Chandler made the shot, but you know you're scuffling for answer when you're running down screens for Chandler.

Alex Ajinca with the late help, Duncan with a dunk. The Mavs are going to need offense from Ajinca to make up for his poor defense.

Cats, Cavs Discuss Wallace Trade
Erick Blasco replied to Built Ford Tough's topic in Charlotte Hornets Team Forum
He can't shoot, he has no court vision, and he succeeds at basketball by endangering his life on reckless crashes at the basket. He'd be a pretty useful sixth man though. -
This Carmelo trade the Nets are working on makes a ton of sense to solve most of their problems. They'd get major help at the wing, they'd still have Lopez and Humphries as a respectable frontcourt duo, and at the point, they can survive with Farmar. You are right that there won't be too much interest in Harris at the price tag he has, but he's a useful scorer. I just don't think he's any kind of difference making point guard. I'm sure a team like the Bobcats could use a player who could create his own shot the way Harris can. Ultimately, I just hope that people who look at Harris as some great player realize that he's talented, but he's very much a flawed player. In the long term (New Jersey will suffer in the short term without a player to pick up his scoring load), they may be best off shipping him out.

I do have to say Oliver P, that I did laugh at your "Make like a tree and get out of here!"

You combine that with a lack of talent and it eliminates the desire to get better. They've tanked and they've stopped competing just like the Nets stopped competing. There will always be bad teams. Sacramento is a bad team. The Wizards are a bad team. But do they simply give up in games the way this Cavs team does? A lot of these guys are veterans who are used to more success too. There's no incentive for players like Mo Williams and Antawn Jamison to overcome these struggles, especially when those players aren't competitors. I'd be surprised if it got better before it got much worse for Cleveland.

Most Improved Player on each team

Charlotte---Tyrus Thomas has been playing with his head on straight more often than in recent years. Cleveland---I don't know, the entire team has been injured and the veterans have been awful. A team this bad is a special case in that nobody has improved. Dallas---When has Deshawn Stevenson ever shot the ball this well? And he's back to being a good defender. Denver---Ty Lawson keeps getting better every game. Detroit---Austin Daye is learning the NBA and has cracked Detroit's rotation. Indiana---Hibbert Lakers---No youngsters in the rotation, all the veterans are playing as well or worse than what's expected of them. Bucks---Luc Richard Mbah A Moute's defense gets better and better every time I watch him play. New Jersey---Vujacic has played more consistently than he did for the Lakers, but only on offense. New Orleans---Okafor's defense is sturdier than it was last year, which has really given the Hornets a lift. OKC---Ibaka Orlando---J.J. Redick. Remember when people thought he belonged in the D-League? He keeps improving his handle, his passing, and his defense every year. Phoenix---Jared Dudley continues to improve his ability to create his own shot. Sacramento---Jason Thompson is starting to figure things out. Utah---Al Jefferson has learned how to pass, cut, and defend a bit better than he did in Minnesota. Washington---I'll concede Young. -

Most Improved Player on each team
Erick Blasco replied to htownborn's topic in General NBA Discussion
Humphries never had any minutes until very late last season. He's always been a good rebounder. It's the only reason the Nets sprung for him. He's playing the same way he did last year. Only now he has a few more open looks because Devin Harris is healthy. Millsap's never been as reliable at creating his own shot and creating off the dribble. His offensive game is more reliable than it's ever been. I will admit that Young's shooting percentage is higher so he's making some more of his shots, but he's still the same player. -
Most Improved Player on each team
Erick Blasco replied to htownborn's topic in General NBA Discussion
Most of this list is comprised by somebody who looks at numbers and hasn't seen these guys play. Smith and Davis are good ones, but D.J. Augustine still isn't quick, still has trouble penetrating, and still can't defend. His numbers are better because he's starting. Noah I'll give you, he keeps improving his jumper, his defense, and his passing, but what exactly are Daniel Gibson and Tyson Chandler doing that they haven't done before. Arron Afflalo hasn't improved his game, neither has Charlie V. Dorrell Wright and Chuck Hayes yes, but all Brandon Rush does well is shoot. He isn't even the most improved on his team. That has to go to Hibbert or even A.J. Price. Gordon and Conley have improved especially Conley, but Lamar Odom and Shannon Brown have been exactly the same player. Of course Odom's having a career year. He's been starting. I agree with Nitro that Arroyo deserves some credit for Miami, though that's probably by default more than anything. CDR has had what, two good games this season? Beasley is easily Minny's most improved player. He's showing parts of his game he never showed in Miami. Kris Humphries is still the same player. He's just getting more minutes. Same with Bellinelli. These guys haven't improved their games at all. Felton's a good one, you can put Wilson Chandler on that list too. He's never been assertive, he's never had a terrific handle, and he's never been a great shooter, and he's improved all three aspects this season. Westbrook is still exactly the same player. He still can't shoot, he still can't run an offense, and he's all gambles on defense. Bass is a bit better defensively so I'll give you him, and Holliday. Warrick has been so bad that he's fallen out of the rotation in Phoenix. Some improvement. Matthews keeps adding to his game, but Beno Udrih is still the same unathletic mediocre backup he's always been. Manu Ginobili has been taking over games for what 8 years now? DeRozan and Millsap work, but just because Nick Young has an arbitrary 40+ point game on his resume doesn't mean he's not the same iso-oriented, defenseless chucker he's always been. -
His nickname is Uh-Oh Maggetteohs!

Besides Varejao, Parker, and Leon Powe, name me one person on that roster who competes. Find me a tough guy. Someone who plays with guts and moxie and creativity. Gutless teams throw in the towel when they're in over their heads. The way this season has gone, the Cavs should be embarrassed and this roster should be disintegrated as soon as possible.

His basketball IQ is off the charts. Rookies don't come into the league this sharp usually.
-
What do you expect though. Jamison has been one of the most overrated players in the league for a decade. He used to put up empty numbers all over the place but he can't produce against a good defense and neither can Mo Williams. Now that the only player who plays with heart is injured, the Cavs can't produce. They're a disaster.

Yes, that one is another excellent review.

Most disappointing player this season?

Amazon.com has a gallon of Tuscan milk as one of its products you can purchase online. The concept of buying milk on Amazon is so absurd that people usually give joke reviews. One person though came up with one of the most creative parodies I've ever come across. It's absolutely brilliant and has to be shared. http://www.amazon.com/review/RXXPVOUH9NLL3/ref=cm_cr_pr_viewpnt#RXXPVOUH9NLL3
