Hmm ok. Im gonna get some MS points soon. So is there anything exciting in this combine thing other then scrimmages, do you get to play against like some NBA players or anything. Also is there anyway to force yourself out of a situation. Can you tell a team you dont want to be drafted by them, I want to pull a Kobe and make my way out to LA

Angel stadium is so nice.
-
How do some people already have a 99 rating lol. How does a rookie in draft combine go into the NBA already as the best. Look at the leaderboards. This career mode game doesnt seem realistic.

Im dling the trial game not the actual thing, im not sure the difference.

Better team this decade: Spurs vs Lakers?
kingfish replied to Revis Island's topic in General NBA Discussion
Yes, the Spurs never won a back to back title. The Lakers had a 3-peat, they dominated the league for 3 consecutive years, how rare is that? Then they reached the top again and won another title in the same decade with a brand new different team, that is even more rare. Do you know what a decade is? '99 doesnt count, that was in the 90's. Im talking about the 00's, the decade isnt even over yet, so you can only judge by whats happened so far, and so far the Lakers have been the mot dominant team in this decade. Even if you want to count '99, Lakers are still the best team of the last 10 years. They missed the playoffs once, big deal, they were the 6th seed until Kobe and Odom got hurt and missed significant time. And missing the playoffs landed us Bynum. Its harder to win 3 straight then to do it every other year or every 2 years. The Bulls were the team of the 90's, the Lakers are the team of the 00's, especially because we are the favorites to win again in '10 to finish the decade. Regardless, we have the most titles of this decade. -

Better team this decade: Spurs vs Lakers?
kingfish replied to Revis Island's topic in General NBA Discussion
Spurs never even won a back to back. Its the Lakers, because they also made more Finals appearances, and won more titles this decade. Not to mention, beat the Spurs nearly every single time they met up in the postseason. -
Have at it.

Why the hostility? Shut the [expletive] up if you cant add anything positive to the thread. Excuse me for posting an article, next time ill think twice before I post a list with Kobe number 1 if it really makes you upset.

Im so confused. What is this? Like 2k10 actual gameplay but as a career mode? Is it fully a game or just a demo? How are you people playing so much if its just a demo?
-
When does the actual game demo come out.

Lol of course its Cleveland. Your argument is that the Indians were relevant like 15 years ago...? Then your next argument is that the Browns have loyal fans. That doesnt make it a good sports city. The Cavs are also precisely part of the problem in Cleveland. Their constant let downs and epic choke jobs is what devastates Cleveland so much. Lebron is all they have left, and he might even leave after this year. Before Lebron got there the Cavs were a joke and didnt even have fan support. And I hate to inform you but regular season wins are meaningless unless it ends in a championship, so im not sure why you even used that as an argument. The Indians traded all of their good players. They traded CC when he was good, traded Victor Martinez, then traded their Cy young pitcher in Cliff Lee. Whos next? That franchise looks terrible right now. Cleveland hasnt won a sports championship since the early 60's, and before that was the late 40's. What does that city have to hang its hat on sports wise? Almost all current Cleveland fans, including you, have never even witnessed a championship in Cleveland. Tampa Bay recently just got to a world series, and the Bucs won a Super Bowl title in 02. Tampa Bay is not even close to as bad as Cleveland. Minnessota is still a little better then Cleveland, although both citys lack titles. The Wolves are improving, the Vikings are a real contender, and the Twins have been in contention for years and have 2 superstars.

Bolt shows off DURING the race when he pretty much clinches it. How can he not be the most dominant out of the three.

The Lakers are the champs. -
If you did take Teixeira under the options that I posted, then yes that would be a dumb decision although I didnt say anyone was dumb. Just thought id see if anyone has ever heard of Kendry Morales, and to be honest nobody probably has until they looked him up on google after they opened this thread.

Its gonna happen.

The baseball forum is not bursting with activity, one thread that you dont like isnt going to kill anyone. Im not trying to get anyone on anyones dick, theres hardly any Angels discussion around here and nobody ever gives them any credit so excuse me for bringing some attention to the west coast. And are you implying the Angels are a small market team? If so, that is not the case. And we can definitely retain any player we want, Teixeira walked because we had someone younger, better, and cheaper as his replacement at first base. Keep in mind, Teixeira puts up worse stats in the launching pad that is Yankee Stadium. Even if contracts were not an issue, Morales is still probably the better choice. Especially because his defense at first has improved tremendously and he now has a respectable glove.

Thome at 1B? Doesnt sound good
-
All things considered. Right now, with their current contracts and both players healthy, who would you rather have on your team. Lets see how smart some people are.
