Billingsley has fallen off the planet it seems. I saw Padilla a lot in the AL West, he got rocked especially every time he played the Angels. I dont know how the Dodgers pitching is going to pitch to that Phillies lineup. Still, you never know. The Dodgers big strength is their bullpen. If they can keep it close for the first 7 innings, they have a big advantage against the Phillies. That was their recipe of success against the Cardinals two aces.

Ha, Angels won! Told you Lackey was a true ace, a postseason ace. 7.1 shutout innings, 4 k's, 4 hits. I know Lester was hurt by that 3 run home run, but we were all over him tonight. Rivera and Aybar also had doubles against him, and we loaded the bases against him, Abreu walked 3 times against him (4 walks total!!). Bostons lineup really not scary anymore, their patient but really dont hit for average and probably wont hit many homers against us especially in our park. I cant believe we shut them out, I expected great pitching but not that great. They really had no solid hits tonight, I dont think they ever reached the gaps or the wall against Lackey. Goin to game 2 tomorrow. Weaver has dominated at home this year, Beckett is terrible at Angel Stadium the last 2 years. I expect another win.

Bad calls on both sides. Fist base umpire is pretty bad, as well as home plate. Sox got a catchers interference call that put runners on 1st and 2nd when inning should have been over, replay clearly showed no interference. These umps are terrible.
