  1. So, does anyone remember that girl I was telling ya'll about awhile ago that turned lesbo after she and I broke up? Well, evidently she turned back to guys and is now pregnant...lmao. Teen moms FTL I hope she has a miscarriage and it breaks her spirit so bad she jumps off the GWB.
  2. Brook: "Amare won't do this for you in New York." Melo: "Hmmm...maybe I am like Bosh after all!"
  3. I appreciate the articles you post, but what's with your obsession with LeBron?
  4. Eh, I disagree...one game is sufficient. Even though it was an extremely stupid foul, it wasn't particularly malicious. It's just that when someone is going for a dunk, with their bodies up in the air and eyes aimed at the rim (which takes away your balance), it is made dangerous. Still, I don't think he was trying to hurt him, it simply looked like a frustration foul that was a bit out of hand.
  5. This. Basically, they just don't have the talent, depth or experience to compete in a 7-game series against any of the first round opponents they'd face in the post-season.
  6. Heat. Raptors are still on there way to about 25-30 wins, and out of playoff reach. Right now the Heat are playing .500 basketball with 2 of the top 3 players in the NBA, and 3 of the top 20. If the season ended today, there would be a decent chance the Heat would be knocked out in the first round, while the Raptors would be in the lottery just as expected. Therefor, the Heat are a bigger surprise.
  7. I want to see Brown when he cools off a bit, and see how he adjusts his game. Right now, Brown is clearly playing superior basketball. I do feel JR is probably more talented, and he is a better passer and slightly better defender, but right now Brown is plain stroking it from deep. With this new-found confidence, will he go the JR route and keep jacking up 3pt shots when he's ice cold in the near-future? That's the situation I'm looking for before I can fairly judge Brown's play.
  8. Jameer torched the Heat, especially in those last few minutes. Every single game PG's are getting into the paint at will, and when you continuously force Z to help, he's doesn't have the quickness to recover if a dish is made to whoever he's defending. When Joel is in the game, it leads to a ton of offensive boards and 2nd chance opportunities. Arroyo and House are simply awful defensively. Howard was impressive tonight, absolutely loved the 15ft banked shot from the left wing to start off the 2nd half...why he can't use that same follow through on his FT's instead of that stupid "flick" is beyond me. But, his offensive game continues to improve, even though it's coming slowly. As I said in the MVP topic, he's having the best offensive season of his career so far, and as he keeps putting it together he's going to cause the league nightmare. Lastly, the Heat need to move a little bit away from the Bron-centric offense, and give Wade more of offensive responsibility. The only point in the entire game he played like the D-Wade I know is when Bron was on the bench and he sparked the run that put the Heat up by 1pt. The funny thing is when LeBron was out of the game he was moving off-ball a LOT more, and generally being a lot more active. When LeBron is running the point, he just stands there. I think Spo should really implement more plays with off-ball motion to get Wade going.
  9. It's all about his attitude. If he's committed to getting better and fully adapting his skills to the NBA game, he does have great potential. Unfortunately, when you are picked above Melo, Wade, Bosh and a number of other players from one of the best draft classes in NBA history, you're always going to be looked at as a bust until you are a full-fledged all-star. Hopefully he continues his recent success, because he does have some polished offensive talent and very good defensive ability.
  10. I don't remember how many inches exactly. But I went from just touching backboard to getting rim in a few months, and my speed also increased. I'd expect it to take a few weeks to start getting results, and a few months for it to start getting really noticeable when you're playing in games.
  11. Looking pretty good! He looks a LOT thinner than he has in recent years, and it appears that he's getting some confidence back. I still have yet to see a Pistons game this season, but I've been following them via box scores and the RealGM Pistons board, but it seems like he just is being way too passive. I think if he stays healthy and continues his improvement, he could be a nice 6th-8th man on a contender by next season.
  12. Game 7 was a 40pt blowout. And don't forget those first two games T-Mac played out of his mind, including hitting the GW shot in Game 2 with about 2 seconds left. In Game 3, he had 28/9/6 on 10-23 shooting. In Game 4, he had 36/6/5 on 13-26 shooting...both games were losses. That series the Rockets were the underdogs and were missing their 3rd or 4th best player, Juwan Howard, the entire series. Once again, T-Mac played out of his mind the first few games to give his team a fighting chance against the #1 seed in the East. Then the Pistons switched Prince over to T-Mac in Game 3 or 4, and like Kobe a year later, it gave T-Mac problems. However, he still had 37/11/5 in Game 6, but his team still lost. Way to ignore his Game 7, where he had 29pts/13ast/5reb, just 2 TO's, and shot 12-25 from the field. Or the following year in the series-deciding Game 6 where he dropped 40/10/5 on 13-26 shooting and his team was still blown out. T-Mac was a streak scorer, so yes, he would have bad games here and there. But he still filled up the stat sheet in other places, still managed to get his points, and always kept his teams in the series. Teammates. Period. I can pull out a number of series' from Kobe, AI, Pierce, Wade and others where they played about average, or below average (including in series clinching games) and still won the series. T-Mac wasn't perfect, but he still played well in every series he's been in. Put Fisher on those Magic and Rockets teams and they don't even sniff the playoffs.
  13. Ok, this is one area I am useful in. Back in middle school/early high school I was obsessed with increasing my vertical jump and bought a bunch of products and all that crap. As I went through my journey, I found it is very, very simple, but also is hard work... 1) You need to increase your maximum strength output. In other words, you need to get strong in your legs (specifically hamstrings, glutes and quads) and core (lower back and abs). The best exercises to do are squats (try around 4 sets of 5-12 reps), deadlifts (around 4 sets of 5-8 reps), straight legged deadlifts (3 sets of 8-12), and calf raises (3 sets of 10-15). For your core, do weighted planks and various crunches. Makes sure you lift for lower body no more than once a week. Also, try not to run around or do much that involves your legs the next day as you will want to recover (because you don't gain muscle and strength without proper rest). For your core, you can workout 3-4x per week. 2) You need to increase fast-twitch fibers...in other words, you need to increase how explosively you can jump off the ground. To do this, plyometrics are key. As opposed to Air Alert, which tells you to do hundreds and thousands of reps EVERY SINGLE DAY, which can cause serious injury (as it did me), you want to keep it light. Do plyometrics AFTER you lift, and you can do it once or twice more per week. Generally, some well-regarded plyometric exercises are box jumps and similar exercises. To get a more extensive workout routine, go to bodybuilding.com and type in "plyometrics" into the search bar and you'll find a number of good workouts. Also, 50-100 yard sprints are also tremendous for increasing speed/explosiveness. 3) PRACTICE. Don't go overboard and burn yourself out, but every 2 weeks keep track of your progress, and try different techniques. Personally, I jump much higher off 2 legs, but a lot of people jump higher off 1 leg. Figure out what works best for you.
  14. Yessir. I also jerk off in the shower every single time. In college it's hard to find alone time, so no one really questions why I take 4-5 showers a day.
  15. Interesting stuff. I don't know what the hell is going on with the defense, it's like they've just lost motivation to dominate on that side of the ball, which wasn't the case earlier in the season. Defense has got to be how this team will win a championship, and right now they are just dogging it.
  16. The players, of course. I think you are underestimating how much heat the players have been receiving (except Wade, and to a certain extent LeBron). If the players can't buy into a proven HoF coach's philosophy and motivation, then this thing needs to be blown up.
  17. It was kind of a crapshoot to see how he would do, but I think 99% of Heat fans would take Riley over Spo from the get-go to coach this team. I think a fair amount of people thought Spo would do just fine, but that was a month ago. With the way things are going, there is a chance they will start the first 1/4 of the season as a .500 ballclub...with the Big 3 healthy and some decent role players, there is no excuse for that. That is mostly on the coach. My post regarding Riley coming back to coach was 2 months before FA started. This is a very unique, delicate situation that realistically a 3rd year coach with little track record and no NBA playing experience likely can't handle. I agree with this. There is too much talent with the Big 3 and reputation with Pat Riley to not have Spo be the most expendable of the bunch. And honestly, if it was any other franchise, it would only be 1/100th of the issue it is right now, and that's because you have a HoF coach waiting in the wings.
  18. Hahahahah I'm sure you can find a Rodman interview that's better than this one, but still that's awesome. People forget just how utterly insane this dude was, even compared to Artest.
  19. Wojo is a great writer, but he gets on my nerves. Every other week there will be an article about Kobe's greatness and/or LeBron's clique. It gets tiring because his skills could be used to cover some of the lesser known teams and players in the league who are making an impact. But, nice article nontheless. I just feel that I've read about 50 of the same article, with slight variations to the wording.
  20. Explain to me how T-Mac choked when it counts, or choked so bad to where you'd take Fisher over him. T-Mac's career post-season numbers are something along the lines of 28/7/6. In his last playoff game he scored 40pts, but his teammates failed him, which was common in his post-season career. From '03-'08 he hit 9 game-winners and was 8-8 on GW FT attempts. According to 82games, in 06-07 he was actually one of the better clutch performers in the league. And it's especially funny that a Spurs fan would say that... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ceLlz7dOOvY
  21. It's quite simple- No team in NBA history has ever had such hype around a single season that the Heat do, so every little thing will be magnified like we have never seen before.
  22. Paul. Even though he's only scoring about 17PPG, his efficiency is insane, he's rebounding very well, he's got to be top 3 in the league in steals, he's dishing out over 10+ assists while turning the ball over at an unfairly low amount (only 2.5 per game), and his team is 11-2 without a legitimate all-star by his side (although West is playing very well). After Paul, I'd probably give it to Dwight. He's flown way under the radar. His team is 9-4, and he's on pace for the best offensive season since he entered the league, and his rebounding and defense is still elite.
  23. You used to have the best in the league... http://www.wonderful-again.com/shopimg/201003/1268245312.jpg http://www.bestsportsphotos.com/files/t_33957.jpg The old blue uniforms from the T-Mac days were easily my favorite of all-time. I actually have an authentic T-Mac one that I found on Ebay a few years back and they are SO nice. They are made from a special kind of material unlike any other jersey, and they are all shiny and nice. So sick.
  24. The 24PPG guy, easily. I'd rather have a guy who scores 24pts in the first 43min and puts my team ahead by 10, rather than the guy who doesn't score in the first 43min and puts my team down 15 with 5min to go.
  25. Necessary signing. The one area the Heat have gotten pounded on this season is on the offensive glass...they give up too many offensive boards, and don't get enough of them themselves. If nothing else, Dampier will give them that, and will give them much-needed size in the paint. He can also finish simple plays off near the rim, which is something Joel Anthony was never able to offer when he was still seeing the floor (he hasn't played the last 2 games).
