Delfino is back to the form he had before he went out which is good.
-
Not only did he post up those stats, but he did it against a solid post defender in Emeka Okafor and arguably the hottest team in the NBA right now. This kid has talent, I hope he can put it to use every game.

P-Diddy Being Sued For One Trillion Dollars
Newman replied to EastCoastNiner's topic in Off-Topic Discussion Forum
Link doesn't work for me. EDIT: Works now. Hilarious. -
They didn't want to ruin KG's effort to get special shoes to wear against the Lakers.

Big Changes On The Way For Blazers
Newman replied to The Regime's topic in Portland Trail Blazers Team Forum
If they can trade any injured players for any healthy players of the same calibre then they would be able to compete in the playoffs. It's sad but true. -
When did Japan score!?
-
Just from the Suns' point of view though, they dumped Hedo's terrible contract (it was terrible when he was with the Suns/Raptors), albeit sacrificing Jason Richardson in the process, and got a good big man in Gortat which they desperately needed, got a third/fourth scorer in VC and a player who fits the system perfectly on paper in Pietrus. In retrorespect, this means the Suns' overall moves before and during the season to date is: Amare Stoudemire, Jason Richardson, Earl Clark for Hakim Warrick, Pietrus, Gortat, VC, Josh Childress and possibly Channing Frye due to the cap space created It may not be the greatest of deals, but since Amare was definitely set on leaving unless given max money, they tried their best in getting players which fit the system or fill a need.

Bill Walton suggests Greg Oden should retire
Newman replied to *Swish*'s topic in Portland Trail Blazers Team Forum
It is Bill Walton, so what he said should be taken with a pinch of salt. However, he has a good point in that Oden should not be forcing himself to return ASAP as that is clearly not working. Just relaxing and wait for the injury to heal was what he should have done at the start. Now, facing unemployment if he doesn't return to the court next year, he has a hard decision to make. -
That was just a low blow. He must have been frustrated and all, but this was no way to express it.

D Cousins always play one good game and then one bad game. If he is more consistent he is already in consideration for the best center in the West.
-
Kobe may not make every shot he makes, but he makes the ones that are impossible for most others to make. Therefore, the safest bet for any team is to put the ball in his hands in the clutch moment as he is the one who can turn impossible into possible.

This Suns/Magic deal is proving to another shrewd piece of business. Gortat is doing well and Pietrus/VC are solid.

That is some epic looking [expletive] right there. Definitely going to be on the lookout for it.

Marvin Williams-Shawn Williams throwdown
Newman replied to The Regime's topic in General NBA Discussion
Like I said in the gameday thread, this would have been bigger than it is had the other players not break them up. Shawne Williams is going to be suspended for a while I think as that punch connected. -
Gortat has been impressive recently and today he is just eating up the Celtics' frontline.
-
This isn't soccer though. If there are talented guys in Toronto, they would have been invited to universities with a strong basketball program which would more than likely in the US. They would then go into the draft and the Raptors would have a 1/30 chance of getting him.

Who should start at center for the west?
Newman replied to The Truth's topic in NBA All-Star Weekend Archives
Blake Griffin. -
Snap. Fortunately all the other players were peacemakers otherwise this could have turned into something bigger than it is.
-
35-13-13 from Westbrook. This guy's an all-star.
-
Anyone got a link to the Williams-Williams fight?
-
I am loving it. Even though Dwight scored 40, only one other person (Arenas) cracked double-digits and his FGM-FGA line was 5-13.

I would have raged had Nene got the spot over someone like Love or Randolph only because he is a C so to me, things worked out on its own this year.
-
Because Bynum has only played around 10 good games and ~15 in total. (Feel free to correct me die-hard Lakers fans) It doesn't matter what they were listed because the listing system is too rigid. Reserves are determined by coaches and I don't think they are bounded by the listing system. Since Gasol played C when Bynum was out, I guess he would take the spot due to the lack of strong competitors. I would have liked to see K-Love/insert another PF averaging 20-10 who would have been left out taking the spot though.
