Andrew Wiggins vs. Julius Randle
Flight replied to Built Ford Tough's topic in High School and JUCO Basketball
I just read up on Wiggins in the latest SI, dude looks like a beast of a 17 year old. Team Canada might actually make the Olympics in 2016 with him and Tristan Thompson, Cory Joseph, Myck Kabongo and maybe even 59 year old Steve Nash. -
Prime time McGrady is probably my favorite player I ever got to watch outside of prime time CP3 in New Orleans. That said, Wade gets the slight edge for his defense. I will say this though. I'd consider peak T-Mac one of the most unguardable players in league history.

Will Barton has also been playing better than advertised. He's increased his point output in each game so far, and currently has 20 points through 3 quarters against the Heat right now.

Blu is too dope. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KAydH4At598

Agreed. He's great defensively, he just needs to start hitting. I'm stoked on Melky. I had expectations of him duplicating his career year last year with the Royals and maybe up his stats a bit in our lineup, but man what a year he's having. Mike Trout is going to win multiple MVPs before he retires. Kid can do it all.

Didn't see that haha thanks for the heads up. Donatas is definitely impressing me in the summer league too, he'll be an interesting guy to watch.

thanks man. moe, the MKG font is called Scrapist from dafont haha
-
I'm thinking about doing one haha I'm just as pumped for him as you guys are. I'd say that his game is a cross between, say, Westbrook/Rose from a driving and finishing standpoint, but he's a much better shooter from the outside than Russ while being a touch less athletic.
-
Who do you guys see winning it? We've got Anthony Davis obviously stepping into a big role right away (and hell be coming off an Olympic gold medal run hopefully), MKG clearly the starter in Charlotte, Beal and Waiters both with an opportunity to score 15+ per night, T Rob looking like a double double machine, and Lillard impressing in the summer league. Then there's the rest of the rookies haha. There are at least 10 guys that have a good chance of being in the running, so who do you see winning it? I'm split between Lillard and MKG as my pick, seeing as Lillard has the chance to average around 15 ppg and hopefully somewhere around 6-7 assists. MKG on the other hand is already charlottes best defender, and on a team lacking scoring outside of Kemba, Henderson and Ben Gordon (not a lethal group by any means) he should have the opportunity to put up at least 10-12 shots per night (assuming he gets 25-30 mpg, which I think is to be expected) and will be arguably their best transition finisher.

2012 Official NBA Draft Discussion Thread
Flight replied to Warren2ThaG's topic in NBA Draft History
Yep. And that and 1 lay in where he hung in the air while he drew contact. Bananas. His body control is up there with guys like rose and Westbrook when he's at the rim. He's not quite as explosive but he can play the part -
2012 Official NBA Draft Discussion Thread
Flight replied to Warren2ThaG's topic in NBA Draft History
I'm changing my mind quickly from what I've seen. Like I said, I love Lillard. Thought we drafted him too high but if he produces, I'm happy. Did anyone see the highlights from today's blazers SL game? -
Haha yeah somewhere on dafont. Not on my comp now but I'll let you know tomorrow what it's called bro. Thanks for the feedback
-
http://i48.tinypic.com/29bof2a.png give me some feedback. haven't attempted a sig in a long time haha kind of threw this together in the last half hour or so. fairly happy with the outcome.

Batum is done with the Trail Blazers
Flight replied to Real Deal's topic in Portland Trail Blazers Team Forum
As a Blazer fan, I'm glad we got Batum back but: 1) I don't care how promising he is, how good of a defender, athlete, and shooter he is, that's too much money for where he's at in his career. 45 mil for 4 years? He's making a little less than LaMarcus. I think Portland ended up spending that on him because, well, we couldn't lure anyone in to Portland so the money had to be spent somewhere. Retaining your second best player is important, but geeze. 2) He obviously isn't happy with the situation. I love Batum, but if his attitude sucks we need to trade him for some value and move on. We're rebuilding 100% and you can't rebuild effectively if people don't buy in to the plan. -
Bledsoe is going to blow up this year. I still think he's the second best PG in that draft behind Wall.
-
Haha I just hate how the article makes it sound like he's practically a Harvard alum now. I really respect all of the professional athletes that ignore the millions they have/will make and continue to get an education.
-
More power to him, but it's a 3 day seminar lol. Not like he's any closer to those 180 credit hours he'll need for graduation haha

Kobe: Stern's Olympic Age Limit Idea 'Stupid'
Flight replied to Sħãlïq™'s topic in General NBA Discussion
Only reason I could even see this going down is if enough owners/gms/coaches complained about injuries. Or if we wanna just be America and prove how badass our under 23 ball players are compared to the rest of the world. In the words of Chris Paul, the olympics are a huge honor and you represent your country. Even for someone of Kobe or LeBrons magnitude that's still probably the highlight of their athletic career to win an olympic gold. -
Blazers' Smith Suffers Concussion
Flight replied to Sħãlïq™'s topic in Portland Trail Blazers Team Forum
Damn. Best of luck to him on his recovery. Nolan might AG a significant role this season if we can't sign any free agents.. -
http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/8161833/report-charlotte-bobcats-agree-ramon-sessions-2-year-deal Got their guy to replace Augustin, and share time with Kemba at point. Charlotte looks like they're actually trying to put together a respectable team next year.
