    If you can find this book at your library, I would recommend picking it up. It tells about the Lakers early days, from Minnesota to L.A., Buss buying the team, and Showtime.     A section about how Jerry Buss acquired the team, and the changes that came about from that would be pretty significant. Without Buss, Showtime wouldn't exist.

    Absolutely. I grew up in the country, so handling a firearm came hand in hand with life out there. One time I was very close to using one for self defense, but in the end I didn't have to.

    I've looked at resume and cover letter examples, and there's about a million different ways to build them. Pretty annoying. In other news, I wanted to head out to Vegas this week but I'll have to put it off until January. Sucks. but it works out because I'll have more money when I hit up the clubs.

    So I'm putting together my cover letter and resume, and I'm finding this to be a daunting task. It's not like filling out a job application, I have to make this thing look legit or else it's going into the paper shredder when I hand it in. Kinda stressful.

    Haha, there's a 6 page thread about Ron Artest in the Lakers forum. It was asking if we wanted him or not...one of those classic Laker pipe dream threads. Crazy how things turned out. Good times, good times.

    I think most of his turnovers were from travels. He had two or three like that. Other than that, I liked some of the post moves he made out there, and he seems to be getting more comfortable on the block as he gets more playing time. Barnes was amazing, to have a guy who can produce a game like that off the bench for us is awesome.

    But anyone can contribute articles, so you don't even have to be on the staff if you wanted to write something.

    I did, and they're fine. I think your writing style is more suited towards blogging, which is great, but not exactly what we're looking for in our writers. We want them to be knowledgeable about the NBA, or a specific team, and to post articles on a somewhat regular basis. There's nothing too special about being a writer really, besides a different color nameplate and writing articles.

    Yes. Look at the very bottom of the page, and you should see a drop-down menu on the left hand side. Click the selection arrow, and select IP .Board Mobile. This changes the board's skin to a mobile friendly version.
