More Clutch: Ben Gordon vs Mario Chalmers
Newman replied to B-Marsh>R-Moss's topic in Player Comparisons
Haven't actually seen Chalmers made a game winning/tying shot in the NBA so Ben Gordon. -
There should be at least 1 rocket in every team selected... PG: Aaron Brooks SG: Devin Brown SF: Gerald Wallace PF: Antawn Jamison C: Chuck Hayes

Having played the BETA until I got capped (just the wrong time) I must say despite not being a fan of shooting games (my only other shooting game being Halo 3 and have only experienced a little bit of COD:MW2), this game is incredible when the team-mates work with you. I experience no lag when playing a game mode with 256 players and only lags after I got capped but despite that, the game was still playable. Maybe it's due to my lack of experience of shooting games, but I was very, very impressed with the game. It's now on top of my wantlist. EDIT: That said, it'll be interesting to see whether this game still remain free online given the cost to maintain such high level servers for massive number of players to play together. There have been rumors about MAG that it will be pay-to-play but none have been confirmed.

He would get some PT in any team that require more than two big men playing significant minutes in a rotation. Sadly, the Knicks have two big men that put up consistent numbers in Al Harrington and David Lee and when they need a breather Landry is playing. He'll get some playing time eventually I hope for the sake of the Knicks. He can put up the stats if given the time.

From this article on ESPN It seems out of reach that they'll hire an expensive coach considering they would re-hire Tim Floyd as the main assistant coach despite his terrible record in the NBA and considering that none of their former head coaches had a really great reputation (Byron Scott maybe, but rumour has it that his assistant coaches does most of the work during his stint with the Nets. He might've been involved with the Hornets but his reputation didn't really increase after his stint with them anyway.), would Avery Johnson be the right fit for the Hornets?

Not sure the point of getting Humphries when Sean Williams is just as, maybe even more, talented than him. I guess the Nets are just throwing little trades in the hope that the new players will be able to support the starting 5 of the team, who I think have potential to be a brilliant starting 5 in the future.

The problem is that when Kevin Martin is their best player, the stats of the people surrounding him drops. Being a scorer, he takes potential shooting opportunities away from JT, Tyreke Evans, Nocioni and Hawes. It works when he makes 60% of the 20-25 shots but not when he makes just 20% of the shots.

Is wiz a better team with arenas/ without him?
Newman replied to I love the NBA's topic in Washington Wizards Team Forum
They used to be better with him, but not anymore. He adds that sort of unpredictability to a team that, at the moment, needs a leader who is stable and able to be consistent while also helping his team-mates. I am not saying Arenas did not do any of that, but Jamison seems to be a better leader at the moment. -
Carlos Boozer to Dallas rumor / speculation
Newman replied to MainEv3nt's topic in Dallas Mavericks Team Forum
Still...they should be trying to get an upgrade on the wing positions to complement Deron Williams and Ronnie Brewer. Wesley Matthews and C.J Miles aren't really starting materials. There surely are better trade offers for an all-star player like Boozer but this trade would work better if the Jazz doesn't waive Gooden though, they can use him. -
Carlos Boozer to Dallas rumor / speculation
Newman replied to MainEv3nt's topic in Dallas Mavericks Team Forum
I don't think the Jazz would be satisfied with getting Eduardo Najera for Carlos Boozer. -
One question going back in time. As we know, Chicago Bulls dominated the 1990s' (we'll ignore 1994,1995 and 1999) but which Bulls' three-peat line-up is better? Here are the line-ups for the first three-peat and the second three-peat. (From wikipedia) First era: Chicago Bulls 1990–91 NBA Champions 2 Hopson | 5 Paxson | 10 Armstrong | 14 Hodges | 23 Jordan (Finals MVP) | 24 Cartwright | 32 Perdue | 33 Pippen | 34 King | 42 Williams | 53 Levingston | 54 Grant | Chicago Bulls 1991–92 NBA Champions 5 Paxson | 10 Armstrong | 14 Hodges | 20 Hansen | 21 King | 23 Jordan (Finals MVP) | 24 Cartwright | 32 Perdue | 33 Pippen | 42 Williams | 53 Levingston | 54 Grant | Chicago Bulls 1992–93 NBA Champions 5 Paxson | 6 Tucker | 10 Armstrong | 20 Walker | 21 King | 22 McCray | 23 Jordan (Finals MVP) | 24 Cartwright | 32 Perdue | 33 Pippen | 42 Williams | 54 Grant | The main starting line-up being: PG B.J Armstrong SG Michael Jordan SF Scottie Pippen PF Horace Grant C Bill Cartwright Second era: Chicago Bulls 1995–96 NBA Champions 0 Brown | 7 Kukoč | 8 Simpkins | 9 Harper | 13 Longley | 22 Salley | 23 Jordan (Finals MVP) | 25 Kerr | 30 Buechler | 33 Pippen | 34 Wennington | 35 Caffey | 53 Edwards | 54 Haley | 91 Rodman | Chicago Bulls 1996–97 NBA Champions 00 Parish | 1 Brown | 7 Kukoč | 8 Simpkins | 9 Harper | 13 Longley | 18 Williams | 23 Jordan (Finals MVP) | 25 Kerr | 30 Buechler | 33 Pippen | 34 Wennington | 35 Caffey | 91 Rodman | Chicago Bulls 1997–98 NBA Champions 1 Brown | 5 LaRue | 7 Kukoč | 8 Simpkins | 9 Harper | 13 Longley | 22 Booth | 23 Jordan (Finals MVP) | 24 Burrell | 25 Kerr | 30 Buechler | 33 Pippen | 34 Wennington | 53 Kleine | 91 Rodman | The main starting line-up being: PG Ron Harper SG Michael Jordan SF Scottie Pippen PF Dennis Rodman C Luc Longley The teams both contain former all-stars (Bill Cartwright and Dennis Rodman, BJ got into the all-star game after he was with the Bulls) and role players on the bench (Craig Hodges, Scott Williams, John Paxson for the first era and Toni Kukoc, Jud Buechler and Steve Kerr for the second era) but there might be a bit more depth in the second era than the first era in my opinion. It's your call.

Like I said, purely a personal favorite. If we're to go by this season's stats, Allen would not even be on the top 10 and VC would be on it.
-
My Top 10 outta the list by Real Deal: 1. Kobe Bryant 2. Dwyane Wade 3. Brandon Roy 4. Joe Johnson 5. Ray Allen (purely a personal favorite) 6. Andre Iguodala 7. Joe Johnson 8. Monta Ellis 9 (Tied-2). Tyreke Evans, OJ Mayo Just made it on my list.
-
He might make the top 10 of SG in my opinion then.

And Jared STUDley.

I second that. I hope the Magic will re-sign Alston if he doesn't already have an agreement with the Heat. He did a solid job last year and that's what the Magic need now. Nelson can be used to traded to fill any holes left of the Magic team.

Any PS3 users been playing the beta for this game?
-
He ain't going nowhere since it's pretty much impossible to find a deal that the Rockets will like.

2009 NBA Draft is one filled with quality point guards. After a few months it is clear that Brandon Jennings and Tyreke Evans are at another level comparing to the rest of the point guard with them being the star of their team respectively. But here comes the question, who would be the third best PG of the draft as of your post? Would it be Stephen Curry of the Warriors, Jonny Flynn of the T'Wolves or Ty Lawson of the Nuggets or maybe even another point guard such as Darren Collison of the Hornets? It's your call.

and Williams is Deron right...not Lou/Mo or J-Will....I am going to say Team A no matter though because of LeBron...yes Paul is gonna kill whoever that Willams is and there is more of an attacking bench in team B but they don't matter because not only of LeBron, but also because Team A overall is more versatile and all of them besides Battier (but his silent contribution helps, especially in defence) and Odom (but he can do a bit of everything) gets an A grade for at least two of the main categories in measuring stats.

Sources Say Nets Offered Deal Involving Nate and Milicic
Newman replied to Teletopez's topic in Brooklyn Nets Team Forum
So because this deal didn't happen...the Nets got Chris Quinn for Rafer Alston instead. -
I don't see why they won't guarantee the contract of their starting PG. 1 million doesn't sound like big money to the Heat. That's less than what Chris Quinn is making.
