Lamar Odom...Hand Down! Man Down!
-
Which is discouraging because the Lakers need him if they want to three-peat.
-
Dudley's providing a nice boost for Phoenix. He's a tough dude that has athleticism and a nice touch on his jumpers. Very useful player.
-
They weren't facing teams playing Phoenix' transition defense.
-
Frye gets posted leading to a Gasol assist and Barnes jumper.
-
Gasol just got split on another screen and it took flawless perimeter rotations to save another three.
-
Gasol is doing a poor job zoning on screens. A better pass by Dragic and the Suns would've had a wide open three. Gasol isn't bringing his A-Game.
-
Odom is torching Frye. Frye didn't box out on a couple of boards and he just missed a jumper. Odom hit a jumper right over him also.
-
Yeah, I rewatched it, Bynum went straight up.
-
I think Kobe's normal rest period is from around the 3 minute mark of the 1st to about the 7 minute mark of the second. It's going to be a fast paced game, might be good to steal an extra minute of rest.
-
How is that not a foul on Bynum?
-
Good show by Bynum on the screen by Nash.
-
I don't mind the Fisher turnover. Let him forcefeed the post to get LA"s bigs going.
-
That's good vision...cross court along the baseline, I didn't know Artest could do that.
-
That's something Gortat does well, he rolls better than Lopez.
-
Good use of the jab to create a half step of separation by Kobe. Some defenders can hang with that, but Hill has to drop step back. Kobe gets too much space for Phoenix to contest his jumper.
-
Kobe gambled to get over a developing screen and got beaten by Hill---but Gasol has to do a better job of staying in front of Hill and not getting destroyed off the dribble. Bad defense by both players.
-
Gasol didn't even bother trying to run out to Lopez. That's lazy.
-
Artest stands still, sets, hits a three. Much better Ron. Good passwork by Kobe and Fisher.
-
Bynum was a little tentative finishing there. He was open but took too much time gathering his bearings and got fouled.
-
I like attacking Carter in the post with Artest. Flash him to the box in the Triangle, let the cutters cut through, and destroy VC one-on-one.
-
Artest has to shoot the ball as soon as he catches it. He's open. He doesn't need to take a step in. He's much better shooting set than he is pulling up.

ESPN staff weighs in on Lakers' troubles

I love Kamentzky's term in one of his answers, "Takeover Radar." That's a phrase that you will see me quickly adopt. -
I don't think I've ever seen a human being cover as much ground on two steps than Ajinca did there.

Amar'e can't help because he has five fouls, Chandler gets beaten, Turkoglu hits a layup. Chandler misses a jumper and that should be the game.
