Oh I know how good Rio is. He's made tremendous strides after an awful sophomore season. He can definitely be a starting point guard in this league but let's be honest. Chauncey Billups is a better player than him. Also imagine what Rio can learn from playing behind a guy like Billups as well. I think its a great fit.

Me thinks Jermaine O'Neal is headed this way after the West trade. Us or the Lakers. If we bring in those 2 you have to think Eddie House and one of Juwan Howard/Pittman/Curry may be gone.

If you sign Nene and Crawford..a Brook for Smith flip would be ridiculous and would make the Nets a contender IMO. Assuming you can pull that off with the cap space you guys have.

I just don't see it making them all that better to be honest. They need depth in their backcourt behind Ray and Pierce. As those guys get older the less and less they'll be able to carry that scoring load. I'd have been more worried had they gone out and got a true defensive C like Dalembert or if they end up getting Rip.

Honestly I don't know how he isn't a Net already. That deal is by far the best out there. They're willing to take on Hedo's contract and everything.

They don't need another power forward though it makes no sense to me. They just traded for Brandon Bass. They need a center unless they feel like KG can last all season playing there.

Jermaine, if sent to NO will likely ask for a buyout and try and sign with Miami.
