I know he's played well and shown promise, but $5 million a year seems like it might be a little bit of a risk. I guess there isn't anyone else out there in FA to give that money to, since everyone either wants more or can't play at Bass' level at PF.

I honestly feel that he deserves a spot. He led the Titans to a Superbowl, they didn't win it but they got there, and he did so about 10 years after he was drafted by the team. That dedication really means something to voters too I think, and the fact that he lifted the Oilers up and made the Titans a respectable franchise makes him noteworthy. His career stats are nice too, he's one of 3 guys to ever throw for 35,000 yards and run for 3,500 (I think that's what the numbers were), with Steve Young and Fran Tarkenton being the only other 2. I say yes.
