That's an awful call on Frye.
-
This is one of the smartest offensive games Kobe has played all season.
-
Exactly. Even when he was athletic, he couldn't finish at the basket though. He's always been all flash, no substance. He's always been this bad on defense.
-
Nice offense by the Suns, curl off a Frye screen, Gasol has to help, Frye pops open for a three. Tough play to stop.
-
Just like what the Lakers did in the first half. Set up the Triangle with a weak-side flash or cross screen to get Artest in the post. He's punishing the Suns. This is why the Magic got rid of Carter. This is how he plays against good teams.
-
Artest is too strong for Carter. VC is really hurting the Suns.
-
Not the best pass to shoot off of, it was at Fisher's feet.
-
If you do something like that, Artest would probably take it personally and play with worse effort. That isn't what you want with Artest.
-
Yeah, when they have Bynum and Gasol, it's hard for those guys to zone areas, especially for Gasol this year. Plus the Lakers interior rotations are poor.
-
Bynum's moving very well on defense. This is encouraging for the Lakers moving forward.
-
Bynum has to recognize the double and skip the ball.
-
Gasol posts, draws a double, good pass work, good attack by Kobe, good offense. The Lakers need to shore up their perimeter defense though. Their offense is playing well.
-
Yeah, cause Dudley is out of his mind!
-
I love how Carter jumped past the rebound there allowing Artest to grab the loose ball. Good defense by Nash to bail Phoenix out. Why is Artest shooting a step back jumper though? That's terrible offense.
-
You know Walton played at the U of A when the crowd chants LUUUUUKKKEEEE after he makes a jumper.
-
Carter is giving Phoenix nothing right now.
-
Real good show by Gortat neutralizing the Kobe screen/roll.
-
I love how Kobe's playing on offense. He's making really smart basketball plays. Everything he's doing is within the flow of the offense.
-
Good pass by Gasol. He was off balance and still put that ball on target into Blake's shooting pocket. That's not a good pass, that's a great pass.
-
That's an awful pass by Blake. Where is he going with that pass?
-
That's a bad shot by Brown---there's no need to put up a contested jumper.
-
He'll probably come in the first dead ball after the break. I think the perimeter unit for the Lakers is playing okay.
-
Pietrus messed that play up by not putting up an open three, but there's Dudley with a reverse layup in traffic. This guy can really play. (even though he let Shannon Brown go coast to coast earlier).
-
Good rotation by Odom, forcing Frye to travel.
-
That may have been Shannon's rotation...it's easier for Gasol to run to the corner not the wing.
