Sad that Kawhi chose the Clippers over us, but I have to really credit Rob Pelinka for spending the rest of our cap space on solid role players, shooters and veterans. I'm also excited that we're giving Boogie a shot, hoping he can get back to where he used to be athletically. Good to be back!

It's good to be back.

I've moved a couple of times, went from working at a chiropractor's office to freelance, then two months ago I got a job as a graphic designer for a media/advertising company in Bakersfield. About a week ago we had a big client LOVE the logo design I did for them, really sealed the deal on that account. That was pretty cool. Went through about 3 different relationships, none of them panned out but that's OK...I feel like I'm in a good spot right now. Looking at the possibility of becoming a long term missionary within the next year or two. Feel like my life has been heading toward that goal over the past couple of years.

10 Year anniversary in a couple of months...that's wild.

Klay Thompson Gets A Max Contract
GamerGuy replied to Legacy's topic in Golden State Warriors Team Forum
Klay has enough upside to him that overpaying him isn't really a huge gamble, in my opinion, How he's broken out during the summer and how he's currently playing makes this a good move to secure him. -
I knew the Lakers wouldn't be good...but at least I was going to enjoy watching Randle develop. Our team is cursed.

Still my remember my login, oh yeaah. I can finally stop referring to this place in the past tense. Woo!

He looked exactly the same as he does on TV, though from his seat he looked pretty relaxed. I recognized the bald spot on his head and realized it was him.

I was boarding my flight from Dallas/Fort Worth to LAX, and sitting in first class was Mitch Kupchak. I had to do a triple take for it to actually sink in, but once it did I stopped and said hello. I didn't really ask him questions, just said it was good to see him and he asked how I was doing. Nice guy. Makes you wonder what he was doing in Dallas...

I'm actually starting to get excited about this team...Kobe continues to amaze me each game.

Ex-LAPD cop wanted for triple murder, manhunt in progress
GamerGuy replied to Real Deal's topic in Off-Topic Discussion Forum
Did you guys even read the manifesto? He's clearly snapped...a lot of his anger seems to be stemming from childhood bullying (white kids calling him racial slurs) in addition to what happened while he was on the force. You just don't praise someone who kills for his own delusional view of justice. Hope they catch this guy soon. -
Happy 8th Anniversary (Board Upgrade)
GamerGuy replied to Real Deal's topic in DiscussHoops Announcements
Love the new look, very streamlined. Happy 8 years fellas, keep on keeping on. Woah anime avatar! Haha old school right thurrr. -
Been doing video work since I was 17, but this is my first real foray into freelance work.
-
I'm the marketing manager / chiropractic assistant at a chiropractor office. It's essentially two full-time jobs rolled into one. On the side I also do some free lance video work with my friend.

First time in my life I've had paid vacation time. This entire week plus New Years Eve/Day off...so blessed!

http://www.discusshoops.com/images/jerseys/realdeal.jpg http://www.discusshoops.com/forums/user/1-real-deal/ The one name that is synonymous with OTR/DH...the creator himself. Real Deal, Brandon, B...he is the Michael Jordan of sports website owners. And just like MJ, now he's going to take a few minutes and rip into everyone who ever doubted him. Kidding. Sort of. But regardless of what you call him, there's no denying that this man has done more for the people here than you can imagine. Countless hours spent coding, designing skins, creating rosters, writing articles, designing banners, creating and replying to thousands of posts. No, not just those. The fact that he has provided us with the best place to discuss basketball on the web is one thing, but to create a place where he's actually helped people with life issues as well? Simply incredible. Anyone remember his "Love Advice" thread way back in the day? Or how about spending hours on AIM being real and honest with complete strangers who turned to him for advice? Remember him creating a charity with our "Shoot for the Stars" t-shirts? Brandon Neal's greatest accomplishment isn't the site itself, but how he has made a real impact in the lives of those who have come to call this home. There have been many highs and lows over these past 7 years, but one thing remains true. And that is "Real Deal" Brandon Neal does not give up. He didn't give up when he lost his vision. He didn't give up when we were wiped out completely after the hack. He didn't give up when bigger, more active sites tried to buy us out. Relentless. He does not quit. Today we honor this man. Today is your day, Brandon. Take a bow, you've earned it brother. Congratulations, B. You are immortalized in the OTR Hall of Fame!

My friend and I filmed a mutual friend about a month ago doing a spoken word piece. We both did the cinematography, but my friend did the editing and special FX. Turned out pretty legit I think! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XKtPHMMCRNQ

He stood up for the rest of you when he gave Shaliq that suspension. I'm not sure what more you could want from Brandon in regards to that. Just cleaned out my inbox.

Just saw this, was one of the better Bond movies in recent years. Not quite as good as Casino Royale (one of my favorites of all time), but MUCH better than QoS. Kept thinking of No Country for Old Men whenever I saw Silva, lol. Awesome movie.

Hey Justin, remember that massive Wii vs 360 vs PS3 thread I did way back in the day, well before any of the consoles came out? That thing was a beast, wish I could go back and read it again, lol. Thanks Shaliq. Did you know that I've had a total of 3 name changes during my tenure here? Gamerguy15 --> GamerGuy, then GamerGuy --> Kairu, then Kairu --> GamerGuy. I think I was rolling with Kairu for a good two years or so before switching back. Well, I guess I technically have 4 name changes if you count that one time with Aaron...but I mean hey, it was just guy love. Brandon: http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y120/Koyote/LOL.jpg

Aww, you sure know how to make a guy feel warm and fuzzy. Thanks y'all, I appreciate it. ^_^ Even though I don't post as much as I like to, I still try to make the effort to patrol the forums and read just about every thread each night. This place has had a huge impact on me, and you guys have made the journey worthwhile. Oh yeah... http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y120/Koyote/gamercry.png

I was super pissed off tonight, so I went to the gym for two hours to blow some steam off. Was by far the best I've ever lifted, and I killed it in several games of basketball. I feel amazing now, lol. Could of probably played all night with the way I was feeling earlier.

I left your original posts because others had replied to it, to which you were complaining about being left in the thread. Hence why I asked if you wanted your post to be deleted, which would take care of the ones you quoted. But enough about that, really. Please get back to the topic.
