  1. Still can't believe Memphis traded Love for Mayo, that front line would have been beast, even if you have to give up Randolph
  2. Kawai Leonard has been giving Rudy gay fits. So far the energy from the Spurs has been solid, Parker needs to pull his head out of his ass though.
  3. It was pretty much the same exact shot, apparently you can only get it off in .4 not .5. Smh Even though the loss was heartbreaking I'll give major credit to the Spurs bench. Neal, Green and Anderson especially. I do think Pop should have made some subs in OT though. That unit was clearly out of gas. Props to Dallas for staying tough Anyway even though this loss was heartbreaking I give major props to the bench
  4. 05/07 for sure, and even though Bowen played great in 03 S-Jax was the X factor that year. Other than that I completely agree with you.
  5. It's not that he's been playing "way" better, it's just that Pop is actually playing him this year. Last year Pop gave him "the rookie treatment" and he only got garbage time despite being the 2nd best big in the roster. This year Splitter is getting PT (still to little) and he is clearly the best big on the Spurs offensively and defensively. The guy didn't win euro league MVP for nothing. He has a lot of experience and is very talented.
  6. Horry was a bench player, a damn good one but he wasn't asked to guard the opposing teams best player every night like Bowen was.
  7. On the Spurs? Not a chance, overall of course. You really wouldn't understand how important Bowen was to this team unless you watched EVERY game like I did. Night in and night out he was asked to guard the opposing teams best player while consistently being a threat from 3. You say that he was only the 4th most important player on the team, I disagree. Bowen was just as important to all of those championship runs as Manu, Tim, and Tony. Like him or not he was the best perimeter defender of the 2000's. He had the ability to guard positions 1-3 and even some 4. Those type of defenders are extremely rare. Sometimes it seems like people really underappreciate the value of LOCKDOWN defense. Scoring isn't everything in basketball.
  8. Duncan has said himself that he will play till the "wheels fall off". Now he isn't putting up huge numbers this year, but he has been solid overall. His defense has been solid and he is starting to rebound a lot better. Since Ginobili went down Duncan has stepped up his game. Like someone else said it all depends on Pop, if he stays then so does Duncan. I do believe that the Spurs will restructure Timmys' contract saving them quite abit of money and will allow them to make a play at a solid FA.
  9. Without Bowen we probably only have 2 maybe 3 rings.... Def deserves this!
  10. Awesome decision, Bowen's defense was huge in the championship era, but let's not forget he was a clutch playoff 3 point shooter. Shot 40 percent from 3 in the playoffs. He may have bent the rules a little bit and had a handful of dirty plays, but there were far dirtier players....
  11. Jefferson is a soft choker plain and simple. If the game is "meaningful" or "on the line" Jefferson and Bonner go M.I.A.
  12. That's not due to him being "old", that was pops decision to keep the same group out there that led the "comeback". If anything since Manu went down Duncan is playing a lot better.
  13. I would take Dallas, SA, Portland, Denver, LAL, and Memphis all over LAC in the PO tbh. If healty of course...
  14. Overall I have nothing to complain about this game. Kyle Lowry made some huge shots despite the Spurs playing solid defense, and guys like Dragic made plays at times where Spurs played intense defense for 23 seconds. Not having Manu or Timmy tonight killed us. Although watching Splitter finally get the minutes he deserves was a nice, hopefully it continues because Splitter was fantastic tonight. Tony Parker also helped keep this team alive, Parker and Splitter pick N roll was a thing of beauty. Anyway Props to the Rockets
  15. For the majority of the game both teams looked exhausted. Shots were flat and players were lazy on defense. BFT summed it up about Duncan, he played about as well as anyone could against Dwight. He played tough throughout the whole game which was nice to see on a B2B. Richard Jefferson and Matt Bonner were once again useless (aside from Jeffersons hook in OT). They played below average defense (normal), but they went into full playoff mode where they couldn't make any wide open shots! As for Leonard, this is the first time he was alsed to guard a PG, and he did a pretty good job. I have hyped him all season so far, but he has easily been the best rookie since Manu. He has shown that he can guard positions 1-4. Sky is the limit for this kid defensively, his offense is coming around as well!
  16. What are you basing this off of? Bynum has never had the opportunity to be a 1st option, hell until maybe this year he was the 3rd option at best.
  17. Don't like the "fantasy" trades and never will. The only teams that benefit from fantasy trades are large market teams, and IMO hurts the NBA. A more level playing field, makes for a more exciting and competitive league IMO.
  18. Also weren't 3 of the road losses the 2nd game of a B2B? That also has a lot to do with it....
  19. 5 words.... Matt Bonner and Richard Jefferson! These guys have always been HORRIBLE on the road.
  20. Well Lebron went ape shit in the 2nd half (3rd quarter) and San Antonio blows a big lead. I'm turning the game off now
