LeBron says Heat 'will let our game do the talking'
Nitro replied to Flash's topic in Miami Heat Team Forum
The shirt. Just hilarious to see that, him wearing a LeBron MVP shirt, and then have the balls to say he's not even the best player on his team now (among all the other ridiculous statements he makes about LeBron). -
I agree, but for whatever reason he had a vendetta against Immortal Technique. No idea why. Even though he can get extremely preachy, I.T is one of the best lyracists of all-time. While it is amazing that he turned down major record deals to stay true to his craft and ideaology, I really wish he would open up a bit to get more exposure. Dude is unbelievable... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nipOzADCwOA

LeBron says Heat 'will let our game do the talking'

COMPLETELY unrelated to the topic (sorry Brandon), but I was skimming the member picture topic and came across this pic of Cleveland's Finest and I literally lol'd... http://photos-e.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs139.snc1/5933_242544905295_786850295_7992284_6215542_n.jpg -
LeBron says Heat 'will let our game do the talking'

Joel Anthony? Seriously, LeBron's career playoff averages are 29.3PPG/8.4RPG/7.3APG. He led arguably the worst NBA Finals team...ever. He put up averages of 38/8/8 and had 2 absolutely DOMINATING clutch performances against the Magic in the 2009 ECF, yet those happened to be the only 2 games they won in the series. LeBron's Game 6 against Boston, where you say he "quit", would be considered one of the 5 best games for about 98% of the players in the league. Just stop already. Please. -
Marry me. Here's a pic of me that was taken a little over a year ago, with my dyke ex-gf on the right (she looks like [expletive] in the pic but she's good looking in real life with the proper makeup)... http://i1188.photobucket.com/albums/z404/nitro11181/048.jpg

Most suburbs of major cities are busy. I essentially live in the suburbs of NYC (aka North-East/Central-East NJ), and it is the most populated area of the most densly populated state in the country. Anyway, I'd rather live in the suburbs. Not a huge fan of city life. I like more open roadways, trees/parks, etc...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v2r8kBnGtAU Maybe the best song I've heard from 2010. They both rip it, but Immortal Technique's verse is off the charts.

Part 2. -"Like a bad neighbor, Nitro is there!" No lie, I'm like that convicted sex offender down the street with the pink tricycle sitting out on the front lawn. -Cocaine is a helluva drug...seriously. Copped a 20 piece for the first time in nearly a year. Normally far too expensive for such a short high, but it very fun on occasion. Especially when you mix it with bud, Roxi's and K-pins on a warm Friday night in September. -There's so many damn black people at my college. This one chick in my Developmental Psychology class is probably the darkest-skinned person I've EVER seen. She's literally tar black. She was a tiny bit sweaty during class last week and no joke her body looked EXACTLY like a recently repaved road, before the yellow lines are added. -"Why did Kobe have to hit that raw? Why he kiss that whore?" ~Jadakiss -It appears as though I'm the only one that's kind of upset Don Nelson stepped down as Warriors head coach this week. The team has a ton of firepower, and I really wanted to see Lee play in Nellie's offense. Besides, if you're not going to maximize his offense, and if the tempo is slowed down, his pathetic defense will be exposed even moreso. I really do like the Warriors, though, and hope they can play some winning basketball and generate Curry and Lee some national exposure. -I wonder what Sacha is doing now that he doesn't have OTR as a substitute for, you know, friends....I wonder. -The Boondocks is one of the most underrated TV shows currently on the air. So [expletive]ing funny: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lAzOfVIXA-M -Lays chips are one of the most addictive snacks ever. [expletive] Ruffles. -"You better make ammends cuz I'm the reason that the Earth shakes/Burying your fam like Central American earthquakes" ~Immortal Technique Hope ya'll enjoyed!

I think it really depends on the person. Some people may truly have a genetic disorder that wires them to be attracted to the same sex. However, I'd bet less than 1/4 of the so-called homosexual population actually has that. I think it has a lot more to do with life experience. I'm not saying one event can turn that switch in a person's mind to become homosexual, I think it is a lot more gradual thing. And as I said in my last post, I think a lot of those people really aren't attracted to the same sex, but rather do it for attention or a desperate attempt to find themselves (or go with the trends, as turning gay seems to be a rapidly growing fad). -
Correction.

I believe that we are all naturally wired to be attracted to the opposite sex, but as we progress through our lives things happen that can change that. Personally I think a decent chunk of the homosexual population do it for attention or as a way to "find themselves" (my ex is a prime example). The others truly are attracted to the same sex, but I think that was crafted out of life experience as opposed to what is biologically natural. -

I actually don't think that's so crazy/dumb...at all. The other stuff? Yeah, she's a crazy [expletive]. -

Really hard to say. I'd probably take Chandler at the moment, but I feel Williams has a higher ceiling. Not because of the fact that he's a rookie while Chandler has been around for a few seasons, but I feel Williams is a much better ballhandler/playmaker, a dimension of the game which Chandler just isn't proficient in. Last season Williams was often under-utilized, so the jury is still out on if he can ever take the next step to be an impact player, but I do think he has that talent and ceiling.
-
I suppose, but I still think he is a quality backup, and gives the Rockets much needed insurance for Yao. Without Miller, they have no size behind Yao, which was clearly evident last season. I also think Miller will have a lot more success in Adelman's system than what we saw from him last year. To me that's almost more of a problem than solution. Can Shaq handle being potentially a third-string Center? Can he handle not getting a bunch of touches? If the Celtics hit a rough patch and he isn't being a featured player in that stretch, will he cause problems in the locker-room like he supposedly did last year on the Cavs? I just don't like the Shaq signing. Even if his attitude is in check, I just don't see him being a good fit on that team, both on the court and his willingness to play to the coach's gameplan rather than the Shaq-plan.
-
Very good writeup. I think the Brad Miller signing should be closer to a B because of Yao's injuries and the fact that Miller is one of the best backup C's in the league, and I feel you overrated the Shaq signing (although I completely understand your reasoning...I just feel he's a bad fit). But overall, great job.

What should the Lakers do with Bynum?
Nitro replied to La Bomba's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
Age and very small pool of talented NBA Centers. The Lakers have an All-Star caliber C in Gasol, and a near All-Star level PF in Odom. It makes the Lakers' need for him minimal. For other teams he's attractive and talented enough, especially at his position, to gamble on. Well, duh...if he's gotta miss time he's gotta miss time to recover from surgery. However, it'll mark the 4th season in a row where he'll be missing significant amount of games, and that's no coincidence. And once he recovers from the surgery he'll still be equally as succeptible to those "freak" injuries that always seem to sideline him. You're not getting the point. Yao is absolutely critical to Houston's exposure, especially on the international level. He rakes them in so much cash. That is why, along with being a franchise player, even though he has that stupid 24MPG limit he's still worth to retain. Bynum, however, does nothing to bring LA in money via marketing and it's proven he's not vital to the team's success. That's why trading him makes a ton of sense as opposed to Yao. Two completely different situations... 1) Blazers haven't gone anywhere without him, and don't have the kind of talent to simply fill in the gaps if they trade him away. He's a major piece to their puzzle if they are to ever get over that first round hump. The Lakers meanwhile have essentially needed Bynum putting up Kwame Brown numbers to win championships, and have 3 All-Star near/All-Star starting front court players to fill in the gaps. 2) Blazers are still trying to save face for picking Oden over Durant. I also remember in those days they had Smush, Mihm and Kwame surrounding Kobe/Odom. Now they have Artest, Fisher, Blake, Barnes, and Ratliff helping those two out if Gasol happened to go down. And the chance of one of the NBA's more reliable big men missing a ton of games or the post-season is far, far slimmer than Bynum doing the same. -
Update: Heat will not offer Dampier a contract
Nitro replied to Flash's topic in Miami Heat Team Forum
Guarantee it's because Dampier was out of shape in the workout. Riley is the one guy who, even if he's not the active head coach, does NOT tolerate players showing up fat. If I remember correctly Antoine Walker and James Posey were both suspended by Rileyt the year after they won the title because they failed his underwater bodyfat test. -
What should the Lakers do with Bynum?
Nitro replied to La Bomba's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
Once or even twice it's a coincidence. Three years in a row missing so many games (about to be a fourth) is not just bad luck, and it's really hard to believe he'll pull a Zydrunas Ilgauskas and go from being extremely injury prone over the span of a few year to reliable. Guys with Bynum's size who are injury prone tend to never really get to the point of being reliable. For every season he might play 75+ games, he's just as likely to have 3 seasons of playing 60 or less. His career track record falls in line with that though process. You just said yourself that some of his injuries "weren't his fault" or whatever (which happens a LOT to players with his size, i.e Yao), so how is him missing time early in the season due to surgery related to him missing time mid-season for a different injury? Bynum has averaged roughly 30MPG the last 3 seasons. Cut his minutes down and he's playing 7th/8th man minutes. And like you said, if freak (reoccuring) injuries are the problem, then he is still going to get injured regardless. His injuries for the most part are not a matter of wear and tear, although the decrease in minutes will help his in-game endurance. And much like how I feel about the Yao situation, if a guy with so much trade value can only play 25MPG to potentially (key word) stay healthy, then it 's kind of silly to me to not deal him away. With Yao it is different because he's a franchise player and a marketing God, but with Bynum? Who the Lakers have essentially already won championships without/making limited impact? Trade his [expletive], get quality, reliable players in return. That's a big gamble, because once those other guys decline, if Bynum is still having injury problems then his value will be too low to acquire a great player in return. If they managed that rumored Bynum for Bosh trade over the summer, or the current Bynum for Melo trade, then they'd have very young, WAY more proven talents to continue to keep the Lakers a contender. -
If he signs the extension then that is precisely where he wants to be. If he doesn't sign that extension, the trade will never happen to begin with. All we know is where he absolutely doesn't want to be, and that's Denver.

It'll work pretty well. They won't be as effective as they were with Amare, but they'll adjust and be a mid-seed in the playoffs. I doubt we will see much of Hedo at PF because as opposed to in 2005-2006, they actually have some legit big men to eat up those minutes (Frye, Lopez, Warrick, etc..). Despite Hedo's need to be ball-dominant, I'd expect to see him play a Toronto role rather than Orlando role. He will get his oppertunities to run the offense and make plays, but he'll spend the majority of his time finishing plays off and working off Nash. I think he'll be relatively happy with that, though, as playing with Nash will make his game so much easier and almost every player that has joined the Suns in the Nash-era has had a career year. I mean, even Shaq found the fountain of youth in Phoenix... Basically, he'll fit in just fine.
