan and won over 60 games in 96-97 and 97-98. Whereas the teams that Kobe played against while winning his rings Indiana won 55 games, Philly won 56, and NJ only won 52. The Magic had the highest win total of all at 59. So you had these Laker teams playing teams that would've been 3 seeds in the West whereas Jordan's Bulls teams played teams with similar records to their own.

Well, Allen Iverson might be the one guy who could do that. I thought this was the perfect scenario for Sheed. A veteran, no-nonsense squad whose main goal is winning a title. Plus, this team feels like they have a lot to prove now that Cleveland is getting all the media love. You bring Sheed in off the bench but he and Perkins will most likely play equal minutes. This is a type of situation that brings out the best in Rasheed as well. I've always thought he was one of the best big men in the league when motivated. If Boston stays healthy this year I think they win it all. This could be their last chance.

I'm scared of this team TBH. Their offense could explode at any time especially now with Foye and Miller. I predict a 5th seed for them because Atlanta is going to be pretty good too.

That's one game. He was out for a season and a half, that's a lot for any player. I guarantee Kobe loses too after missing that much time. As for the more with less, Kobe won with Shaq. You underestimate just how dominant a force Shaq was at that time of the 3-peat. The only times Kobe didn't have much around him was from the time Shaq left until Gasol came. Jordan made the playoffs every single season in Chicago. Doesn't that tell you something? Kobe also never had to play against the Celtics of the 80's or the Bad Boys. He also beat 2 great Utah teams with a pair of HOF'ers on their squad. The one time Kobe played against a truly great team they got mutilated.

You wanna talk about having a dominant big man? I'd say Shaq and Pau Gasol are two very good big men to have on your side so lets not pretend Kobe won these ships without good bigs on his teams. Also, Jordan came back midway through the 94-95 season and got that team from being a .500 squad to reaching the second round. How much more can you expect from a guy who spent a year and a half away from the game? The mere fact that you would expect that from Jordan tells me that he is the GOAT because that pressure would never fall on anyone, not even Kobe. I think that if the Bulls would've had Jordan for that entire season they win the title. I just don't understand how you can say Kobe is better than Michael. As complete a player as Kobe is he still can't touch MJ in my opinion.

Kobe against the Suns is true but the Lakers still managed an epic choke job and lost in 5 the following season. Let's also not forget, when Jordan was losing playoff series it was to the Celtics teams of the 80's and to the Bad Boys while carrying those Bulls teams by himself. Those 2 teams where among the best in NBA history. Their stats in the playoffs aren't even comparable either. Jordan wins by a landslide. The skill argument doesn't really make any sense either. A lot of guys are more "skilled". If Kobe's more skilled then so is Chris Paul. And if Jordan had the Shaq that Kobe had then they Bulls might have gone 82-0 instead of 72-10.

So then what's Kobe? If I'm not mistaken Jordan averaged more career assists than Kobe. Also, didn't Kobe make a video trashing Andrew Bynum and asking for him to be traded? The expansion teams isn't a big factor because they won their titles against teams in the West. If anything, Kobe's titles are less impressive because of how weak the East was at that time.

So we're just going to discount Jordan winning DPOY and being All Defensive First Team 88-93 and 96-98?

Ok but what great player doesn't? Kobe's had tremendous supporting casts throughout all 4 of his title runs. J ordan is still the GOAT just lock the thread already.
