  1. The Spurs are getting somewhat makeable shots, they're just bricking them.
  2. Bynum is continuing to obliterate Duncan. People who criticize Bynum for his lack of numbers, JVG is right. He's made two baskets and has been the best player in the game.
  3. Parker made the shot more difficult by trying the reverse, but he does it because he's concerned about the Lakers length.
  4. And Kobe's such in the flow of the game that he can drill a three in Ginobili's face.
  5. This is great to see. Kobe's doing his work away from the ball. He's punishing George Hill thoroughly.
  6. Kobe uses a screen instead of pounding away, gets wide open for an easy shot.
  7. The frontcourt of the Lakers is dominating. You know where this is coming from? Unlike the first two games, Kobe isn't forcing much. This game is totally about the Lakers frontcourt and they've responded. An awful rebounding possession though may give the Spurs some confidence.
  8. Tough shot by Hill .The pass was at his ankles. It caused him to step up and made a possible three-pointer a two-pointer.
  9. And this is why the Spurs are vulnerable in the playoffs. They have trouble on defense and end up in disadvantageous help situations way too often. Duncan isn't getting any faster, Blair isn't getting any taller, and Bonner isn't getting any quicker.
  10. And that Gasol three sequence shows just how important is to be versatile in the triangle. The natural sequence was a bit disrupted but Brown was able to post and draw help, he passed to Odom who backed things out. Since he can drive, the Spurs have to help and Gasol is a decent shooter who can knock in a three.
  11. Hill misses as open jumper, McDyess misses a layup, Hill throws the ball away. Spurs aren't crisp. Obviously they're down by 21, but they were in the flow of things to to start the game. Now their bench is discombobulated.
  12. Then Gasol blocks Duncan, another sign of the Lakers superior length and Duncan's decline. Plus Duncan offers no resistance on a Gasol made jumper.
  13. Parker is having trouble scoring at the basket simply because Bynum and Gasol are too damn long for him to finish over.
  14. Even if the legs are gone, Kobe's still too tall and strong for George Hill down low. He gets a putback on the glass, and a turnaround in the post. Artest is moving well in the triangle, Fisher is hitting shots, the Lakers are incredibly sharp to start. This is peak Lakers we're seeing.
  15. And Bonner makes up for it with a three. Good response. PArker is so good at penetrating he drew three defenders. Fisher is shooting well to start though.
  16. Bonner has to sag off Odom to prevent the drive and Odom just pulls up and hits a three. Will Bonner be able to shoot well enough to compensate for his lack of footspeed on Odom?
  17. Strong drive by Kobe, but also under control. No chance for Ginobili to flop his way to a call.
  18. Great penetration by Ginobili dissecting the Lakers defense.
  19. An astute observation. This is what happens when a player gets older. The legs go.
  20. Good recovery by Bynum. After the first possession, he's been great as Gasol drains a jumper. This is where the Lakers are great. Kobe's missed a few shots but has done a good job distributing, and Gasol and Bynum are dominating on both ends.
  21. And that's where the Spurs make up for their poor frontcourt start. Parker can score at will against Fisher. Fisher's strong, but Parker's too fast for him.
  22. Great, great, great ball movement by the Lakers. They look sharp to start.
