  1. will u start it as soon as the game comes out?
  2. dont have to be an [expletive] about it i thought maybe there coulda been a reason behind it
  3. The Oklahoma City Thunder has signed free agent guard Kevin Ollie. The 36-year-old Ollie has appeared in 637 games over 12 seasons spread over 11 different teams. He has averaged 3.8 points, 2.3 assists and 1.6 rebounds. Last season, the 6-foot-2 guard averaged 4.0 points, 2.3 assists and 1.5 rebounds in 50 games, including 21 starts, with the Timberwolves. Thunder general manager Sam Presti announced Ollie's contract Saturday. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. Presti says Ollie brings experience, leadership and professionalism to the team as it develops its roster on and off the floor. ill say im a little disappointed in the off season. i thought we would of made a bigger splash in FA. im starting to think presti is falling in love with the draft, hope that doesn't effect is judgement next off season as for this pick-up, guess its insurance
  4. they shoulda kept him, this guy was a superstar on my association 25-11-3
  5. there has been a ton of discussion of who is better who will be and who would u rather have so ill like to hear what you guys say
  6. as long as it stays off the actual jerseys i dont care. Australian jerseys look [expletive] house.
  7. i wouldnt mind if we went after a guy like Brian Cook shoot the 3 reasonably well. a small forward would be nice
  8. yeah multi year deal if he can get his assists up a lil higher, around 4-6 would be major
  9. what does that mean? .... and i don't believe he does have one and i highly doubt it with Green Westbrook harden Krstic Livingston, he wont need to score 31ppg
  10. i think its a very solid trade just in case white and/or Ibaka dont turn out like they did in the SL, we have a so-so guy who can bring some toughness. also his in his last year so clears up some cap and Damien Wilkins is finally gone and maybe a sign that colison is out?
  11. one minute its heat next its lakers, wth! untill nba.com report it, im over it.
  12. No matter how many times Kevin Durant states his desire — in newspapers and magazines, on blogs and through his Twitter account — the Thunder star continues to be bombarded with the same question. The wording varies, but the gist is clear: "When are you leaving Oklahoma?” In case you haven’t paid attention over much of the past calendar year, Durant isn’t looking to go anywhere. He’s said as much from the day the Thunder was introduced at media day last fall and made perhaps his strongest statements last week in a Q&A with Slam Magazine. "I love this team, man,” Durant said. "This is where I want to be. (General manager) Sam (Presti) is incredible. He’s like another father to me, outside of my real father. Anything I need. He’s always asking if I need anything or how my family is doing. I just like good people like that. He’s not just a GM. He’s more of an everyday guy that is always around. He asks my input on everything, whether it’s about the newest music out or what type of shoes I like. Small stuff like that. I love him, I love the organization and hopefully I can stay as long as possible.” But statements like those from stars such as Durant in small markets like Oklahoma City go unnoticed or aren’t understood nationally. And major media markets want to wind up the free-agent clock on Durant, even if he has no reason for wanting to leave Oklahoma City. The questions figure to keep coming until the ink of Durant’s signature dries on a new deal. But that day is not far away, and the pieces are coming together for the Thunder to retain its franchise player. In what will be a mere formality, the Thunder will announce sometime before Oct. 31 that it has exercised its team option for Durant’s fourth season. It allows the franchise to keep No. 35 through 2010-11. Durant will then become eligible for his first contract extension July 1, 2010. And next summer should prove to be a cut-and-dry negotiation period for Durant and the Thunder. Certain incentives likely will have to be hashed out, but the terms of the deal will be open and shut — the maximum number of Benjamins the Thunder can throw Durant’s way. It’ll also be more Benjamins than any other team can offer, with league rules allowing the Thunder to tender more years and higher annual raises to retain its player The only major question this time next year seems to be whether Durant will sign a long-term contract or be satisfied with a short-term deal. Under the league’s current collective bargaining agreement, Durant can sign an extension of up to five years, keeping him in town through the 2015-16 season. But he could also opt to sign a shorter deal in an attempt to maintain the most flexibility. In July 2006, LeBron James and Dwyane Wade both signed three-year deals with a player’s option for a fourth season rather than re-upping for five seasons. Tim Duncan did a similar three-year deal in 2000 as opposed to the then-maximum seven-year extension. Oklahoma City is in position to appease Durant on either front. Durant’s new deal wouldn’t kick in until the 2011-12 season, when the Thunder has just more than $14 million committed to five players — Russell Westbrook, James Harden, Serge Ibaka, Byron Mullens and D.J. White. That kind of cap space has become imperative for the Thunder to have if it has any interest in re-signing Durant and fellow 2007 classmate Jeff Green without soon having an uncontrollable payroll. It’s why we haven’t seen Oklahoma City overpay for David Lee and why the Thunder didn’t blow the budget on Paul Millsap, Ben Gordon or Anderson Varejao. Presti, in two short seasons, has built the Thunder into a team that his best player wants to play for and a franchise that is in very good position to keep him around. So relax, Oklahoma City. Kevin Durant isn’t going anywhere. How many times does he have to say it before we believe him? its hard no to believe a guy like him. his just a genuine guy EDIT... i posted them Q&A on another topic if you wanna read them.

  19. Nice Kicks: At what age did you decide that you wanted to play in the NBA? Kevin Durant: Since I was eight years old. I sat my mom down and had an eye to eye talk with her that I wanted to play basketball for a living and I wanted to be great. She pushed me from there. She didn’t give me any breaks, no time off, she made sure that I had the right people around me to help me succeed. Nice Kicks: Besides your mom, who else pushed you to succeed at basketball? Kevin Durant: My godfather taught me the game, my brother who was always there for me, and my grandmother who even though she didn’t know much about the game she made sure that I worked hard at everything that I did and my father as well. That was my circle that pushed me to be the best I could be. Nice Kicks: In the NBA, who inspired you to be your best? Kevin Durant: Vince Carter was that guy who I always looked up to. He always played with that fire and that passion and that’s what I wanted to do. He’s a great player to live up to. He has had a phenomenal career so far and he is with a new team now so its a new beginning for him again. That’s the guy I always wanted to be like. You know, I can’t jump as high as him, but I can play with that passion. Nice Kicks: We caught up with your former teammate DJ Augustin and he told us we needed to ask you about the Nike KD2. Kevin Durant: Yeah, I have been playing in those for the past couple of months at Texas to get used to them. He said he liked them and he isn’t a really big shoe guy so that says something. Nice Kicks: Are we going to see some of that story telling on the sole of the KD2? Kevin Durant: [laughs] I think we will. I can’t give you too much right now, but I think you will really like the KD2. Nice Kicks: What was something you now know about the NBA that you wished you knew when you were heading in? Kevin Durant: How long the season is - I took that for granted. It’s tough going through 82 games, plus preseason, plus playoffs if you make it, so you play almost 100 games a year… Nice Kicks: What’s the all time sneaker that you have ever owned? Kevin Durant: Um, I would have to say the Nike Flightposite. I had the gold ones. They looked so good that I couldn’t play in them. Definitely my favorite sneaker. Nice Kicks: What about your favorite sneaker that you have never owned? Kevin Durant: I never had any of the Pennys. I always wanted the Pennys, but I never had any of them. I always got the Pippens, but I never had the Pennys. So hopefully Nike can bring them back out again in a size that I can fit. Nice Kicks: Were the Pippens your favorite signature shoes growing up? Kevin Durant: It was. He had so many unique sneakers - especially the ones with the big “AIR” on the side, the Pippen II’s, and the Pippen’s with just the P logo on the side. He really did have some cool shoes. I think alot of people overlook how great Pippen’s shoes were. I liked them and had a bunch of different colors in them and was fortunate enough to have them. Nice Kicks: From Prince George, who has the best closet? You, Michael Beasley, or Wale? Kevin Durant: Wale, by far. That’s all he does, that’s his image, that’s what he has to do. That’s part of his image and his brand is to have a ton of great shoes and clothes. Plus he isn’t 6-10 or 6-8 like we are so it’s easier for him to go into the stores and buy stuff. He’s a fly guy. Nice Kicks: Any given day, what can we find on your feet when you’re off court? Kevin Durant: [Laughs] Flip-flops. You know, that’s all I wear all day is flip-flops. I hurt my toes so much playing ball, so I just want to give my feet and my toes some room when I’m off the court. But if I’m going somewhere you can find me in Air Force 1s, LeBrons, Jordans. Where I’m from we are big about our sneakers so you can expect to see me in any of those. Nice Kicks: If you weren’t playing basketball, what would you want to do as a career? Kevin Durant: Honestly, I don’t know. Basketball is the only thing that I set my mind to. Nice Kicks: But for the life after basketball? Kevin Durant: I would like to do something that is working with kids. I really enjoy doing that. pretty cool interview. theres more Q&A Here
