  1. Lol too bad he already retired in 2007. http://www.thisis-matt.co.uk/images/Fail%20Pictures/Cheese%20fail.jpg
  2. I dont want him gone ....? I just want another point guard so we can effectively reduce Fishers minutes during the regular season. I would still want Fish out there in the last few minutes of any crunch time game.
  3. This is what I think - Farmar/Brown/Ammo/Powell leave. - Go after Steve Blake - Sign Tmac for vets min - Sign Bell for vets min Blake/Fisher/Sasha Kobe/Bell Artest/Tmac/Walton Gasol/Odom/ Bynum/Mbenga
  4. I disagree all we need him to do is be a spot up shooter, hes a lock for 40 % from 3 and that would be huge for us. And it doesnt hurt to have another great defensive player. Hes tough, hungry for a ring, plays great D, shoots the ball well. If we can get him for the vets min, its an easy decision. We usually have Bynum in with the 2nd unit anyway, it would be nice to be able to throw it down low to him and not have a bonehead guard like Farmar or Brown chuck dumb shots, instead a guy like Bell can spread the floor and make 3's, while also keeping a good defensive unit in tact.
  5. If Bynum stays healthy, Kobe fixes his fingers, we get a solid bench player or two in free agency for the vets min, Artest another year in the triangle. We could be unstoppable next year! Then again, I say that every year. I really dont think he would leave the chance of missing another 3 peat. Plus if we win it without him it wont look too good for his legacy, the argument will continue to be made that he wins cause of his great players. But I actually think he might step down cause hes just exhausted and wants to ride off into the sunset with all his rings, hes already 2 ahead of Red. I just think it would be better to retire on a 3 peat and dont leave any unfinished business. In any case, I think Shaw should take over if Phil leaves. I hope we stay in house and keep the same system that everyone knows and the system that this team was built for and is prfect for. Plus with Kobe and Fish I dont think you really need a strong presence at the head coach.
  6. Phil will go 1 more year. He only wins championships in 3's. Once he gets his 4th 3peat he will be done.
  7. I started a new team. Focused mainly on defense. Lakers : PG - Vujacic SG - Kobe SF - Artest PF - Odom C - Yao Bench : Anthony Parker, Flip Murray, Wes Matthews, Peja, Brad Miller, Haywood.
  8. Lol @ Ron starting the Boston sucks chant and the victory cigar.
  9. I would never go to those parades. Its so crowded, parking is a [expletive], you get to see the float for like 2 seconds. The only thing worth going to is the rally at the end, but they arent doing that this year.
  10. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zyjOy7fRzs0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ly3PtAtvgnc you got "ANYTHING IS POSSIBLEEEE", vs "FIRST OFF, I WANNA GIVE A SHOUT OUT TO MY HOOD, AND THANK MY PSYCHIATRIST."
  11. They are totally setting up for a sequel or a brand new trilogy or something. Also I almost cried too when I heard that song again, ahh the memories.
  12. Omg thats pretty cool. :glasses:
  13. Mmm yeah, look at all that spacing in MJ highlights. No zone defense and one on one isolation ftw.
  14. Just seemed to me Boston was shooting more fade aways and jumpers (Pierce in particular) in the 4th while the Lakers threw it into the post and pounded them inside. It didnt look to me like there were any fouls called that werent fouls, such as KG hitting Gasol on the arm, Allen fouling Kobe for 3. I dont think there were any plays for Boston that were called incorrectly, Lakers did a good job of playing aggressive D but not fouling them. Ive read that some people think Pierce was fouled on the drive when he was blocked by Pau, thats nonsense Artest gave him room to drive but Pierce was just blocked when he got to the rim. And yeah they did call it differently in the 2nd half it seemed like, and for good reason. Boston came out of the gates hacking like crazy in a desperate attempt to win without their center. When Sheed tripped Kobe in the 1st with no call I had a feeling it would be a long night, thankfully they started calling Boston for their obvious hacks. There were as many missed foul calls for both sides if any. I keep reading people complain about the free throw differential but nobody seemed to care in game 2 of the 08 finals when it was 38-10 (the infamous Leon Powe game). The Lakers were more aggressive.
  15. Would you mind telling me what was wrong with it?
  16. I think he just wanted to tell them both teams played hard. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BrOH-KHxXg0
  17. Best officiated game of the series by far imo.
  18. Lol who would have thought it would be Artest carrying us to the championship in game 7. Thank you Mitch for signing him.
  19. Greatest laker of all time imo. And now number 2 behind MJ. He will stay there unless he wins 7 rings imo. 1. MJ 2. Kobe 3. Magic
  20. WOOOOOOOOOOO 2010 nba champs!!!! YOU CANT BEAT LA.
  21. Odom cause hes tougher, better in the paint, better rebounder, and can facilitate. I mean do you really think KG would go OFF on Odom like he did on Jamison?
