Keith Bogans or Roger Mason JR should be on the list.

San Antonio at Golden State
Finch23 replied to Real Deal's topic in Golden State Warriors Team Forum
My heart skipped a few beats..... As for the injuries, I think SA deserves to have a healthy year! San Antonio has been plagued by injuries for the past three years now, we deserve a break. (We as in fans of the Spurs). Lol -

I hope the Spurs come out with more energy for tonights game. They better if they want to win... -
Horrible game Spurs!!!! :-(

Spurs are playing some incredible basketball. Dejuan Blair had another solid game, this kid is a beast. Timmy D is also starting to pick his game up and it shows, These last couple of games IMO proves that People shouldn't worry about Duncan. 21 points 16 rebounds 8 assists and 5 blocks is playoff Duncan esque and I fully believe that after the ASB we will see more of this Duncan.

What does your team need to improve upon?
Finch23 replied to Pooh25's topic in General NBA Discussion
I wouldn't really call JR Smith a "good defender". OP, the guy is extremely talented but probably has the lowest IQ in the league. I don't think the Bulls wouldn't want that type of player. Team Needs- Center/ Back up SF (not so much when James Anderson comes back). Anyway the Spurs can improve on a few things. Defense Currently 12th in the league, the Spurs defense is def not where it needs to be. The main problem is when Dejuan Blair or Matt Bonner are in the game. Opposing bigs just attack these players at will. Duncan is playing solid defense, but there is still room for improvement. The Spurs still lack a true lock down perimeter defender (I'm not sure they exist anymore though). Dick Jefferson has improved but is still not as good as I hoped. George Hill is also playing solid defense and is the Spurs best defender, but he is undersized and can't defend most SF's. Hopefully Pop can get this group to play better D. Focus- A lot of games it seems like the Spurs have no focus. They come out soft and play "down" to their opponents level. Eventhough they have the best record in the league they need to continue to keep the foot on the gas pedal. LA and Mavs are not to far behind and they can't afford to lose focus. Duncan- I know he has played the fewest minutes in his career, but it's getting close to that time where Timmy needs to start playing more minutes and look for his offensive game. In the playoffs the game will slow down and the Spurs are going to need "playoff" Duncan. As far as team needs I still think the Spurs need a defensive minded big. Splitter was supposed to be the answer but he is getting the Pop rookie treatment, and I don't expect him to be in the playoff rotation. It pisses me off because Splitter has shown he can defend well against solid bigs. If Pop is not going to use Tiago the Spurs can't rely on Bonner and Blair. Hopefully they can find an inexpensive big to help against tall teams. Not sure who that is though...... -
Lakers fans, what's going on (serious question). All of the people I know that are Lakers fans are just saying "we are just cruising until the postseason". While I agree with that To a certain extent, these type of games are the ones LA gets up and plays championship ball. Is there a cause for concern, or is it just LA's lack of focus?

Nice win Spurs. Mcdyess, Blair, Parker, and Timmy all played solid
-
Gary Neal has done it multiple times this year, where he shoots like 1-7 through the first 3 quarters and then comes in the 4th and hits big three pointers. I <3 this guy!
-
Spurs finally woke up, much better third quarter. Blair and TP are playin some solid Ball
-
Nice start to the third quarter for the Spurs. Blair just has a knack for the ball on the offensive glass. I would like to see him work with a guy like Barkley to see how an undersized PF can succeed in this league.

I understand that most teams announcers are a little bit biased, but these Raptors announcers are pretty bad. Spurs playing like garbae though.

Spurs started out hot, then went ICE COLD. Seems like they thought they won the game when it was 10-0. Wake the F UP

http://blog.mysanantonio.com/spursnation/2011/01/16/rookie-anderson-getting-closer-to-return/ Great news. Getting him back on the court even if it is with the Toros will be great. Before his injury Anderson was playing very well on both ends of the floor, and it will take him some time to get back to form but the sooner the better. Spurs will add another weapon to thier already powerful arsenal.

I for one expected the Spurs to be a much betterteam this year, but I woul have never imagined the strong start that they have had so far. I still HIGHLY doubt they get 70 wins. I would say 62-65ish
-
10-0 run, nice start for SA
-
Let's get another W Spurs!!! Don't sleep on this team.
-
Tim Duncan had himself a very nice defensive game! Also I <3 Gary Neal, he reminds me of S-Jax in 03 only smaller. His offense is so smooth.

Why did Team USA lose that often this past decade ?

1 word. GINOBILIIIIIIIIIIIIIII -
George Hill is really coming to be a very good defender. If he keeps improving he could become Bruce Bowen esque in a few years. Anyway good win for San Antonio!!!
-
Big game regardless if Dirk plays or not. Spurs need to win so they can get a 2-1 lead on head to head games. The further they can separate themselves now the better.
-
Seems like TP is taking the back seat now and letting Duncan and Ginobili carry the load. Duncan has played solid these last few games, while TP's scoring has been M.I.A. I should give props to Bonner though because he won this game for the Spurs. He was driving, hitting runners in the lane and knocking down threes. His defense was also solid considering we are talking about Matt Bonner.

Out of state fans: how did it happen?
Finch23 replied to The Truth's topic in General NBA Discussion
The first game I ever watched was a Bulls vs Spurs game in 1989. I was only 3 years old but my mother always says after that day I always wanted to watch basketball. I have an uncle who lives in San Antonio and every birthday he would send me a Spurs hat or shirt or something like that. TBH I was more interested in Michael Jordan and the Bulls. In 1993 my school was having Phoenix Suns parades for the finals and I was the only kid not going for them. I'm pretty sure that is how my PURE HATRED for the Suns started. Anyway I always liked Robinson and the Spurs due to my uncle, but if you would have asked me back then I was primarily a Bulls fan. As I got a bit older and started to understand the game more I would follow the Spurs as much as I could. (especially the years when Jordan retired). I quickly became a huge fan of the Spurs and the Bulls were left as my 2nd team. Eventhough the Suns are my hometown team I will never like them and will always be a Spurs fan. -
I agree with pretty much everything except for the Spurs. Manu Ginobili is playing a lot better, but that's what Spurs fans expected when he is healthy. Richard Jefferson IMO is the most improved. His numbers are not significantly better, but his confidence level and his understanding of the Spurs system is what makes him so much better this year. He doesn't hesitate to shoot the ball, and he is more willing Ti attack the basket. He is a big part of why the Spurs have the best record.
