  1. What I said in my last post was that the Melo Nuggets were NOT an iso-oriented offense. Melo got his touches, but they didn't OD on it like the Knicks did last year when Lin wasn't running the show. The Nuggets offense was much like the Knicks offense with Amare, pre-Melo...Amare got many iso touches, but the offense was built around ball-movement and dribble penetration. They always under-performed, especially on the offensive side.
  2. Just because it worked in April with Melo going nuts every night does NOT mean the Woodson offense was better than the D'Antoni offense which had more team ball-movement...the reason Woodson worked better as coach was because of his emphasis on defense. A Melo offense ain't gonna win you shit, and will completely negate Amare's impact totally since he will NEVER be an elite defender or rebounder. Real Deal had it right when talking about Kidd...he will orchestrate the offense and limit Melo's touches and work to get everyone else good shots in their sweet spots. That doesn't mean he will eliminate Melo completely, and Melo will still have plenty nights where he drops over 30+. That is how you win with Melo...his time with Denver proved that. As for Felton, Knicks fans are looking too much at his great streak of games to start that season, and not what he did after that. Knicks fans were KILLING him the last month or two before the Melo trade, and he was awful with Portland. Now that Felton will have to play in a worse system for PG's as opposed to the D'Antoni offense which is perfect for PG's, it is definitely a huge question mark as to whether he will perform. Of course he will be a thousand times better than the Knicks had last season before Lin emerged, but he definitely ain't a long-term answer if they want to be a contender.
  3. They have been doing tests recently to mimic the 'Big Bang', and I believe were close to successful (or successful to some degree). I'd say that is a massive advancement. And considering all the progression we've made in the last 100 years or so in science, I think it's safe to assume in 500 years we'll have a much better understanding of what created the universe.
  4. According to something on RealGM right now (not interested in going back), Cleveland is not on Bynum's 'list', I think according to his agent. Not sure, go on there and check it out, I'm feeling far too lazy today...
  5. 2003 had a once in a generation player(LeBron), another HoF'r (Wade), another superstar (Melo), and a perrenial All-Star (Bosh). Add in those other guys that RD mentioned (Kaman, West, Williams, Diaw, Howard, Barbosa were all very close to All-Star status at one point, and some were infact All-Stars), and 2003 takes it for me. I'll take ridiculous top-heaviness over depth anyday.
  6. It's puzzling to everyone lol. But I don't believe there was a "designer" involved, or at least a conscience one. I believe that there was some kind of energy that started everything. How that energy came to be from nothing, and how were the elements of that energy produced...no idea. There are some hypothesis out there, but it's something we may never know. However, I feel after that energy was released and the universes were formed, I think everything after that was evolution. As different events kept happening, forms of life had to adapt and change to their environments in order to live, and that chain of actions is how I believe humans came to develop to what we are today. BTW, there was a planet as close to Earth as we've ever seen discovered recently (few months ago). Everything except the temperature (which was like 150 degrees or something) was on par with Earth. There are so many galaxies and shit that we haven't closely analyzed...I fimrly believe there are many planets with different kinds of species', and probably a few with species that have a conscience and intelligence similar to humans.
  7. There's plenty of guys who make double what he does who have those kinds of bad scoring streaks. And I've seen JR go on crazy scoring streaks. That ability alone is worth more than $5M per year IMO. Throw in the other stuff he does decently, and I think he's a $7-8M per year player.
  8. Of course he's underpaid. He's supremely talented, an explosive scorer who can go off for 30-40 on any given night, and he's solid in multiple facets of the game. His attitude sucks, but on any given night he can be the spark that nearly single-handedly wins you a game. That is worth more than $2.5 million per year.
  9. Wizards did a nice job clearing out the dumbasses around Wall (Young, Blatche, McGee). Now Wall can finally start to develop. And honestly, besides Blatche, who has an awful work ethic/attitude and overrated physical talent, those other guys they got rid of do have places and roles they can succeed in. Just not with Washington.

  11. Maybe a little over-priced, but I'm a big Humphries fan. Awesome rebounder, decent defender, and last year he showed he has a pretty damn good face-up game. He definitely is a huge addition to a really strong starting 5.
  12. Lin struggling against the Heat like he did is a big red flag, but he shouldn't be crucified for it. The Heat made kinda made Rose look like a scrub in the 2011 ECF, the MVP, so to expect a guy in his 10th start or so to put up a strong performance against them is asking a little much. However, what hurts Lin is the fact that he only had a sensational 10-15 games, and maybe another 5 solid performances. How much should that weigh over the fact that he didn't impress scouts enough in college to be drafted, and he was a bench warmer for the majority of his NBA career? Mix in the fact that he succeeded in as PG-friendly system that you'll find with D'Antoni, and turned the ball over at an incredible rate and doesn't have exceptional physical attributes...he is still a HUGE question mark. From a basketball standpoint, the overall scope of his career doesn't warrant the contract he is getting, especially since the 3rd year of his contract is so ridiculous and would destroy the Knicks' financially. He might be worth that risk, but if you put the "Linsanity" stretch of games aside, which was overblown since it happened in NY and at a time where NY looked like they were gonna miss the playoffs, it doesn't look like he will be.

Yo brotha I got a request when you get the chance. I want a Nas sig from his Stillmatic era, maybe with the text "I [expletive] with your soul like Ether" or something along those lines. I want it to be kind of a smooth looking sig, not too rough, but at the same time be a little aggressive. I want it to be black with either a bright green tone/text (almost neon), or a baby bluish tone/text. If you decide to make it I'd be very grateful. EDIT- Actually, I'd love a text with "Blood of a slave, heart of a king" instead of the Ether line.
  14. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uA_9pU--lsA Never heard this before. Nas takes a shot at BIG with the last line "Take the crown off the so-called king of the town and lock it down." Sick remix.
  15. Here's the thing- Starting next year, under the new CBA, teams in the luxory tax can't make sign and trades, and won't have the full MLE. This makes building a contender nearly impossible for the Knicks, so 4 players alone pushing the Knicks over the tax isn't exactly a smart decision even with Dolan's deep pockets. I said it on the last page, the notion of over-spending doesn't work that well in a cap system, especially one as strict as the new CBA.
  16. Crop signs always fascinated me, especially ones as intricate as that pyramid one. Even if they are hoaxes, that takes a lot of skill to do that perfectly detailed. And Lkr gets a +1 for the Robot Chicken reference.
  17. Shit happens. Still my favorite Net of all-time.
  18. Darko cleared waivers, so he should be the guy Miami goes after. If he get signed somewhere else, then Oden could be a project they take a chance on.
  19. Exactly what LA and Chicago need. Gives LA some athleticism and firepower at the wing position (finally), and gives Chicago another guy beside Rose who can occasionally create his own offense as well as drain the 3.
  20. Kidd's still a pretty damn good defender when he's not matched up with a really quick PG. He still does a solid job on most SG's.
  21. That's a government issue, and unless you believe the government is ran by the free-masons (no proof of this at all), then I don't see how you put this train of thought together. In order for this to be a free-mason issue, then you have to believe all 3 branches are primarily owned by the free-masons, as well as every state and county. I think this is naive and a huge reach since there is 0 proof of this. Things like the 9/11 consperacy are more likely to be the work of a secretive society, IMO. Even that is more based off belief than undisputable fact.
  22. Marriage has major religious ties. Civil marriage is the acknowledgement of a couple from the legal side, and I didn't word my last post correctly at all. However, I feel when you use the term "marriage," it causes all those crazy religious groups to have fits and that is why there is so much backlash over gay marriage. I feel if you put a different title on it, the whole situation wouldn't be as controversial as it is, and yet gay couples would still be legally bonded and would have all the benefits that married couples do.
