  1. The NBA would be a better place if Steve Javie officiated every game. He's the Kobe Bryant of officiating.
  2. Remember this day, it's historic! Peja Stojakovic made a defensive play! An event nobody has ever seen before, and nobody may ever see again!
  3. They tried to run a high post split for Korver or Rose but the guy defending Korver (didn't catch who) and Jones defending Rose both played it perfectly. Noah had to throw it to somebody so he hit Deng. Since the Bulls were going for a three, Boozer was the open player available. Without calling time, it would've taken too many seconds to throw it back to Rose or Korver. Boozer put up a decent shot anyway. What I would've done is called my final timeout once Noah picked up his dribble and nothing opened up. I wouldn't be surprised if super blogger Sebastian Pruiti has a video up on the play in the next few hours.
  4. I'm teasing you for that comment you made in the Kobe fine thread.
  5. But Kenny...the Lakers DO run pick-and-roll occasionally, especially in early offense, when the strong side triangle can't generate a pass to the post, and on a weak-side two-man game out of the triangle with Kobe and the high post big.
  6. On that last play you can't turn yourself around on defense. There's no way you'll get back into a position to contest a shot if you're spinning like a top six feet from the guy.
  7. ohhhhh, Dick Stockton is calling this game? He's awful!
  8. At least you knew the Sixers would be non-competitive. It isn't like last season's Hawks-Magic disaster...

  9. I didn't give him THAT brain...

  10. I'll trade it to you for a brain. I have a Gerald Green disease.

  11. Shawne Williams is a horrendous passer, easily the worst of the Knicks' regulars. Using Jeffries as a passer (JJ wasn't a scoring option on that play. Watch it develop. The Knicks generated a wide open dunk for Walker had Garnett not been a second late rotating to Jeffries. The more I watch the play, the more I realize that D'Antoni is a wizard. Here's a link to the play. http://nbaplaybook.com/2011/04/20/examining-the-knicks-final-possession/
  12. Guys, KG made a defensive mistake on that play that saved the game for Boston. The play isn't designed for Jeffries. The Knicks are expecting KG to rotate and be right behind Jeffries on his left hip. The play was for Walker cutting behind KG who was WIDE OPEN. KG was late covering Jeffries. He's almost never late on a rotation but he was late on the final play. Jeffries assumed KG was going to make that rotation, be right behind him closer to his left hip than he was, and looked immediately to pass. If KG makes his rotation properly, he's closer to Jeffries giving Jeffries more space for a wraparound. If KG's mistake doesn't put him on Jeffries' right hip instead of right behind him, which gave him a good angle to deflect the pass, the play probably goes for a dunk and D'Antoni looks like a genius.
  13. I bet it's Anaconda Malt Liquor...the ONLY malt liquor that's government approved!
  14. That's one of those rare situations where a double foul might be the best call then.
  15. Could be worse...they could be chanting overrated at the Pacers...
  16. If the contact is created by Price sticking out his leg, it's offensive---or at worst a double foul. The Pacers got away with one.
  17. Yeah, that's a bad call by the refs. That should have been an offensive foul. Price stuck his leg out to create contact. No wonder Rose is upset.
  18. Rose has a beef...I think Price kicked his leg out. That should be an offensive if he did.
  19. I'm really glad I've never ran into Foghorn Leghorn at a party...
  20. That's the problem with trapping 35 feet from the hoop. Good passing bigs get to tear the defense up. Clutch shot by Korver.
  21. Finally a pacer rotated on time...and Rose finished through Foster!
