I could be wrong, but I believe ESPN said teams were 0-55 since 1979 trying to accomplish the feat. What really made this win streak impressive is how they beat all 3 teams in dominant fashion, with 2 of those teams comfortably sitting in the playoff picture, and the Bucks beating the Heat twice earlier this season and being a fringe playoff team.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg should be fired ASAP
Nitro replied to Flash's topic in Off-Topic Discussion Forum
It's definitely a little odd considering her job is to uphold the constitution, but I don't think she should be fired over it. I mean, when I work for a company there are plenty of things I disagree with and things that I feel should be ran differently, but that doesn't mean I am not comptetent at completing tasks in the way I was hired to do so. -
This is why marriage and how the government views marriage is just ridiculous. Getting half of someone's earnings just because is the stupidest [expletive]ing shit ever. I can imagine a decent amount of money to raise his child, and a fair amount for all the years her lazy ass sat on the leather couch in her giant ass mansion probably getting it on with the pool boy while Kobe was hitting game winners on the road....but HALF?!? [expletive] BITCHES THEY ARE ALL [expletive]ING CUNTS I HOPE THIS BITCH GETS RAPED BY NIKOLA PEKOVIC AND THROWN IN A DITCH SOMEWHERE IN RUSSIA!!!!

Replace McGrady in Houston with LeBron from '04-'09
Nitro replied to Lightning28's topic in Player Comparisons
If Yao was healthy, the Rockets get a higher seed in both 2007 and 2008, and they get past the first round both of those seasons IMO. And why re-write history? Yao's injuries were a major reason those Rockets always falled short and were a disappointment. And once again, T-Mac and Yao had garbage around them until 2008, and were on a 22 game winning streak when Yao went down for the season midway through. T-Mac was the best player on the team and besides Kobe, LeBron and Wade was THE BEST all-around offensive wing in the league in the mid '00's. Explosive 25PPG scorer who had every move in his arsenal and had 30ft range, amazing and efficient ballhandler, and had some of the best court vision and passing ability in the league. He also dominated pretty much every playoff series he played in with the Rockets, while Yao couldn't stay on the floor in the 2005 playoffs, got PUNKED by Carlos Boozer defensively (because he wasn't able to defend Okur) and got PUNKED by Okur offensively, and then in 2008 couldn't even play the series due to injury and that was the very best cast of surrounding T-Mac/Yao before T-Mac had microfracture and his career as a star pretty much ended. Blaming T-Mac for those Rockets' failures is so misguided and wrong. Check the records of when T-Mac was out between 2004-2008, and then check the records when Yao was out those same seasons. T-Mac always kept them in contention without Yao and with Rafer [expletive]ing Alston as his 2nd option, while the team flopped without T-Mac. He was the best, most important player on those teams. -
J.R. Smith, Gilbert Arenas talking to Lakers
Nitro replied to Art's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
Obviously Smith is the younger, more proven and better fit for the Lakers, but personally I think they should get either (or both) without hesitation. I truly believe Arenas still has a little bit left in the tank and can give them some (streaky) firepower off the bench that none of their backcourt besides Kobe can provide. -
I'd put my money on Anthony Morrow. And personally I think Mike Miller should be in it over Chalmers, even though he missed a good portion of the season. Seeing him in person, I've never seen anyone be as automatic in shootaround from 3 as Miller was.

It's funny, the only thing Lin does really well naturally is pass off the PnR (he's exceptional there). That is his only special, above average skill. However, the way he plays is very deceptive, and as a result he gets to the rim time and time again going right, which the scouting report has to say you needa deny. That opens up the rest of his game, and he seems to take advantage of every single opportunity he is given. This makes me a little weary of him going forward, but also encouraged. The Raptors seemed to have a lot of success doubling him on the PnR, but it also opened up the offense later when he swinged it to guys like Shumpert and Fields on the trap. I am very curious to see how Lin handles a team like the Bulls or Heat, who will not allow many drives to the rim, and who defend the PnR exceptionally well. I want to see how he counteracts the defense now that teams are gameplanning for him. So far, so good.

LMAO who really didn't see that coming?

Will these players be top 10 all time when they're done?
Nitro replied to kingfish's topic in General NBA Discussion
The one where you never responded and I got like 5 reps for. Make me look foolish. Please. Explain why Kobe>MJ. Be specific. BTW, nice job avoiding my post that, you know, was backed up by fact and reason. EDIT- If you were too lazy to look, below is the post I made in the "MJ is over-rated" topic that you never responded to. -
Where do you think Kobe ranks in the all-time list?
Nitro replied to Lightning28's topic in Player Comparisons
It didn't really warrant a response, I said my peace and everything you responded with was small nit-picking (Kobe not being top 3 in 04-05 due to injuries, All-NBA teams and whatnot not holding much weight...I used both points purely to show longevity, that's it). If you were in blatant disagreement with anything I said, I'd have a rebuttal, but that wasn't the case. -
I got a broken heart. -_-

The Heat guy is awful, plain and simple. So irritating. I like the Lakers guy, even if he's monotone. Pistons and Knicks PA accouncers are also among my favorites. The Hornets and Hawks guys are awful, especially when the teams hit 3's.

But yes, I know, thoughtful reasoning and statistics are beyond your mental capacity, hence why you never responded to my post in the MJ vs. Kobe topic, so I don't expect much more than a "But Wade is a [expletive]" response. -
Or Boris Diaw. http://cdn.bleacherreport.net/images_root/images/photos/001/523/271/136647163_crop_650x440.jpg

Poor excuse. He still averaged 40PPG on ridiculous shooting percentages, made game-saving defensive plays, and was the catalyst for prior series' (like averaging 27PPG on over 60% shooting against the Big Ben Pistons). Any way you slice it, he didn't ride Shaq's coat-tails. Wade was the #1 guy on that team the entire season and throughout the playoffs. After Shaq's injury in 04-05, he was never the same. And Wade being in a wheelchair one time has anything to do with this topic? One championship. One Finals MVP. Career 25/6/5/2/1 averages on 49% shooting. Career playoff averages of 26/6/6 on 48% shooting. 8 straight ASG's and counting. Been on All-NBA teams 6x and counting. Multiple All-Defensive selections. One scoring title. One of only 3 guards to register a 30PER for an entire season (MJ and T-Mac the only others to do that). And he's only 30. He's already a top 30 player IMO. A few more years of elite basketball and he'll definitely be top 20. -
I don't think the Clippers have made the Heat more likeable. I think they just took away some of the attention, and since it's been awhile since the Decision, I feel the hate for LeBron has eased up a bit.

Nitro replied to kingfish's topic in General NBA Discussion
You mean the Shaq that averaged 13PPG in the NBA Finals that season? Yep, Wade completely rode his coat-tails. And it's funny you mention the wheelchair thing when Pierce did the same thing. The difference? Wade spent the next month and a half on the bench in a suit, while Pierce was playing 10min later. -

I'm a firm believer LeBron wll make it by the time his career's over. The others, not so much. For Wade, injuries before LeBron came ruined his chances of duplicating the top 10 all-time type season he had in 08-09, and now with LeBron he simply doesn't have to do as much. He'll probably end up top 20, though. With Durant, it's still early to say, but I don't think he has the all-around skillset to be anything but a borderline top 20 guy. Dwight can end up cracking the top 20, but his positioning depends on his role and success with his new team. CP3 will problem end up in the same area as Stockton. -
Where do you think Kobe ranks in the all-time list?
Nitro replied to Lightning28's topic in Player Comparisons
IMO no. Bird was decisively more dominant at his peak IMO. -
I remember you.

Seen this before. I gotta be honest, while he came off inteligent, his mannerisms seemed pretty gay.

Where do you think Kobe ranks in the all-time list?
Nitro replied to Lightning28's topic in Player Comparisons
Duncan did have amazing longevity, but not quite the same as Kobe's. I felt Duncan was around a top 3 player from 98-07, while Kobe has been from 00-present, and currently he is having one of the best individual seasons of his career and doesn't look to be slowing down much. Kobe has had a longer string of All-NBA 1st team selections and All-NBA Defensive selections. Kobe is about to be play in his 14th ASG, where as Duncan's streak ends this year (and Kobe will have 2 more All-Star starts). Kobe has stayed playing 35-40MPG for the last 14 seasons while Pop has needed to cut Duncan's minutes by around 10 minutes from when he was at his peak. All of Duncan's top 3 finishes in MVP voting came from 98-04, while Kobe's came from 02-10 and he is likely to finish top 3 this season. As I said, Duncan's longevity has been amazing, but Kobe's has been even better. As for accolades and accomplishments, right now they are nearly dead-even. Duncan has one more MVP and Finals MVP, while Kobe has one more championships and a few more All-NBA and All-Star selections, and 2 more scoring titles. The difference right now is that Kobe's accolades and accomplishments keep growing, with another scoring title and All-NBA 1st team selection likely to be added this season, while Duncan's pretty much done with the individual accomplishments. At their peaks, I felt Duncan was the slightly better player. He was an incredible post player who could give you 25PPG, was an unbelievable defender, great passer out of the post, and sensational rebounder. He simply impacted the game on a greater scale than Kobe. However, I feel his peak as that dominant #1 guy lasted less than Kobe's. For a decade now Kobe has been one of the very few players who can truly carry a team on his back by giving you 30PPG on solid efficiency (his TS% is almost always better than Duncan's, FWIW), can be the primary ballhandler and facilitate the offense while giving you 5-6APG, is one of the best rebounders at his position, can play lockdown defense when focused, and the one thing he could do that Duncan always needed guys like Ginobili for is he can be a guy you can give him the ball anywhere on the floor in clutch situations and have him consistently make a play. He also has been a tremendous leader, incredibly consistent, and gives you 40MPG if you need it (definitely a knock on Duncan when comparing him to Kobe). Overall, I just feel Kobe's longevity, both in the scope of his career and his peak, was more impressive than Duncan's, and they were close enough at their peaks to where that is the deal-breaker for me. -
Lakers Supporting Cast: Just How Bad Are They?
Nitro replied to Built Ford Tough's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
They look worse than they are because the team has no true PG and that supporting cast isn't athletic or explosive, which compounds the fact that Kobe/Gasol/Bynum aren't athletic or explosive. It's just a really ugly mix of players.
