You are also forgetting John Lackeys resume. Also a terrific postseason pitcher. A 2.63 ERA in 2 starts last year against the Red Sox. A 3.39 career ERA in postseason play. Pitched and won game 7 of the world series as a ROOKIE. Have fun with him in game 1. Beckett aint [expletive] against the Angels. Last year we tore him up in game 3. And you can check the numbers, of his last 3-4 starts at Angel stadium we rocked him pretty bad, and our offense is 10x better then it used to be. Ever since we had a patient approach Beckett has had no shot against us. Not to mention his back spasms and whatever the hell else is wrong with him in the past month as he has been sucking. Weaver can handle the Sox, hes 1-0 with a .66 ERA against them this year in 13 innings pitched. Not to mention, hes 9-3 at home with a 2.90 ERA this year. And he has a career 2.57 postseason ERA, and picked up a win against the Sox last year in Boston out of the pen. Kazmir has a 3.27 ERA in the second half, and an ERA UNDER 2 since joining the Angels. And he dominates the Sox especially at Fenway. Hes 2-0 against them in this year alone. And his opponent is Clay Bucholz? Seriously? I know hes a good young pitcher, but hes not going to get the job done. Saunders/Santana/Dice-K all battled injurys this year, all were all stars last year. Either way, the Angels 5th starter will go to the pen and is far better then any 5th starter the Sox have. Lackey/Weaver/Kazmir/Saunders/Santana, that is the deepest rotation in the league by far. Now stop being a homer and speak the truth.

Red Sox have a better bullpen, Angels starters are better. But once you add Santana to our pen its pretty much even. Angels offense is much better, 2nd in the Majors in Runs scored, and thats with Torii and Vlad missing a large chunk of the season. We were 2nd in the league in stolen bases, so we will run on the Sox weak catchers. But whatever, wel see what happens tomorrow.

Not so fast. All of their starting pitchers are pretty much above average, so they wont dominate in that regard. Their hitting is pretty good even without Morenau, they have a ton of speed guys as well. Look out for Mauer, Kubel, Cuddyer, but especially Mauer

Dont see the Rockies winning this, would be cool though. No De la Rosa, that was pretty much their only shot. Plus they do not match up well vs leftys, much less guys like Hamels and Lee.
