Finals GM3: Miami at Dallas (Series Tied 1-1)
GamerGuy posted a topic in Dallas Mavericks Team Forum

Yup, Nancy Lieberman. http://www.nba.com/2010/news/features/art_garcia/11/18/lieberman/index.html

Good, the matter is settled then. Brandon doesn't need to consult you on how he chooses his staff members, so I suggest you drop it. Oh, and if you feel that IllWill is stalking you, then you have the wonderful option to use the ignore feature. It'll most certainly solve your problem. But doing so begs the question...I thought that words can't cause physical harm? That a little nastiness outta toughen the skin up a bit? Eh, what do I know. Anyways, I suggest you use the ignore feature or just use your will power to ignore him, either way works.

Cleaned it up. I left IllWill's question in because I believe it's a valid question for this topic, and I left your response Poe. Both of you should just leave it at that.

And you could of just as easily taken this conversation to a PM, instead of continuing it in here. Also, don't make snarky comments like that about Real Deal. Not going to take that crap from you.

Finals GM2: Dallas at Miami (MIA 1-0)

Laker fans were saying the same thing after we blew that huge lead and lost the game in our series against Dallas. We were too good to lose 3 in a row, but that's exactly what happened. -

I don't know why some of you guys are saying the Heat will still win in 5, maybe 6 games. They won their previous series in 5 games because nobody could beat them on their home court. Dallas just did. Not only that, but Dallas just snapped the Heat's winning streak. The momentum has shifted, this series is definitely going to 6, maybe 7 games. -

What a finish by Dirk...he's taken his game to another level. Now Dallas goes back with home court advantage, that is huge. -

Jason Terry needs to be productive for the Mavs...if he has another bad game I don't have much hope for a Dallas victory. -
If you could make a restaurant

It'd be a steak restaurant, and I would call it "The Steak Out". .... -

I don't know why everyone is picking the Heat in 5 games or so. This Dallas team is one of the deepest teams I have ever watched, and Dirk is playing out of his freaking mind. This series will go to at least 6 games, and I think Dallas will eventually come out on top.

I was wondering why he was wearing the damn thing so high, he's got a receding hairline.

1. New coach, new voice. Phil is gone, Mike Brown is here, and while the thought of that is scary, it's also a little bit exciting. I have a feeling that certain players on the team, while they loved Phil, are looking forward to a new style next year. 2. Healthy as a horse. For the first time in a long time, the entire roster will be healthy going into the off-season. Kobe will have time to rest and strengthen his knee, and speaking of knees Bynum will have the whole summer to work on his game, instead of rehabilitating an injury. 3. Plenty of rest. An early exit from the post-season means plenty of R&R for the guys. Playing into June for three years straight takes it toll on the body, and having those couple of weeks off early will help tremendously. 4. Hunger is back. Let's face it, the hunger wasn't there this year. After getting swept in the second round, you can bet your bottom dollar that they'll be feeling the hunger pains next year. 5. It's the Lakers. Given our track record, you know that we won't have a lot of downtime.

I don't know how you guys can handle the humidity. Every time I go to visit friends in Fresno during the summer, I feel like killing myself. I'll take 120 degree temps and the dry heat of the desert over the humidity.

Followed ya, now you can return the favor. @yatesetay

GM5: Oklahoma City at Dallas (DAL 3-1)
GamerGuy replied to Real Deal's topic in Dallas Mavericks Team Forum
Thunder improved by leaps and bounds from last year, and you can bet your bottom dollar they'll improve even more next year. Growing pains hurt, but in the end it's what they need. Major props to them for hanging tough with Dallas in this series. As much as I wanted OKC to win, I have to give props to Dallas. Huge props to Dirk for becoming an elite player, and not choking games away. Whoever Dallas faces in the Finals, they better win. Congrats Maverick fans. -

Westbrook playing at his best right now, just what the Thunder needed to stay in this series. -
Kim Kardashian & Kris Humphries Are Engaged

Typically the bride's family takes care of the wedding costs, so Kris should be safe here. -
Here, let me try to explain this better. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Verbal_abuse Is calling someone an idiot more harmful than a punch to the face? No, it isn't. Is verbally abusing someone until they develop severe psychological disorders more harmful than a punch to the face? Yes, it can be. Physical wounds heal relatively quickly, whereas emotional/psychological wounds can take years, even decades to heal. Some people never heal at all.

Mike Brown Next Lakers Coach?
GamerGuy replied to ?QuestionMark?'s topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
Welp, this looks like a dire situation to me. http://nooooooooooooooo.com/ -
We've had members leave because of verbal abuse...and that's with the guidelines in place. No guidelines in place? Couldn't even imagine. And I can prove to you that you can physically harm people through posts. It's happening to me right now. I scrolled back up and read Poe's post again, and trying to compute what he said is causing my head to hurt. Reading his post and trying to make sense of it is literally stressing me out. It's giving me a headache.

Verbal abuse isn't physically harmful to you? Haha, ok. Anyone who's taken a basic psychology class can tell you that verbal abuse is just as, if not more harmful, than physical abuse. Your example of the little girl's reaction is unbelievable. At worst she would cry for a minute? Are you kidding me? This just shows me that you have NO concept of reality. I don't even know what to say to this. Your argument is so completely wrong that it's making my head hurt.
