I can already guarantee Shumpert will win the dunk contest because Lin is assisting him. With the final round only based on fan vote, he got this locked up.

Timberwolves trying to land Pau Gasol
Newman replied to Dash's topic in Minnesota Timberwolves Team Forum
I would do it if I am the Lakers though. But that's because I don't believe the Lakers can win with the current core. -
^ Blake last year? This participant list looks weak though, looks like I can skip it this year.

[Completed] Sig + avatar request - Landry Fields
Newman replied to Newman's topic in Signature and Avatar Requests
Looks absolutely terrific. Cheers. -
When the Heat crush a team, they really do crush them.

Type of artwork (sig, wall, avy): Sig + avatar set if possible Person/Team/etc to be included in the graphic: Landry Fields Size: As long as it fits the forum's regulations. Picture (optional): Your choice. Any other details (such as text, colors, etc.): Nothing fancy required. Just a simple sig and avatar would be terrific.

They just cut him for Andre Emmett. Don't remember him being any good at that time, but the Nets do need a healthy body.

Anytime someone insult your family you gotta do something about it. Fan was an idiot.

To paraphrase Kanye, this shit cray. Knicks are #linning, thanks to a guy they basically picked up off the streets.

I think he will be nicer by the end of the game.

Chauncey Billups is done for the season
Newman replied to Art's topic in Los Angeles Clippers Team Forum
As long as Mo doesn't whine about not getting a new contract the Clips will be fine. I am assuming they can add J.R Smith to the mix given that he has played with Martin and Billups before. -
The only one which I am strongly disagreeing on in the reserves list is Dirk. I am fine with the rest.

This is one damn ugly quarter by Westbrook.

They just need to be more consistent and play with the same effort every single game. The talent is there.

MUST SEE: JEREMY LIN DUNKS ON WIZARDS
Newman replied to *Swish*'s topic in NBA and College Basketball Media
I love J-Lin's play. But this dunk wasn't spectacular. -

MUST SEE: JEREMY LIN DUNKS ON WIZARDS
Newman replied to *Swish*'s topic in NBA and College Basketball Media
Seriously, if Lin doesn't look Asian, this dunk is just a plain dunk. -
Sure, Melo is not on the same level as Beasley or Young, but this year he has really been inefficient in scoring and make questionable decisions at times. He can do more with the ball, granted, but would it really be wise to just pass him the ball and watch him do work or would it be better for the Knicks to let Lin create and look for Chandler/Amare first?
-
They could have amnestied Biedrins, but instead they used it on Charlie Bell. Like Simba said, they have been excellent in some games, but not often enough. I am sure they are calling teams to see if they want Monta, but at the moment maybe they should ask other teams about taking Curry instead.

Watching the Knicks recently has really made me wonder whether they are better off putting the ball into Lin's hands and running pick and rolls with Tyson Chandler or giving the ball to Melo and let him create. Chandler is shooting at a staggering 70%. Granted, most of his 'shots' are dunks, but if he can convert them at such a high %, wouldn't the Knicks be better off running PnRs with Lin and Chandler/Amare rather than letting Melo isolate 50% of the time? Which brings me to my question: if you were the coach, and you had a center like McGee, Pekovic or Chandler who can finish only around the rim and a high volume scorer like Nick Young, Beasley or Melo, who would you run your offense around?

Changes to the "Rookie Challenge"
Newman replied to Real Deal's topic in NBA All-Star Weekend Archives
I am guessing 9 rookies and 9 Sophomores have to be picked, or else this contest is going to eventually be Soph-heavy or Rookie-heavy. -
You know the Wizards got problems when both Kleiza and Bayless can drop 30 on you.
-
8 turnovers aside, 28 points and 8 assists for Lin. Not bad at all.

Blake plays defense?
