Top 3 Players in the NBA at the moment and after next season
Nitro replied to Newman's topic in Player Comparisons
No way is Durant better than CP3. IMO it really isn't even an arguement. -
Will the Celtics be the last team Shaq plays for?
Nitro replied to bigdog17k's topic in Boston Celtics Team Forum
It will be. He wants to play 2 more seasons and it's a 2 year contract. He'll be on a competitive team with title aspirations and he'll be crying for arguably the best basketball city in the NBA. Also, if he found it so hard to find a team that wanted him this off-season, I can't imagine many team would be lining up to trade for him or sign him as a FA in 2012. -
Top 3 Players in the NBA at the moment and after next season
Nitro replied to Newman's topic in Player Comparisons
Same as this season- LeBron, Kobe and Wade in whatever order you prefer. Just because LeBron and Wade won't have the same mind-blowing stats because they have to share the wealth, and just because Kobe won't be the 35PPG scorer he was a few years ago doesn't mean they still won't be the same players of the last few seasons. Just means that they don't need to do as much in the regular season as in the past. My next 3 would be CP3, Howard and either Melo/Durant , in that order. -
It will most certainly get retired in LA. He was a top 10 all-time player with LA, won an MVP and led them to a three-peat. And even though he didn't leave on the greatest terms, he still helped LA acquire some very good players (including Butler who got them Kwame who got them Gasol). Orlando? Probably. Miami? No.

Shaq Says He's Still One Of The NBA's Most Iconic Players

His jumper is honestly the last thing that needs work...last season he shot better from 3 than he did the field, and according to 82games.com he shot 2% EFG better on jumpers than on close shots. That's horrible. He needs to hit the weight room because 37% shooting overall just isn't gonna cut it. Anyway, I expect his stats to go down next season, except maybe FG % and assists. After the Salmons trade last season his scoring went down to roughly 13PPG, assists went down to about 5APG, and his FG % stayed the same. I'd like to think his efficiency and assists will go up this year with all the extra help, but I really don't know. Until he can effectively collapse defenses and be a threat around the rim, it's going to be hard for him to be a really good playmaking PG.

What do you honestly expect when James returns?
Nitro replied to Real Deal's topic in Cleveland Cavaliers Team Forum
Oh it's going to be MUCH worse than T-Mac going back to Orlando. T-Mac wasn't drafted by the Magic, was only there for 4 years, didn't have as much success as LeBron (from both an individual and team standpoint) and was traded away as opposed to having a "Decision" to leave via free agency. Also, the Magic had made the NBA Finals just 5 years prior to T-Mac's arrival, as well as a few very successful seasons. The Cavs did nothing the 10 years prior to LeBron's arrival, and had never reached the Finals before the LeBron years. I expect a reaction closer to VC's return to Toronto, and honestly VC deserved more of a lashing by his fans than LeBron does. However, I expect an even stronger reaction when LeBron returns to Cleveland just because of how many more MVP's, championships and other things the city could have experienced had he stayed. VC was never close to the player LeBron is, and that makes his departure so much more bitter. -
Good for the regular season, but for the playoffs? Meh. If Perkins is healthy for the post-season Shaq will be the 3rd string Center and I can't see that going over so well. And even though he gives the Celtics a post presence, their amazing defense is going to take a big hit when he's on the court. That's why the JO signing from a basketball standpoint was perfect because he's still a very good defender who can defend legit post players as well as make quick rotations on the PNR. Shaq will have a much harder time with that. Then again, he's another big body who can score efficiently. And he's signing for the vet minimum.

What do you honestly expect when James returns?
Nitro replied to Real Deal's topic in Cleveland Cavaliers Team Forum
^Ha me neither. I'm pretty sure he dropped like 49 a year or two ago against the Knicks at the Q, though. Anyway, I expect things to be thrown, boos EVERY time he touches the ball, vulgar chants, things to be thrown at the bus after the game ala Lakers-Celtics 2008, and LeBron to be too hyped up and have a below-average game. Either that, or he won't even be in the building at all. I'd also say there's an outside chance at least one person runs out onto the court/tunnel and tries something stupid. Going to be great. -
Haha this just replaced my last D-Wade wallpaper, also made by you (the blue tinted All-Star one). Sick, sick work.

If your girlfriend cheated on you...
Nitro replied to kingfish's topic in Off-Topic Discussion Forum
Why would she cheat on you if she still had a high level of interest in you? -
It does, and I know. Anyway, I had the test today and they [expletive]ing COTTON SWABBED ME! I stayed up all god damn night, drank so much water and crap that I puked an hour before the test, got to the test with a full bladder and they didn't even give me a urine test. However, the swab test works in my favor because it can only detect THC in your system if you smoked about within a week of the test. Think I'll be fine. Next appointment, assuming I didn't fail the test, is April 7th (which is a very, very long time...I was stunned).

I broke up with her before she started going out with her dyke buddy. Anyway, yes I'd be pissed if it was behind my back and not in front of or with me. Same action as if she cheated on me with a guy, minus the penis. -
I hate Tim Westwood so much, that was great.

Ha, got to #600 before A-Rod :glasses:

LeBron thanks the city of Akron
Nitro replied to magicbalala245's topic in Cleveland Cavaliers Team Forum
Agreed, although I don't think more than a few would be stupid and drunk enough to actually run on the court. But there are those people out there, and it's going to be a big concern when they do come to town. -
LeBron thanks the city of Akron
Nitro replied to magicbalala245's topic in Cleveland Cavaliers Team Forum
I wouldn't be surprised. My point was that an entire city hates LeBron with all their hearts right now, and it's naive to think a fan wouldn't go onto the court to try an attack. I'm sure there will be extra security for when the Heat come to town, but it's going to be a CRAZY day at the Q. -
If you read my post you'd realize abstinence is futile at this point. No help whatsoever. To go with a similar analogy to yours, it's like me asking where I should hide a gun after I killed someone, and you responding, "Don't kill someone and you wouldn't have to hide the gun." No [expletive].

We know what it is being from the NJ/NY area. As for everyone calling me an idiot for smoking 2 weeks ago or whatever, you have NO idea wtf I've gone through in my life, why I make the decisions I do, etc... This thread was made to hear some helpful tips to pass a drug test for someone in my position, not to hear a bunch of whiney D.A.R.E [expletive]es preaching to me. I know it wasn't a smart move to smoke 2 weeks ago, and I acknowledged that to start the topic off. Reiterating that point over and over again while giving useless information to someone in my situation is pointless and annoying. And if you think this topic is pointless and annoying, ignore it. Don't litter it with a bunch of bull[expletive].

I was considering that, but the issue is I just moved to a new town a month or so ago and don't know anyone in the neighborhood. All my friends are about 30min away and I don't have access to a car anymore. And 95% of my friends would give me piss that's neon green from the amount of THC, anyway.
-
Very helpful. Thank you very much, I did not know that. I am very sorry for the inconvenience. Prick.

So tomorrow I have probation for the first time and am likely going to be tested. Like the dip[expletive] I am I blazed about 2 weeks ago, and blew a few OC's 2.5 days ago. I'm not concerned about the OC's as they should be out of my system by tomorrow, but the weed is a problem. I have done a LOT of research on how to beat this thing, and here is my gameplan so far... -Wake up 4 hours prior and start drinking some water. -Around 3 hours prior, I will take my first detox drink that I bought at Vitamin Shoppe. -I will drink 2 glasses of water after that, one with Creatine (so the test doesn't come back as invalid because they can tell if you have diluted your urine by low creatine levels) -At that time, I will start popping Vitamin B12's to get my urine nice and yellow -Also at that time I will pop 4 aspirin. Supposedly it helps on the zero gravity part of the test, which also can detect if the piss has been diluted. -Around 1.5 hours before the test, I will take my 2nd detox drink. -After that, I will drink 32oz of water as instructed on the bottle over 20-30min. One glass I might spike with some more creatine. -Once again, pop some Vitamin B12's. -Piss my brains out before the test. By the time I get there I will have to probably piss again. I will continue to drink 3-4oz of water on the ride there. That's what I got so far. Any other helpful suggestions?

Should the Cavs retire #23 for LeBron?
Nitro replied to Real Deal's topic in Cleveland Cavaliers Team Forum
First off, the organization should have done what THEY thought was best for the team. In the entire 7 seasons the best player they got was a 34 year old Antawn Jamison for half a season. Just because LeBron "signed off" on Jamison doesn't mean he didn't think Amare was the better choice. Find me a source where James chose Jamison over Amare and you may have a case. Regardless, even if he did choose Jamison over Amare, the Cavs shouldn't have done it. They should have taken the younger, better player. You can't blame James for GM and ownership decisions. Afterall, it was their choice to give James as much say as he supposedly had. Secondly, give me a primadona top 20 all-time player over a loyal, respectful All-Star anyday. An LBJ player may leave a sour taste in your mouth when it's all said and done, but in the time he was on the team you got as good a 7 years as any non-Lakers/Celtics/Spurs/Bulls/Rockets/Pistons franchise has gotten over the last 20-30 seasons. You got to experience a Finals appearance, multiple 60+ win seasons, 2 MVP awards, sold out arenas, excitements, national exposure, etc... You got a once in a generation talent and got to watch him grow as a player and carry the franchise to places never before seen. Because of that, it's so hard to lose him, and the other stuff he did is just gravy. However, at least you got to have those 7 years of fun...teams like the Grizlies, Wolves, and PLENTY others have never had that kind of oppertunity. Therefor, you should appreciate what you had. -
Should the Cavs retire #23 for LeBron?
Nitro replied to Real Deal's topic in Cleveland Cavaliers Team Forum
And they would have probably left too if the Cavs gave them as much average talent as LeBron had. Why should you guys appreciate what LeBron did? Because he gave your franchise the best 7 years of its existence and gave it hope. Even though it didn't work out in the end, it's all about the journey. And he gave Cleveland a helluva run. Even though he didn't fulfill his potential necessarily and was a crappy human being, give me a 30/8/8 guy who's a ton of fun to watch and keeps his team a contender over an average (or above average) All-Star who couldn't have done as much as LeBron did with that team. Anyway, they SHOULD retire LeBron's number, but I doubt it happens.
