It's not that they want to have Gasol on Paul it's that Gray is setting great screens that the Lakers can't fight over.

At least that time Gasol contested, but Paul is playing great too. Great screens by Gray to shed Kobe to allow Paul to beat Gasol one-on-one. That's the problem of having a bigger defender guard Paul. It's easier for bigger guys to get picked off by screens.

Gasol is so off balance he was moving backwards on that Paul jumper.

Kobe did a good job on Paul. Good help on Jack, Landry can't consistently make those 18 footers.

Jackson is right. You can't give Kobe that much space, especially when he's shooting so well.

If free throw percentage is a key factor in the stat, Bibby has a real low percentage with the Heat while House is shooting 95% even though House hasn't taken many free throws at all this season.

It's hard for me to critique the method without really knowing what the method is. It looks to me like it's possibly something that rates how good players are at creating their own shot while also accommodating free throw rate? But when you see things like Lou Williams being rated better than Manu Ginobili I don't know how much credibility to give the stat.
