  1. With Dirk at center if they face a healthy Spurs, Lakers, and maybe even Blazers, in the 1st round they will get knocked out for sure. Their interior defense was bad before, it might be even worse now, especially with an offensive minded coach. Their perimeter defense is good with Howard, Marion, and Kidd. But in the playoffs its post defense that matters.
  2. Lol Dirk at Center? Thats a first round exit buddy.
  3. Yeah because thats completely relevant to basketball. http://i31.tinypic.com/jhc32q.jpg
  4. Odom for JHO and then sign Joe Smith and were alright.
  5. Kobe has more talent in his left nut then the entire 76ers combined.
  6. You never know what team will make the WS though, so its unfair to say that 95 % will not participate in it, even though its technically true. I think people make too big a deal out of it. The team with the better record doesnt neccesarily deserve home field, they play in 2 different leagues and dont have the same opponents. The only way you find out which league is better is the all star game, and let the best players decide what league is tougher to play in, and clearly its the AL. Not to mention the interleague record the AL has. Would you be satisfied if the league with a better interleague record gets home field? Thats the only other option. I love the rule, it makes the all star game so much more fun and exciting, and it actually makes sense. It would be a shame if the Dodgers made the world series and got home field cause of their record, they play in an awful division and the NL is pretty bad in general and has a lot of bad teams.
  7. The only thing that sucks about 2k9 is the online play, its probably the worst online play in the history of video games, not because of the gameplay because of 2ks servers or whatever. And I dont understand why video games didnt have these warmups a long time ago.
  8. MLB. Why do people NOT like the it counts thing? I LOVE it, the game actually matters and the players actually try. Watching guys dunk and stuff is fun, but I get enough of that in the dunk contest. I want to see the all stars playing like all stars, last nights all star game was excellent you had great defensive plays and great at bats.
  9. I figured it out. Better closers for the AL, Papelbon Nathan and Rivera to shut the door. NL has nobody, K-Rod is off and on.
  10. Yeah this is a good thread/question. Stop criticizing ECN man, if u dont like it just get out. Ill have to make a list before I make my choice, too hard to tell off the top of my head AL Teix Youk Pena Cabrera Morneau Branyan Konerko Morales NL Pujols AGon Prince Howard Reynolds Helton Berkman Lee Loney Tough choice, overall the NL has a deeper list of good first basemen. But, if you had to randomly select one of the first basemen from either league on your team id take the AL. Their first basemen are great home run hitters but also can hit for good averages and not strike out, where as in the NL you have guys like Prince, Gonzalez, and Howard and Reynolds who set strike out records. AL has better first basemen. With 3 world series champions on the AL side, and only 2 on the NL side. Not to mention defense, which the AL takes that one easily at a very important position in first base.
  11. AL wins. Wow some baseball fans u guys are, and this one counts.
  12. Wow reallllly good game so far, been some nice plays, not too much offense though. Been exciting the whole way though, and very quick.
  13. YESSS LONGORIA IS INJURED, FIGGINS IS REPLACING HIM!!!! Our little Figgy has made the all star team!!!
  14. Sounds like they are buds after reading that last part.
  15. Put AI at SG, Jamal to the bench. NOW how does this team of scorers look?
  16. Wow what a come back for the Phillies.
  17. K I put Curry in for Damp. But im not sold on Salmons D, im still in shock by how awful he defended Pierce in the 4th quarter of the Celtics series. I know its Pierce but, he constantly let him shoot and shot from any spot he wanted without a good contest.
  18. Pujols is 29, about to be a free agent. For MLB I think its Lincecum, one of the most dominating pitchers the game has ever seen, and hes still reallly young. Pujols is the best player in MLB by far, but Lincecum might be better long term.
