But if I had to guess, id say they keep it around a 10 point deficit and then try to go all out at the end, cut the lead by a few baskets but still lose. For as much shit as Kobe talks, he could at least play some D and not leave 3 point shooters wide open for NO reason.

Not really. His all around numbers arent as good as they have been in years past. Durant and Melo are both having great seasons, and their teams are doing better. And oh yeah, theres still that 34 year old leading the league in scoring.

We arent getting jack for Gasol. Firstly, nobody wants him. Hes not the player he once was, and hes not going to be a key piece to a contender (meaning top 2 option). I believe hes a big expiring next year so thats a plus. However I doubt wed get anyone of any sort of value for him, and NOBODY wants to help the Lakers. Rather keep the Lakers down while they can. There isnt really much we can do with this roster, nobody wants our garbage. Our best bet is go dumpster diving in the FA pool, and hope we can find a nice fit. But other then that, this team just has to start playing defense and they are certainly capable of it. We cant guard a chair right now, any ball handler can go off on us.

I wouldnt rule anything out. How many thought hed be averaging close to 30 this season? Shooting 48 % at that. The only thing that worries me is his durability. He always says how he feels beat up after every game, and it is his 17th season in the league. Jordan was good at age 40, but he hadnt played as many seasons as Kobe. Could you imagine someone dropping 25+ per game in their 20th season? At some point hes going to regress. You could argue statistically hes having his best season since 06.
