  1. Was June 23 the best day of sports of the year? Sure, there wasn't a single title game, nothing of major weight on any sport (apart from the World Cup, but advancing out of the group stage on the big scheme of things isn't that major), but we witness some remarkable things today. Landon Donovan's goal in the 91st minute to help the US win the group and advance is the highlight of USA soccer for as long as I've been alive. The Isner tennis match that's still not even finished is tied at 59 games a piece in the 5th set, breaking countless tennis records. Lots of trades and rumors today regarding the NBA and the draft. In baseball, Strasburg throws another gem but loses his first game, 1-0. There was much more in sports today, but those are the biggest notables. I may even be forgetting something on a day like today. Tomorrow should be great too; the end of the tennis match (hopefully), more World Cup play if I'm not mistaken, lots of baseball and other tennis matches, aaaaaaaaaaaaand the NBA DRAFT.
  2. If the Hornets dump salary like this, it'd be Posey, Peja, or Meka. They aren't going to just dump the best PG in the game because he's a spendy contract.
  3. I'm sorry, her facial features are mannish, and she's just not doin it for me. If I'm drunk, or never got to see her in the first place, then yeah I'd hit it. But [expletive].
  4. Virgin alert, possible gay (but if you think about it... gay people never lose their virginity), but that's a dude.
  5. That's disguisting, whatever it is. I'm not racist either, it has nothing to do with her skin color so nobody bring that up. :/ idk if that's a dude or not.
  6. Rondo's a top 5 PG if you consider the future (barely... I mean CP3 and DWill at 1 and 2, Rose I'd say is 3, then Rondo and guys like Westbrook, Evans, and soon to be John Wall among others are fighting for that fifth spot), but CP3 almost won the MVP the year Kobe finally got it. Ever since, the team's been weaker and he's had injuries, but his numbers have gotten better in some areas. He's worth so much more than an aging PP, and even though New Orleans has a SF need and Collison, NO isn't competing for a title next year, and Boston doesn't need to have two of the top 4 or 5 PGs in the league fighting for the ball (only fighting for it to dish, but still). Makes no sense on either side.
  7. I'm just saying that the ceiling of Portland isn't necessarily just making it to the 2nd round.
  8. That's true about Hedo, but as far as trying for a push, I think Portland could have made it further. They have success against LA, and if matched up against them in the second round they could have made a push for a WCF, where anything can happen really.
  9. IMO, Pritchard. Give a shout out to the OKC GM too.
  10. IMO if Toronto can unload Turkey Glue without having to give up anything good, which is what this makes it sound like, then do it.
  11. Damn, Thunder just keep impressing. Now they have 3 picks in succession that could be steals. I wouldn't be surprised to see these picks packaged for a higher pick.
  12. What did I say? If it's not Worldwide Wes, I don't believe it til it's official.
  13. Plus you clear that much more cap space. Not much, but it helps.
  14. Exciting, but if it's not WWW I don't trust it. Ford/Simmons (forget who) said in the mock thing that sources close to him think CP3 will be a Net, likely tomorrow. Interesting... I'd love to see a CP3/T-Will/LeBron/Whoever/Brook lineup... even if the whoever has to be Yi.
  15. IMO draft Bledsoe, he can be either a backup, or even take the reigns over Chalmers. Plus, as far as cheap depth, 2M isn't much to pay for a player of #18s quality.
  16. 16 vs. late 20s is huge. 16 is gong to have someone that slips from the lottery, a guy like Paul George or Ekpe Udoh (not saying Udoh is a good fit here, just a guy that is lottery to most and might fall), where a later pick is also going to have guys that fall, but more along the lines of possibly a Damion James or at best maybe a guy like Eric Bledsoe. Maybe.
  17. ? Apparently New Orleans doesn't want to trade him... idk what else to explain.
  18. +1 for the effort, I really have a hard time watching most WNBA teams but I did see a few games in 07 (I think, that was Diana's rookie year right?), and the Mercury definitely stood out to me.
  19. I'd personally love to see this... I'm not super high on Patterson, and IMO George would need to be taken at 12 more-so than Patterson, but if those were the picks it would add to the young excitement this team can create.
  20. ESPN's ticker had this just now, can't find a source yet but it's not really too surprising. "I don't want to be traded from New Orleans, unless we aren't in a position to win and compete [for a title]." This sounds like Paul, anyone that's seen his work ethic knows he's all about winning and being better, and he loves the city of New Orleans but wants to win a title. New Orleans also supposedly said they aren't interesting in trading him despite offers.
  21. I have a Wii, and I think the classes are different. The ones on there sucked last time I checked, so I made my own (don't remember if I uploaded it).
