  1. Not a Knicks fan but Al Harrington changed that team this past week. Sure they went 3-1 with their only loss against Orlando but they also beat two division contenders (also beating portland a day after the week ended). Outside of the percentage KG and Harrington's numbers are pretty similar (Al having better numbers in most categories) as well.
  2. If by playing "really good" you mean putting up a mediocore 11-8 stats then yes, he is playing really good. Greg Oden is a bust and he is especially a bust when you consider the players that came after him. Kevin Durant - 28ppg 7rpg 4apg 2spg Al Horford - 14ppg 10rpg 2apg 2bpg Jeff Green - 15ppg 6rpg 2apg 1spg Joakim Noah - 11ppg 12rpg 3apg 2bpg Thad Young - 15ppg 5rpg 4apg 1spg Al Thornton - 15ppg 4rpg 3apg 1spg Rodney Stuckey - 18ppg 5rpg 5apg 1spg
  3. Id go with Tayshaun Prince over LBJ for the 5 spot. Prince is probably one of the most overlooked players in the NBA as far as IQ goes.
  4. TMac. Reason being.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ceLlz7dOOvY .... those skills.
  5. Yea i am not sure why people say Cole is dropping in draft position. He is the BEST center coming out of college in the draft.
  6. I agree that a player can be considered a bust because of injury, especially younger players. No matter which side of the fence you are on i think it is safe to say that we all agree the biggest part of determining if a player is a bust or not is their development in the NBA. If a player is constantly injured then they cannot properly develop which in turn creates a bust. And there are numerous things that can control the players development that are out of that players control, lets say... coaching staff not training the person properly. While we the fans may not hear of this being the problem for the player, if they did not reach expectations then many people would consider him a bust. This is a terrible example you give because these are two completely different situations. For one if he signed this extension that would mean we would have at least saw 6 years of him and his abilities unhindered in the NBA which as you mentioned got the Heat a title. For two are you talking about a one time injury, not something reoccurring (being injured that is). For three lets consider that he did come out of the injury a completely different man and starting playing worse then Marko Jaric. This would not be a bust (because of reason one), this would be a "should'a been" player AKA Grant Hill, a player who we saw reach franchise player level in the NBA then because of injury could no longer play like his former self. Like it or not that one title Miami won would have been worth a number 1 draft pick. So in order for a player to be considered a bust they must be one because of their own accord? Oden was playing okay basketball on a team that has been improving with or without him. Im not sure why you are comparing the game play of these two guys. When uninjured Oden puts up 11-8 and when uninjured Bynum puts up 20-10. These a huge difference in play there and while they are both bigs who have suffered injuries their play is nothing comparable. Has Oden EVER exceeded expectations? 11-8 average over 18 games in his third seasons... is that exceeding expectations? Is there any reason for us to think that he will really improve or even be healthy enough to improve? I Dunno... i smell a bust bustier then big bust bust. BTW, Kwame Brown put up 11 - 7.5 in his third season in the NBA, much like Oden. See, i hate that people have made Oden out to be something he is not. This started before he even played his first NBA game. People would place him up with the great bigs of this era and consider him an all star and this BS has been going on since after first injury, before draft, after draft, after second injury, after surgery and after third injury. There is absolutely NOTHING this person has done in the NBA to warrant situational comparisons to Wade, Bynum or any other great player that has proven themselves in the NBA.
  7. I think season 4 is turning out to be the second best in the series (after the first of course)and i think we are going to see a major change in the world of Dexter. I personally still think they are going to attempt to follow the novels and do one of two things. 1. Make Astor or Cody a sociopath. 2. Deb finds out Dexter is a serial killer. Any way they decide to go is going to end up as murder for the viewers having to wait for season 5.

  9. - Kobe is at the peak of his prime right now. Which is not surprising or unique, most players peak around 28-31. - Yao's country supports him, who cares. - There are plenty of "Lakers fans" who did not even like the Lakers until Kobe. I cannot speak about all of them, but the majority i have met are very annoying because of their lack of basketball knowledge or lack of logical reasoning.
  10. So... i am not sure where it would go because all these guys had great years on the list, but theres no way i could have a top 10 list like this and not have Jason Kidd on it. There were two seasons in a row where he was 2 rebounds away from averaging a triple double, which is an absolutely amazing statline especially for a PG.
  11. Next news report that we will see about Harden: "James Harden injured while watching espn highlights"
  12. I think its pretty interesting that Brotha Lynch Hung signed with Tech N9ne's record label. Tech's creativity mixed with Lynch's rhyming ability has always worked in the past but now they will be doing whole albums together, this could be a great thing.
  13. ahh Ive been looking for rapidshare links but cant find any, i would upload it myself but honestly im not going to be the guy to upload an unreleased album.
  14. No one will replace Layne but there are a billion ways they could have gone wrong with a band rebuild and i think they managed to avoid most of them. Another thing i really never noticed until this album is that Layne was just a voice. Cantrell IS Alice in Chains, he is the lyricist, the melodious and the soul of this band. I always knew he was about 30% of the equation but after this album i have determined him to be about 80% of what AIC is. Why not? They are a legendary band and clearly people have shown interest.

  16. Cali: 1. Monta Ellis 2. Kobe Bryant 3. Kevin Martin 4. Pau Gasol 5. Andrew Bynum Depth - Lamar Odom, Ron Artest, Nocioni, Spencer Hawes, Stephen Jackson, Andris Biedrins, Corey Maggette, Derick Fisher Coach: Jackson Texas: 1. Jason Kidd 2. Tracy McGrady 3. Richard Jefferson 4. Dirk Nowitzki 5. Tim Duncan Depth - Yao Ming, Manu Ginobili,Tony Parker , Josh Howard, Jason Terry ,Shawn Marion , Michael Finley, Antonio McDyess Coach: Popavic This is a real tough one here and if it was the Clippers over Goldenstate for the Cali team i think they would have the edge, but right now with the rosters i set up the Texas team is just so deep. Who wins the MVP? Dirk Who has the hottest temper? Ron Artest Who has the highest PPG? Dirk Who has the higest RPG? Duncan Who has the highest APG? Kidd Who commits the most turnovers? K-Mart
  17. I think Okafor will do good with the Hornets. He finally locks down a position, on the Bobcats they kept changing him up from PF to Center and he never really developed a full identitiy as a player. Hopefully the Hornets change that. They are still lacking a SG position, and they really need to get Wright some more minutes.
  18. Poor NY fans who actually think this guy is going to end up there in 2010. This would be the worst move for LBJ to make as a player AND the worst move for the Knicks front office. The Knicks will likely have 4 players on the roster that absorb anywhere between 15-25 mill, depending on what happens with Lee. So lets say they end up with 20 total salary, That would leave them with around 37 mill to play with, they sign LBJ to a 20 mill contract and they are down to 17 mill and 10 spots to fill. And lets face it, the Knicks have no one really good on that roster. David Lee is okay but people overrate him because they label him as "the best NYK player" and if the year was 1993 that would be an impressive statement, but in 2009 that means nothing. Which is also why it would be the worst move for LBJ. There are about 4 teams who are almost contenders who can afford what LBJ is asking in 2010 and still have most of their major players (Miami, Portland, Chicago, Jersey)which is a much better situation for Lebron then going to NY just to spend 2 more seasons rebuilding.
  19. R-Jeff to the Spurs. This makes the Spurs a contender for at least four more seasons.
  20. Shaq. 4 titles, two different teams, he affects the league no matter where he goes and automatically turns teams into contenders (as long as he stays healthy). Shaq is the reason that Kobe has 3 rings (before this past season) and the reason Wade has one. He is also one of the most marketable and likable people associated with the NBA.
  21. Durant - Durant is quickly becoming a Grant Hill type player, prior to injury that is. If he can do this to his full potential we will witness someone labeled as one of the greatest to ever play. Roy is a solid pick as well but i just dont think that his ceiling is as high as Durants. I also went with Durant's team as the better in 5 years. Blazers will most likely lose a few of their big names or release them simply because they have too many and we will see the Blazers team actually re-structure themselves. The Thunder will most likely trade or let Green go so they can focus on Durant, Westbrook and Hardens contracts. In that trade they will probably nab up a star PF or Center long term. Or signing a big name and offering Green a contract he probably wont take. But that is how i see it playing out. Hell if OKC could land a big man tomorrow they could be a serious factor in the West and within a year or two making the second round.
  22. I Agree. I've seen this done on a few sites and its never successful or.... well good. Never mind. Count me out. I was expecting FBB.
  23. Trick is to lower player ratings and start around 03 or 04. The main two reasons GMs get crapped out because of a league is... 1. Players ratings go sky high and every team ends up with 5 all stars 2. GMs end up seeing a bunch of made up players and players they do not recognize more often then players they do. Anyway. Im in.
  24. Im going with..... Step 1: Cry Step 2: ...... Step 3: Profits
